Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 185 Remote Communication

On the Sakuvian Grassland, stands a magnificent estate.

The estate is vast, with various buildings that seem ill-suited for humans; however, this isn't a human gathering place.

This grassland is a gathering place for the four-hoofed centaur kind.

The entire estate is three stories high, and they are not connected by stairs but rather gentle slopes, allowing ease of movement for the centaur beings.

At the moment, in a spacious room on the second floor of the estate, the entire room is illuminated by a magic lamp emitting a warm white glow, with some exquisite paintings hanging on the walls.

These paintings depict centaur girls at various stages of life, some sitting, some standing, most clad in various heavy and light armors, wielding different weapons.

The arrangement of these paintings suggests they document the growth of a centaur girl.

At the center of the room is a thick soft carpet laid on the floor, acting as a bed.

A centaur girl in pajamas is half-reclining on it, with a head of red hair, and a pin with a red gemstone attached to her collar.

In her hand is a black samurai sword, and she is using an oiled cloth with the other hand to carefully wipe the blade, humming an unknown tune.

It is clear she is in a very good mood.

Next to her sits another girl with a unicorn horn; from her attire, she seems to be a maid of the estate.

"Miss, you've been holding onto this weapon every day. Was it given to you by someone important?"

Hearing her maid's words, Kreya couldn't help but recall a young man, her face involuntarily blossoming into a slight blush.

Watching her mistress, her face slightly red and filled with sweetness as she gazed at the samurai sword in her hand, she seemed lost in her own world.

Judging by the look of the mistress, it seemed she had fallen in love during her travels, but Mi Siqi couldn't imagine what kind of man the valiant and dashing Kreya would be interested in.

At this moment, the ruby on Kreya's collar suddenly vibrated.

"Mi Siqi, you can leave now, I'm going to rest."

Upon hearing Kreya's words, the unicorn maid bowed and left Kreya's room, closing the door behind her.

Once Mi Siqi left the room, Kreya quickly stored the samurai sword in her space and then took the vibrating ruby pin from her collar, channeling magic power into it.

As the magic power flowed in, a magnetic male voice rang in her ears; it was Kane's voice.

"Hey, can you hear me, Kreya?"

Hearing Kane's voice, Kreya couldn't help but smile sweetly; since returning, she had been eagerly waiting for Kane to contact her via the ruby pin.

"I can hear you."

The communication distance of the ruby pin was within the same space.

Here, space refers to the same dungeon, not two different dungeons, or one inside and one outside a dungeon.

"Good to hear. This thing really has a long transmission distance."

"Yes, being able to talk to Kane over such a distance."

Kreya was lying on the bed, smiling as she rolled side to side.

...

In a stone house in the small town, Kane was lying on his wooden bed.

In his hand was the ruby pin, smiling as he chatted with Kreya.

"You have no idea how unlucky I was this time around. You know the Black Mist, right? The terrifying organization mentioned in the books before."

Kane began to slowly share with Kreya the events he had experienced over the past few days.

As Kane shared his stories, Kreya listened attentively, frequently responding and asking if he was injured or needed her assistance.

"Finally, the captain of those Black Mist explorers mentioned something about using that crystal stone to find a certain node to blow up the dungeon. Are you familiar with this?"

When Kane asked this question, there was a momentary silence as Kreya seemed to ponder whether she had any knowledge of this information.

Shortly, Kreya's voice came through the ruby: "Found it. A year ago, in the northern part of the world, within the Scuylles Empire, there was a dungeon said to be very resource-rich.

But after it was cleared only three times, it mysteriously vanished, and subsequent information was sealed by the Mist Council, handled entirely by them."

After hearing Kreya's information, Kane couldn't help but think that these people seemed to have indeed successfully destroyed a dungeon in the past. Then why would Kakur express disbelief in such news?

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, now was the time to enjoy the chat with Kreya, and somehow the conversation had veered off course.

He then shifted the topic, chatting with Kreya about other things.

Their conversation, although seemingly mundane to outsiders, was the best topic for the two of them.

Unknowingly, Kane and Kreya chatted until dawn before reluctantly disconnecting.

...

After completing Uncle Ge Mu's task, Kane had been spending his days reading or training and chatting with Kreya in the evenings.

Occasionally, he would dine at Uncle Ge Mu's place, enjoying Auntie Amisha's cooking.

The day after tomorrow was the day for the team to gather, and Kane planned to head to Lion City early the next morning.

He still needed to visit the Explorer's House there to receive the rewards mentioned by the Mist Council and look for information on the next dungeon.

Whether it was the dungeon with the last rune key or the dungeon with the final cloak piece of Kreya's outfit, they all needed to be researched and consulted.

After dinner at Uncle Ge Mu's home, Auntie Amisha was busy clearing the dishes and taking them to the kitchen to wash.

Taking advantage of this, Kane said, "I'm planning to leave tomorrow; the agreed time with the team is coming soon."

Upon hearing Kane's words, Auntie in the kitchen poked her head out and asked, "Not staying few more days, Kane? You just got back and haven't rested for long."

"Amisha, don't hold the child back; he's now a leader of an exploration team and needs to take responsibility for the entire team.

Remember safety when exploring dungeons after leaving. My experience no longer applies to you, but remember you still have family waiting for you here."

Listening to their warm words, Kane smiled and replied, "Of course, I'll definitely be careful and be back to see you again soon."

"Next time you come back, Kane, you have to tell me more about your adventures!"

"Haha, no problem at all."
