Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1142: 1139: Battling The Tribulation (2)

Cough!

Cough!

Cough!

Corey coughed out mouthfuls of blood as he looked at the missing chunk of his waist.

It took him a long while which was just three seconds to understand what was going on.

He was looking at the hands of the colossal puppet with immense focus, then his body moved to the side without his orders, then he heard a massive explosion behind him, then he saw a massive scorched crater, then he saw that he was bleeding.

What was going on?

Why was he bleeding?

When was he attacked?

Who attacked him?

Despite the fact that Corey had all these questions in his mind, he subconsciously knew the answers to these questions.

Why is why he shifted his gaze from his bleeding waist to the colossal hands that crushed the Heavenly Executor.

Or, to be more exact... That was meant to have crushed the Heavenly Executor.

"No way."

Corey muttered in disbelief as he saw the colossal hands crumble into pieces.

A significant portion of it was charred to ashes, and the remaining parts fell into the Black Sea, causing earthquakes and tsunamis.

And at the center of the crumbling metal hands was the Heavenly Executor, pointing its golden lightning bolt in his direction.

It was when Corey saw this he knew that the Heavenly Executor was the one who nearly killed him and caused the massive crater behind him.

As for who saved him?

It was Prima and Primus, mainly Prima.

Primus was much more powerful than Corey, and he could see the movements of the Heavenly Executor and he could even react to it.

But at the end of the day, he was just a weapon, and his combat experience and also abilities were not enough to battle the Heavenly Executor all on his own.

He needed his master, Corey.

But Corey was too weak.

It was evident just how vast the difference between Corey and the Heavenly Executor was, by the mere fact that Corey did not even see the flash of the Heavenly Executor's attack and neither did he hear the sound of its attack.

Heck, he did not even feel his waist getting cut and burnt.

The difference was far too much.

If not for Prima who was also stronger than Corey and who had a deep connection with Primus, she would never have been able to move Corey out of the attack as quickly as she did.

Primus shared his senses to her, and she moved Corey's body without his Will.

When all of these was told to him by both Primus and Prima, he released a deep sigh.

However, his expression was still calm.

He had expected this.

He already knew that he would not be able to defeat the Tribulation with his power.

He was just a mortal, and the Tribulation could kill Immortals and Gods.

How could he hope to defeat such a thing?

His plan was to depend on Primus, Prima, and most importantly, the colossal puppet to defeat the Tribulation.

But the reality was far, far, far different than the billions of simulations he ran in his mind.

As he stared at the colossal puppet which had lost its hands and would have lost a lot more if the Heavenly Executor's focus was on him.

'And that's a Half-Step Tier 12... Even if it only has a fraction of its original power, this is still absurd.'

'It didn't even last a single exchange against that thing.'

'Well, this is bad... I might die here today, but at least I won't-'

Corey's instincts instantly screamed at him, causing him to abruptly end his thoughts.

The air around felt electrified, and the hair on his arms rose and stood at attention.

His head snapped up, and his pupils constricted into an extremely tiny dot as he saw the Heavenly Executor directly right in front of him.

'When?!'

Although Corey had been looking down and having several thoughts regarding the colossal puppet, he had not been distracted in the slightest.

His Eyes of Omniscience gave him a 360° view of his surroundings, and the thoughts he had were from a single Star of Consciousness. He still had thousands of other Stars of Consciousness, and they were extremely focused on the Heavenly Executor.

It could be said that even if Corey was having a thousand thoughts while looking in another direction, his gaze, attention, and focus was still on enemy.

But this enemy... The Heavenly Executor was far too powerful and quick for him.

He had not even seen him move. It was like he was in two locations at the same time.

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

In less than a second, four exchanges had occurred between him and the Heavenly Executor, and each of these exchanges shattered his bones, boiled his blood to ridiculous degrees, and melted his skin like wax.

These four exchanges had not been done by him, but by Primus and Prima. They were the ones controlling his body, but the result was clear.

Primus and Prima had only been able to block the attacks that were aimed at his vital points, but the other parts of his body were beyond recognition.

Four thrusts.

That was all the Heavenly Executor had done, and Primus and Prima struggled so much to block and deflect these four thrusts.

Corey could not even blame the duo because they had little to no battle experience, and they were like talented kids in swordsmanship who were just holding a sword for the first time.

They were learning at a rapid pace, but they didn't have the time to do such a thing.

CLANG!

BANG!

Another exchange occurred, and Corey's eyeballs nearly popped out of his sockets as he slammed into the ground with his back.

The force was so much that the shockwave would have flattened twelve buildings, and Corey felt his already damaged insides rupture because of this.

COUGH!

GAHHH!

COUGH!

Corey coughed out a mouthful of blood mixed with parts of his organs and even bones.

He struggled to get up, but he couldn't.

He hadn't fought this battle himself for even a single second, but his body was a wreck to behold.

Crackle!

Step

A golden foot made out of lightning appeared in front of Corey, and Corey looked at the Heavenly Executor with a slight frown but his gaze was still calm and focused.

'I'm not dying here. Not now, not ever.'
