Sorcerer Supreme in MHA

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Truth Revealed

The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow over the city as Izuku walked home from school, his backpack bouncing lightly against his back. His steps were quick, eager to get home and continue his training. It had been another productive day of learning Sanskrit, practicing his physical techniques, and pushing himself a little further each time. It felt like every day was an opportunity to get closer to his goal.

But as he rounded the corner toward his street, he noticed something unusual—something that made his heart race with both excitement and a hint of worry.

A large crowd had gathered outside the police station.

Izuku's eyes widened. "What's going on?" he murmured to himself, his pace quickening as he approached. The crowd was buzzing with whispers, people pointing toward the entrance. He could see officers talking to civilians, but there was something else that caught his eye—something that made his blood run cold.

Standing by the door of the police station was a familiar figure, though one he had never expected to see here. Alex. Dressed in his usual attire, but with his presence unmistakable, his gaze cool and calculating as he observed the scene before him.

Izuku's heart skipped a beat. What was Alex doing here? And why was the atmosphere so tense?

He made his way through the crowd, trying to stay unnoticed. As he got closer, he could see a familiar face standing just outside the police station—Bakugo.

The explosive blond was being held back by two officers, his face a mixture of anger and frustration. He was shouting and struggling against the officers' hold, his fists clenched as though he were ready to explode at any moment. Izuku's stomach turned. He knew Bakugo had a temper, but this... this wasn't something he had seen before.

"Let me go, you damn extras!" Bakugo spat, his voice loud enough to carry over the crowd. "I'll show you what happens when you mess with me!"

Izuku's eyes widened, and he stepped back, his hand instinctively going to his own chest. He knew Bakugo had always been reckless, but this? This was different.

One of the officers glanced up at Alex, who was still standing calmly by the door. Alex's presence was unyielding, his gaze unwavering. The officer gave him a nod, and Alex approached Bakugo.

"It's time to take responsibility, Bakugo," Alex said, his voice low and authoritative. The words seemed to cut through the air, halting Bakugo's struggles for a moment. "You've crossed a line. I'm afraid I'm going to have to take you in."

Bakugo's eyes narrowed in disbelief. "What the hell are you talking about, Strange? You can't arrest me!"

Alex stepped closer, his posture calm but firm. "I am arresting you, Bakugo. For illegal Quirk usage. You've been using your Quirk outside of self-defense, causing harm to others. That's a crime."

The crowd fell silent as Bakugo's anger erupted in a fresh wave. "You think you can arrest me? I'm gonna be a hero!" he shouted, his hands crackling with the faintest sparks of his explosive power. "No one can stop me!"

Alex didn't flinch. "You can't use your power recklessly and expect no consequences. There's a fine line between being a hero and becoming a villain. And you've crossed that line."

Bakugo sneered, still struggling against the officers' hold. "You think you're some big shot? You're nothing but a damn lawyer in a cape!"

Alex's eyes darkened slightly at the insult, but his voice remained calm. "I'm not here as a lawyer, Bakugo. I'm here as Doctor Strange. And as a hero, it's my job to make sure people understand the difference between what's right and what's wrong."

The crowd around them was stunned into silence, but before anyone could speak, Alex spoke again. "Take him in. I'll handle the paperwork."

Izuku stood frozen in place, his heart racing. Did Alex just say... he was Doctor Strange? The Doctor Strange?

Alex, his older brother, the one who had been guiding him all this time, was secretly a hero? The Sorcerer Supreme? He had always suspected there was something strange about Alex—his knowledge, his abilities, his unshakable confidence—but this? This was something entirely different.

Hours later, back at home, Izuku sat in the living room, staring at the floor, still processing everything he had learned. His hands were clasped together, his fingers twitching as he fought to make sense of the new information. Alex, the mysterious hero he had looked up to all this time, was Doctor Strange.

Inko sat beside him, her expression soft and understanding. She had known the truth for years, but seeing Izuku's shock and confusion was painful. She gently placed a hand on his shoulder, offering the comfort he needed.

"Izuku," Alex said from the doorway, his voice steady, "I think it's time we talked."

Izuku lifted his head, his eyes searching his brother's face. "You're... Doctor Strange?"

Alex smiled faintly and walked into the room, sitting beside him. "Yes. But I've kept that part of my life from you until now. I wanted you to grow up without the weight of my past on your shoulders. I wanted you to make your own path, without any expectations. But now... you're old enough to understand."

Inko's voice was gentle but firm. "Izuku, your brother is more than just a hero. He's been through a lot in his life, and he's taken on the responsibility of being Doctor Strange because of his training, his knowledge, and his ability to protect the world."

Izuku nodded slowly, trying to process the truth. "But... why didn't you tell me before?"

Alex looked at him with a mixture of regret and understanding. "I didn't want to overwhelm you. And I didn't want you to think that you had to be like me. You don't. You're already unique, Izuku. Your path, your journey, is yours to make. I've only been guiding you to find your own strength."

Izuku's mind swirled with questions, but there was one thing he couldn't hold back any longer. "What about Dad? Where is he? Why... why isn't he here?"

Alex's expression darkened. "Your father..." He hesitated, his gaze shifting to Inko before returning to Izuku. "Your father was never the man he appeared to be. When I was younger, I found out the truth. He... he cheated on your mother, and when I confronted him, he tried to sweep it all under the rug. I couldn't let that happen. I used everything I could—my knowledge, my influence, and yes, my power—to make sure that he couldn't just walk away from his responsibilities."

Izuku felt a weight settle over him, the truth hitting him harder than any punch ever could. His father wasn't a hero. He wasn't the man Izuku had always thought he was.

"But... why didn't you tell me this earlier?" Izuku whispered, his voice breaking.

"I wanted to protect you from that hurt," Alex replied softly. "But now you're old enough to understand that life isn't always as simple as it seems. Your mother and I... we've always wanted what's best for you. And now that you're growing up, it's time you understood the truth. Your father's actions have nothing to do with your potential, Izuku. What matters is the person you choose to be."

Izuku swallowed hard, his emotions a swirling mess. But deep down, he knew Alex was right. He couldn't let his father's mistakes define him. He had his own path to walk, his own future to create.

"I get it," Izuku said, his voice steady despite the storm raging inside him. "I won't let it control me."

Alex smiled proudly. "Good. That's the first step."
