Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 906: 903: Sleep

Despite Corey's anger, he knew that there was nothing he could do at the moment. He had to leave the trial to be able to find the Clown.

With a thought, a translucent screen asking if he wanted to leave the trial space appeared before him, and his finger moved to yes.

But he stopped before he tapped it.

He looked in the direction where he had kept the Thirteenth Dawn with furrowed brows.

'Are they still alive or had the Clown killed them?'

As he had this thought, he just hoped and wished that the Clown had not killed all the members of the Thirteenth Dawn or else he was going to have his hands full with so many annoying questions and interrogations.

Although he had killed Zeke, the situation could be salvaged, and he could find a way around what a situation arose due to Zeke's death.

But if all the members of the Thirteenth Dawn were dead?

Then... he would be more pissed off.

'Please just tell me that they're alive.'

Corey's pure white eyes glowed brightly as he increased the output of his Eyes of Omniscience.

His vision expanded and focused on the location of the Thirteenth Dawn. He bypassed the security measures he put in place and also the thick underground earth, and then... he saw the Thirteenth Dawn.

Or to be more precise... Their corpses.

Corey's gaze darkened, and he observed their corpses.

'Their necks were slit, and there is no sign of struggle... So damn annoying.'

"Tsk. The Clown." Corey clicked his tongue in annoyance and anger, and he receded his vision.

"So despite my plans to ensure that the Thirteenth Dawn remain safe. To ensure that they had no idea of what I had done here. To ensure that I don't have to be interrogated by a bunch of weaklings... A freaking clown messed all of that up?"

"Damn it."

Corey kicked a stone in annoyance, and then he tapped the 'YES' on the translucent screen in front of him.

The moment he tapped the screen, a golden light engulfed him and he vanished.

A light gust of wind blew across the desolate and ruined Virendell for a few seconds before the red stars in the sky dimmed and went out completely.

Darkness engulfed the entire city.

Meanwhile, Corey appeared in the room that had served as the entrance to the trial realm.

Unlike other people who would have been disoriented, he was not and he calmly looked around.

He was expecting to see a lot of hunters, especially high ranking hunters since for the trial to have changed, then there must also have been changes in the outside world.

However, he only saw three Tier 4 hunters standing in the room which seemed to be rather empty.

He furrowed his brows slightly, and then he glanced at the badges of the Tier 4 hunters.

'Platinum Hunters.' Corey thought with a raised brow.

"You're finally back. Took you guys long enough."

The Tier 4 Hunters were comprised of two women and one man.

One of the women had fiery red hair and she was breathtakingly beautiful even in Corey's eyes. The other had brown hair, and although she was beautiful, standing beside the woman with red hair diminished her beauty.

The man was lean, and was wearing a dark blue suit along with dark shades that were on his eyes.

He stood behind the two ladies with his arms folded, and his gaze on Corey.

It was the woman with fiery red hair that had spoken, and when she spoke, she seemed to be in a haste, nearly pulling Corey away from the teleportation platform he stood on.

She grabbed his hand and pulled. "What are you doing standing there like that? We need to move and leave this place. A dungeon opened up in the middle of the city. An evacuation order has been given throughout the city."

Corey looked at the woman's hand which was holding his, and after thinking about it for a fraction of a second, he took a step forward.

If he had not moved on his own, the woman would not have been able to move him with the amount of strength she was using.

'A dungeon break in the middle of the city? Could this be related to what happened in the trial realm?'

Corey had just taken five steps before his arm was held by the man, forcing him to stop.

"What's wrong, John?" The woman with fiery red hair asked with a frown.

"No other person has arrived on the teleportation platform, Lady Diane. Only this boy has arrived."

John, the man in a dark blue suit and shades said with a cold and suspicious tone as he held Corey's arm.

Diane, the woman with fiery red hair paused and visibly calmed down. She looked at the teleportation platform, and when she saw there were no signs of it activating, a solemn expression appeared on her face.

"I was in a hurry so I didn't even take note of that. That was careless of me." She turned and looked at Corey with a solemn and suspicious gaze. "Care to explain, Silver-ranked Hunter Ryan?"

Corey looked at the woman, and then he sighed out loud with visible annoyance on his face.

He removed his arm from John's grip, and then he covered his face and sighed out loud once again.

He looked at John from the space between his finger tips, and then he wagged his finger at him.

"Come closer. Let me tell you what happened."

John frowned, and without putting much thought to it, he moved closer to Corey.

Normally, he would not have done such a thing, but because Corey was a Tier 3 and he felt no danger from him, he was not on guard against Corey at all.

And this was a terrible mistake.

"Speak."

Although John's Tier was higher, there was something that was higher, and that was Corey's height.

John had to look up a little to stare at Corey's face.

Meanwhile, Corey opened his palm in response, and then he blew at John's face.

A whitish powder landed on John's face, and John took a step back in wariness and confusion.

"What did you-"

Before he could complete his sentence, a drowsy expression appeared on his face and his eyes closed.

He fell to the ground and began snoring deeply.

"I guess that's one down." Corey muttered softly as he looked at the deeply sleeping John.
