Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 72: Explosive News

Kane sat at the bar, eating the breakfast that Burton had prepared for him.

The hall was once full of explorers, but now there were only a few scattered people.

Burton finally finished his work, beginning his day, and then started chatting with Kane.

Cotton Candy slept the entire morning and now, seemingly well-rested, opened its eyes and started fluttering around Kane.

"Beep!"

"Alright, alright, just don't go outside,"

The sound from Cotton Candy was asking Kane if it could play around.

Hearing Kane's response, it eagerly floated around the tavern, beginning its adventure. Everything here was unfamiliar to the newborn.

He reminded Yo-Yo to keep an eye on Cotton Candy, which meant Yo-Yo could only spin around the tavern too.

Just then, the familiar sound of hoofbeats came from the corridor next to the bar; it seemed Kreya was awake.

"Uncle Burton, a large honey fruit pie, please."

"Got it, just a moment."

Kreya walked over and saw that Kane had already finished breakfast, and asked, "Why are you up so early today?"

Kane didn't answer, but tilted his head, indicating Cotton Candy which was floating around the hall.

"What is that thing?"

Seeing Kane motion towards it, Kreya asked.

"That's the pet that hatched from the egg yesterday."

"A puff of cotton?" Kreya's voice carried a hint of confusion.

"It's a cloud."

"A cloud?"

"A cloud."

"The other worlds are truly amazing."

Due to these dungeons being fragments from other worlds, no amount of strange creatures appearing in this world would be surprising, only making one marvel at the vastness of the world.

Kreya continued to stare intently at Cotton Candy, carefully observing it.

Soon, Burton came over with a large sweet pie, which Kreya quickly devoured.

Watching Kreya eat, Kane suddenly said, "After you finish, come with me to the Mist station at the dungeon entrance. I'm going to post a bounty to see if we can help you collect all the shoulder armor components."

Hearing Kane's words, Burton asked, "You guys got a piece of the armor set?"

With her mouth full, Kreya nodded and took out the shoulder armor from her space equipment.

Burton examined the shoulder armor closely and suddenly exclaimed, "I've seen explorers before wearing equipment similar in color and style to this one, didn't expect it was a set."

Hearing Burton's words gave Kane more confidence in collecting a whole set, implying this set wasn't that rare, or even unique.

After dinner, Kreya and Kane left the tavern.

Before leaving, they called for Yo-Yo and Cotton Candy to follow.

Looking at Cotton Candy on Kane's shoulder, Kreya couldn't help but want to reach out and touch it.

Seeing Kreya wanting to touch it, Cotton Candy immediately dashed to the other side, sticking close to Kane's head, peeking out to observe this woman.

"It's okay, Cotton Candy, she won't hurt you."

"Like candy made of cotton? What a fitting name."

Hearing its owner's words, Cotton Candy bravely floated out.

Kane looked at it encouragingly and said, "It's okay, go ahead."

Thus, Cotton Candy slowly floated over.

Kreya gently cupped it in her hands, unable to resist poking it with a finger.

"So soft."

Thus, Kreya's relationship with Cotton Candy quickly improved, and they even started to frolic together.

It wasn't long before they arrived at the dungeon entrance.

Walking towards the nearby Mist station.

Walking into the Mist station, the staff quickly came up and asked, "Is there anything you need help with?"

"I want to post a bounty for some equipment, and I'm not sure how to proceed."

Hearing Kane's query, the staff quickly guided them to a counter.

The staff took out a piece of paper from under the counter and said, "Please provide the information of the equipment you want to bounty and the amount of the reward."

Kane looked at Kreya, indicating how much she was willing to spend on the bounty.

"We need three more pieces: a helmet, chest armor, and leg armor."

Kreya understood and said, "Four Mist coins per piece then."

Considering the attributes of the shoulder armor, if the other parts have similar attributes, then this price would definitely be above market value.

They provided the names of the other three pieces of equipment, each with a bounty of four Mist coins, to the staff.

The staff nodded and said, "Please wait over here for a moment."

Considering Kreya, Kane didn't find a seat but rather picked up a copy of the latest newspaper from a magazine rack nearby to read.

Kreya, meanwhile, continued to play with Cotton Candy.

"Whoa."

The sudden exclamation made Kreya look at him quizzically.

"Nothing, nothing."

Kane said it was nothing, but looking at a certain piece of information in the newspaper, his arm couldn't help trembling with excitement.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

Kreya leaned over, concerned.

"Inhale, exhale."

A few deep breaths helped Kane calm down a bit.

Kreya, somewhat puzzled, couldn't help but peek at the newspaper in his hand.

After looking for a while, she finally found a piece of news that might make Kane so excited.

"Kant Harbor, a Garbage Dungeon appears, after much exploration, only magic materials are found."

This news actually made him so excited.

Apparently, Kane's demand for magic materials was even more exaggerated than she imagined.

How could he not be excited? This dungeon, like a garbage hell to others, is practically heaven to him.

Once his team completes this dungeon, not only himself but even his teammates will significantly improve in strength.

No need to say more, this dungeon is immediately prioritized as the highest level.

The current main task is to quickly complete the final phase of the 'Crystalline Arena' dungeon, then move to the dungeon mentioned in the newspaper.

Just then, the staff came over with three bounty slips, indicating for Kane and Kreya to follow.

Kane followed the staff to the notice board at the stone house entrance, watching as the staff posted the three bounty slips there.

Once these bounties are completed, the council will take a 5% fee as a reward.

After finishing this, Kane and Kreya prepared to return to the tavern. The new information made Kane walk with a spring in his step, unable to contain his smile.

Kreya followed behind, looking at the man in front with resignation.

He even leapt a couple of times and punched the air. Even a dog could tell his mood was soaring.

In her heart, Kreya once again raised the importance of magic materials; they were crucial to their captain.
