Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1044: 1041: Madness

Madness

Pure madness

This is what Corey had been feeling from the Clown ever since he met him.

He had tried to understand the Clown. He had tried to guess what his goals. He had tried to guess what his next moves would be.

But everything about the Clown was pure madness and chaos. He just could not understand and grasp the masked man.

There were several future scenarios he had in his head when he began attacking the Clown and his puppets, but what he never expected was for the Clown to swallow the Book of Death!

The Book of Death was an item of unknown origins. It was an item that was gotten from a being beyond the scope of their universe.

Corey had no idea what the abilities of the Book of Death was, but even he was wary of the Book of Death with all his talents.

With such an ominous name, and with such an ominous aura around the book, what sane person would choose to swallow the Book of Death?

And the answer was no sane person would swallow such an ominous book.

The Clown was definitely not a sane person.

"Urgh... Damn it." The Clown cursed and wobbled a few times before falling on his knees. Several parts of his body swelled and went back to normal numerous times, causing everybody to see a rather disgusting and eerie sight.

"I guess absorbing the Book of Death was a little bit- Blergh!"

The Clown began vomiting his insides. Bright red blood, his intestines, and some other internal organs of his were vomited from his mouth.

After this, he began vomiting black blood along with black worms, locusts, and scorpions.

These worms, locusts, and scorpions released buzzing sounds like that of flies and mosquitoes. It was an extremely eerie sight, but that was not all.

These worms, locusts, and scorpions then encircled the Clown, and Corey could see through his Eyes of Omniscience that the Clown's body was being devoured.

"Hahahahaha!!! Don't stop! Don't stop!"

The Clown laughed loudly like a madman, and Jeremy and his companions subconsciously took a step back in fear.

The Clown's madness was truly incomprehensible and fear inducing.

Meanwhile, as the Clown was undergoing whatever it was he was undergoing, Corey has an extremely deep frown because he could not attack the Clown or disrupt what was happening.

He could see a dense aura of death along with an dreadful presence surrounding the Clown, and he knew that this presence was due to the Book of Death.

If he tried to interfere or attack the Clown, his life would be in danger.

'Damn it.' Corey cursed inwardly as he watched the Clown.

As for the Clown, his body was devoured by the worms, locust, and scorpions. The only parts of his body that was left untouched was his face and mask.

The flesh on his head, his hair, and his ears were devoured, but his face was protected by the mask.

A few moments later, the locusts, worms, and scorpions turned into a dense black liquid that swallowed every tiny bit of the Clown's body.

As Corey watched this, he knew that the Clown should have died because of the worms, insects, and scorpions. But his immortality prevented that from happening.

The Clown just could not die no matter what.

Even swallowing the Book of Death was not enough to kill him.

Some moments later, a black sphere that was thrice the size of an average man hovered above the ground.

The sea of lightning and the pieces of divine silver that were previously on the ground were more. They disintegrated and became smaller than a speck of dust.

And surprisingly, the disintegration was spreading across the sea of lightning at a rather fast rate.

Corey glanced at the black lines of decay that was spreading on the ground for a moment before shifting his attention back to the Clown.

The black sphere of black liquid pulsed a few times, and then the Clown's laughter echoed across the realm of the world tree.

"Hahahahaha! More! More! Give me more!"

Corey's frown deepened, but a second later, his head snapped to the right where over a thousand charred corpses were on the ground.

These charred corpses slowly dissolved into blood, and the blood began to flow toward the black sphere of death.

Although Corey had no idea what would happen if the blood was allowed to flow into the sphere, he knew that it would obviously not be a good thing for him.

So he attacked the blood.

He tried burning it. He tried freezing it. He tried using both black lightning and silver lightning to destroy it. He tried using his Phantom Plague Axe Heart Intent to cut it into oblivion. He tried using divine silver to contain it, but nothing he did worked.

No matter what he did, the blood continued flowing toward the Clown.

If he burned it, it would not burn.

If he freezes it, it would not freeze.

If he cut it, it would rejoin itself.

If he tried to contain it, it would flow through the container like it did not exist.

It was like a law stated that the blood must reach the Clown, and then it happened.

Despite everything that Corey did, the blood from thousands of people, from every single puppet of his flowed into the Clown.

Humans, vampires, werewolves, undead, silver elves, and titans.

Every single one of them dissolved into blood and flowed into the black sphere, and then... the black sphere grew so much to the point that it was twice the size of an average titan.

It was more than half the size of the world tree, and Corey and the others had to distance themselves from the sphere because of its growth. If they touched it, they all knew that they would die.

The breaths of Corey, Pamela, Jeremy, and the others stopped as they looked at the colossal black sphere.

And then... the black sphere shattered into pieces, revealing the Clown's new form of madness and death.
