Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 95: The Flower-Selling Child

Morning

Warm sunlight streamed through the living room's backyard French windows, casting onto the dining table.

The rectangular dining table made of unknown wood emitted a faint fragrance.

Kane and Kreya sat facing each other, having breakfast at the table.

Her smooth red hair gleamed under the sunlight. A delicate white hand tucked her hair behind her ear, revealing dazzling teardrop earrings.

The tip of her fair ear visibly turned red.

Kreya's face blushed slightly as she shyly asked, "Kane, do you have any plans for today?"

Upon hearing Kreya's words, Kane withdrew his gaze.

"Planning to visit the Mechanical Association to do some research later."

Then, looking at Kreya, he asked, "What about you?"

"I heard there's a place called the City of Gastronomy here. I want to see if there are any recipes or ingredients I've never seen before."

Since childhood, Kreya, who was fond of martial arts, had few hobbies. Her greatest passion was culinary skills and delicious food.

The City of Gastronomy is a worldwide organization, with its headquarters located in the City of Gastronomy.

Due to the existence of dungeons, culinary skills and rare ingredients from various worlds have gathered here.

Moreover, many dungeons are extremely vast.

Some teams venture in for ten days to half a month, resulting in a logistics specialist among many teams.

Additionally, some ingredients can grant attributes and enhancement effects, causing the City of Gastronomy to grow larger and larger. Nowadays, every major city has an organization like this.

Upon hearing Kreya's words, Kane thought for a moment and said, "Since we're both heading out, let's go together later."

Kreya did not refuse Kane's invitation.

As for Meizike and Longbei, they had already gone out early in the morning.

After breakfast, Kane held Cotton Candy in the living room, waiting.

After all, Kreya is a girl, so she must dress up nicely to go out.

Kane stroked the smooth, silky feel of Cotton Candy in his arms, lifting it up to take a look.

"Beep beep"

"Have you grown larger again?"

Looking at Cotton Candy in his arms, it now was much larger than Kane's head.

Even though he only fed it water each day, Cotton Candy seemed to inflate like a balloon.

But this was a good thing, Kane had been wanting to try if he could fly into the sky with it.

After playing around with Cotton Candy for a while, Kreya finally opened the door to her room and stepped out.

She wore a black silk top with open shoulders, revealing milk-like skin. Her bottom half was a white, flowing long skirt.

She also wore a white sun hat, and on her slender, fair neck was a ruby necklace.

To say the least, this outfit made Kane find it hard to look away from Kreya.

"You look really beautiful now," Kane said earnestly.

"Really?" Hearing Kane's compliment, Kreya's slightly red face showed a hint of joy.

"Beep beep" Even Cotton Candy hummed happily, floating into her arms.

Holding the floating Cotton Candy, Kreya buried her face into its fluff, nuzzling it.

Beside them, Youyou flew around, holding a book while reading.

The book's title was "Human Interaction."

It had been researching human interaction lately, trying to learn.

After changing shoes at the door, Kane opened the door for Kreya, signaling her.

"Please, my lovely lady."

Kreya covered her mouth and giggled, reaching her delicate hand toward Kane.

Kane laughed heartily, taking Kreya's hand and leading her out the door.

The two walked slowly down the street.

The street was bustling with cars and people, some commuting hastily with briefcases.

"Cling cling cling"

Some workers on bicycle-like vehicles sounded a noise, signaling pedestrians to move aside.

A newspaper boy ran past Kane and Kreya, shouting today's headline.

"The town hall decided no worker's salary should be less than six silver per month."

"Give me one copy."

"I want one too."

"These bald lords finally did something good."

Kane and Kreya listened to the discussions around them, and these news were clearly very important to the locals.

Unfortunately, it meant nothing to Kane and Kreya.

The two walked quietly on the street, undisturbed by the hustle and curious gazes from passersby.

Suddenly, Kane felt a tug on his pants.

Looking down, he saw a little girl wearing a red cap and shabby clothes, staring with big round eyes and timidly looking at him.

The little girl softly asked, "Sir, would you like to buy a bouquet?"

Kane noticed the cloth bag with various colored flowers on her back.

He squatted down and asked the little girl, "How much per flower?"

Upon hearing Kane's interest, the little girl excitedly replied, "One copper coin, sir, just one copper coin."

Kane smiled and took out a gold coin, saying, "I'll take them all."

"Really?" The unexpected surprise made the little girl's voice excited.

Kane wrapped the gold coin in transparent magic power, then placed it in her hand.

He whispered in her ear, "Keep it safe, when the magic power fades, the gold coin will be revealed, so be careful."

The little girl watched Kane hide the gold coin and place it in her hand.

She immediately understood his intent, gratefully nodding to Kane.

"Okay."

Then, she handed Kane the flowers in the cloth bag.

And blessed them, "With kind-hearted gentlemen like you, you will surely be happy."

"Hahaha," Kane patted her head, "You only have one minute to hide it."

Kreya's face was slightly flushed.

After hearing Kane's words, the little girl quickly turned and ran off, then waved back at them, "Thank you, big brother."

Kane held the flowers, and Kreya smiled and waved back.

They watched the little girl safely disappear around the corner.

Kane turned to Kreya.

He handed her the flowers.

"A little girl's kindness cannot be refused."

Kreya blushed as she hugged the flowers to her chest.
