Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess

One quiet evening at the outskirt forest just outside the Herb Valley's territory. In the forest area where a mansion was located at the center of it, an invisible defensive formation separates the area from the rest of the land. While the Moon Goddess is having a conversation with Su Gin'er, Elder Susan's granddaughter, a meteor falls above the forest. This is actually an attack from those who are waiting in ambush outside the defensive formation.

Su Gin'er looked at the sky and was stunned by the meteor falling above their heads.

"Is that a meteor? AH! It's falling on us! Senior, Save us!" She screamed as she crouched on the ground while covering her head.

Beside her, Yue Xuexia is calm and staring nonchalantly at the falling flaming stones above. However, Su Gin'er's scream had caught the attention of the cubs and Princess Yaoyun who was on her way down after eating the healing pill given to him by the moon goddess a few minutes ago.

Two toddlers and a Liger cub jump towards the windows edge looking at the night sky illuminated by falling stars. They are unexpectedly calm leaving Su Gin'er, who is covering her head, look a bit ridiculous.

Su Gin'er sneaked a peek and witnessed this scene. Her fear slowly faded for no reason and even asked, "Are you not afraid?"

The cubs looked at her with confusion painted on their faces.

"Why be afraid?"

"Is the defensive formation Mom made a joke to you?"

Princess Yaoyun who just approached them overheard their conversation and looked at the group then towards the sky with falling meteors. Yue Huashui's words were true. The moment the falling meteors fell on the defensive formation that protects the area, they only saw it being stopped by the barrier and completely stopping its falling movement even though the explosion was blocked with no problems. What made it strange is that because of the isolation and sound blocking enhancement of the formation, they didn't even hear the explosion nor did the land even tremble from the impact.

The scene was like seeing eggs hit a rock. It was useless and not effective at all. The meteors had destroyed themselves, falling onto the ground outside the protection leaving lavas and melted land. As for the target land itself, it was unharmed and a barrier was protected from all attacks.

Su Gin'er and Princess Yaoyun watch this scene with shock in their eyes. What kind of formation is this that was able to block a high-grade technique like meteor fall.

The Moon Goddess said, "The visitors must be here for you. You can come out and meet them. As long as you don't come out of the formation you remain unharmed. Unless a late stage Huashen Realm cultivator attacked the formation, it would be impossible to break." Forabetter

"Wake me up if something you can't handle happens," the moon goddess said before preparing to go up to rest. "I want to take a nap. You guys handle the rest~"

The Moon Goddess was completely uninterested with the uninvited visitor. The fact that they were unable to destroy her formation with Early Huashen Realm cultivation made her lose interest altogether. The cubs and the two ladies will be alright as long as they don't leave the formation. As for the one who was about to arrive from a distance, she is most likely Princess Qin's ancestor.

"We will not come out of the formation!" Su Gin'er declared.

After witnessing the strength of the defensive formation around this place, she is confident that no one from the outside can enter, much less destroy the barrier. She can watch the scene without worrying about her little weak self.

Yue Xuexia said, "Alright. Little princess, the one who summoned you with your flare is on her way. I had given permission to let her in if she wanted. I would kill her though if she dares to harm my cubs."

"Senior Yue, I assure you that my great-grandmother will not do such a thing." Princess Yaoyun said.

"Okay. You can handle the rest. Yawns~" Yue Xuexia disappeared somewhere towards the upper floor.

After the Moon Goddess had gone up to rest, the cubs had run out of the mansion like an excited flock of chickens running around happily. Princess Qin Yaoyun and Su Gin'er had no other choice but to chase after them and saw the once flying around the defensive formation that protects them.

The one in lead as expected is the Holy Witch, Suzi, beside her is Elder Susan who is still trying to stop her and a few more cultivators who had escaped from the toddlers before. They had returned with their boss looking like they had found a backer. However, it seems that this backer of theirs is lacking compared to the new owner of this land. Her ultimate attack was rendered useless by this defensive formation.

Elder Susan said to her junior sister from the same master, "Suzi, I had warned you before. The new owner of this place is mysterious and her strength is unknown. Look at this formation, this is clearly a Heavenly Grade one! Since it can block your attack as an early Huashen Realm Cultivator."

While ignoring her Shijie's words, Suzi, the holy witch, spotted Princess Qin Yaoyun as soon as she came out of the mansion.

"It's that bitch! I'm going to ki—"

The Holy Witch dove down and completely forgot about the barrier around the area. She bumped the barrier without control and was stuck into it for a while. Princess Qin saw this funny scene and couldn't help but laugh at the old lady.

"What the hell? Is she trying to do it just now?" The sentient snow lotus flower, Yue Huaxue said.

The sentient water lotus flower, Yue Huashui said, "It's an old lady. No wonder she is forgetful. Mom said this is an illness called dementia."

"My little ancestors, I beg you please don't talk anymore. That's the Holy Witch, one of the leaders of the Herb Valley," said Su Gin'er.

Because of the connection of her grandmother and the Holy witch, she had actually met her face to face multiple times. but she also knows that she hates her and likes her brother instead. It seems that she was hated because of her youth and almost flawless face.

The Holy Witch said, "You! Su Gin'er found a way to destroy this formation from the inside!"

"N-No… I don't want to!" Su Gin'er said to the holy witch.

She then looked at her grandmother and said, "Grandma, don't attack the formation anymore. Only a Late Huashen Realm cultivator can destroy it. Other than that, no matter what you use it would be useless."

It seems to allow them to communicate, Yue Xuexia deactivated the sound isolation effect of the barrier. Or else no matter how much those from the outside shout, the ones inside will never hear a single sound.

Everyone heard what Su Gin'er had said, that this is no different than telling others the weakness of the formation, with the strength of those who are outside of it had no capabilities of destroying it. That's why Su Gin'er voiced this information and why Princess Qin didn't stop her from saying this as well.

Elder Susan nodded at her granddaughter and said to his Shimei, "Shimei, listen to her. It's impossible for us to destroy the barrier even if we work together."

"No. If the pillars of the formation were thrashed from the inside it could be destroyed! Su Gin'er, find the pillars of the formation and destroy it!" The Holy Witch commanded.

However, Su Gin'er had no intention of doing so. She knew that if she truly plans on destroying the pillars of the formation from within, these toddlers who were looking at her with adorable round eyes would instantly become hostile towards her and her death will not be impossible. She sat down on the ground without any intention of listening to the Holy Witch's command.

"I'm not listening. I'm not hearing anything!" Su Gin'er chanted.

The Holy Witch said, "You! Su Gin'er!!?"

"Don't shout anymore. She can't do it. Those toddlers running around her are Nascent Soul Flower spirits. She is only at Innateness Realm can she even fight against them. Don't put my granddaughter in danger, Shimei!"

Elder Susan rarely lost her temper, but this time her Shimei tasked her descendant to do something dangerous in the presence of a Yuanying individual. It is no different than seeking death.

The Holy Witch knew that she had said too much which made her Shijie angry. Even though Elder Susan was only at the late Nascent Soul Realm, she can still defeat an early God Transformation realm like herself. Moreover, she is her only remaining family and had no wish to make enemies of her. But her hatred towards the Qin Clan is deeply buried in her heart and seeing Princess Qin looking at her expressionlessly, she felt even angrier.

"Little bitch! I don't think you can live there for a long time. I will go and bring your brother's head to your kingdom and make that old bitch come out and fight her!" The Holy Witch shouted.

All of the sudden, a voice strongly went against the Holy Witch's words and retorted, "There is no need for you to come to the Qin Kingdom. I will come over to kill you right now!"

The one who arrived is none other than an elegant mature woman in her thirties. Upon seeing this face the Holy Witch's eyes turn bloodshot as she immediately recognizes the woman.

"Qin Yao! I'm going to kill you! How dare you seduce my dao companion!" The holy witch, Suzi, shouted.
