Siblings with No Life Get Summoned to Another World as Detectives

Chapter 30: Jail Break & Loli

"One… two… three…" Kai whispered, carefully moving the small pebbles he had found on the cold stone floor of the cell.

Beside him sat his sister, Mei. She didn't move, only stared at the ceiling, tracing the cracks in the stone blocks, listening to her brother's counting.

It had already been seven days since they were locked inside that cold, damp cell. Seven days without sunlight or fresh air. In all that time, they had only been taken out once — for torture.

There was no food. Not even a crumb of bread, not a drop of water to moisten their cracked lips. With every passing hour, the thirst grew stronger, and the hunger more painful. Their stomachs rumbled, and their strength slowly drained away. Their bodies were weakening.

These were a brother and sister who, abandoned by the world and condemned to be forgotten, developed strange habits and skills — instincts that ordinary people could never understand. And it was precisely because of these abilities that they had been summoned into the world of Nytherra, a fantasy realm to find a diary, special diary.

For now, they were prisoners in the dungeons of the Elven capital. Shackled by cold iron bars, locked away in a room where no light could reach, accused of crimes they had not committed. They were innocent, but they had no way to prove it.

The guard kicked the bars, his anger echoing through the cold stone chamber.

"SHUT UP ALREADY! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOU COUNT THOSE DAMN ROCKS OVER AND OVER!" he shouted, then bent down and shook the cell door violently. "THERE ARE TEN! TEN!"

Kai didn't even lift his gaze from the pebbles. He counted each one slowly and methodically, as if that was the only thing keeping him sane in this madness. His voice was quiet, yet relentless: "One… two… three…"

The guard reached his hand toward him, his eyes blazing with fury, a thin spark of magic flickering from his palm, ready to shock Kai — or at least force him to stop. But the brother remained still, showing not a shred of fear. His eyes stayed fixed on the stones — each one had its place, its order, its meaning.

"SHOCK!"

THUD!

The guard flew backward, his body convulsing as electricity coursed through him, his eyes wide in shock and pain.

Kai finally lifted his head and saw — not only the paralyzed guard — but also a small, hooded figure cloaked in shadows.

"BARRIER!" the figure cried out, her voice soft and feminine.

The blue mist that had been wrapping around the cell like a heavy curtain split apart at the sweep of her hand. The metal door creaked open, the screech of iron echoing through the chamber as Kai and Mei were finally freed.

Kai instinctively crawled toward the doorway, his hands trembling from adrenaline, but his sister outpaced him — she leapt forward, rushing out of the cell before he could catch up.

"Freedom…" Kai whispered, lowering his face to the cold ground and briefly kissing the stone beneath him.

"We don't have time," said the hooded girl. From her pocket she pulled out a strange, glowing orb and crushed it in her hand. Then she pressed her palm to the wall, and a white portal formed. "Get in!"

Brother and sister exchanged a glance. Together, they stepped into the glowing rift, feeling the air stretch and twist around them as the prison world retreated and vanished behind them. The hooded girl followed, and the portal sealed shut.

They emerged on the other side—inside a cave that smelled of damp earth, lit only by a single lantern casting a pale glow. Drops of water dripped from the ceiling, creating a steady, almost silent rhythm that filled the stillness.

The moment they realized they were far from prison walls and guards, their attention instinctively shifted to the hooded figure. She stood in the corner of the cave, her hood pulled low over her face, the lantern's glow outlining her small frame.

She looked mysterious, shrouded in a black cloak, her hood concealing her features, the edges of her coat frayed and torn. She stood barefoot on the cold cave floor.

Kai and Mei couldn't hold back their emotions. Tears of relief and joy streamed down their faces as they sank to their knees before her. They lowered themselves to her feets, kissing them in a gesture of deep respect and gratitude for the life she had saved.

"Oh, thank you, fallen angel!" Kai exclaimed, his voice trembling with the intensity of his emotions.

"Thank you!" Mei added, her own tears glimmering in the dim lantern light.

The Hooded Girl let out a strange, short sound, as if she were surprised or awkwardly taken aback by their actions.

They looked up to see why she had made that sound, but all they saw were her panties beneath the coat.

Kai's mouth leaked out, and Mei reached out to take her panties off.

The Hooded Girl stepped back and pulled off her hood. "Stop!" she snapped sharply. "I-I haven't lived 1,256 years for some humans to see my… my p-private parts!"

Beneath the hood, a stunning woman was revealed. Her long white hair cascaded over her shoulders like moonlit waterfalls, shimmering in the dim glow of the lantern. Her eyes — large and deep — sparkled in a shade of pure, clear blue, the color of an endless sky.

But what shocked them the most wasn't her hair or her eyes — it was the long, elegantly pointed ears, clearly visible beneath the waves of her hair. It was an unmistakable sign — they were standing before an Elf.

"LOLI!" exclaimed Kai, then threw himself on top of her again and continued to kiss her feet. "My little queen!"

The Hooded Girl's cheeks flared up suddenly, bright as a tomato. Instinctively, almost in a panic, she raised both hands to cover her face, but it wasn't enough to hide the shame that had overtaken her entire body.

"W-what are you doing, pervert?!" she exclaimed in a raised, trembling voice.

Without a moment's thought, her reflex kicked in — her right leg shot out faster than Kai could blink. WHAM! A direct hit to the face.

Sister saw her chance, quickly slipped off one black loafer, and then rested her foot on her brother's face. Her foot, wrapped in a long white sock, was already damp with sweat, trapped in the stifling heat that had built up inside the tight loafer for hours. The moist fabric pressed against Kai's face.

"What, you won't kiss it?" Mei teased, her voice a mix of softness and challenge. She leaned back, savoring her own words, while her fingers fidgeted restlessly on his face. They curled slowly, one by one, then relaxed again.

"And I can see your panties too," Kai mumbled, under her foot.

Her face flared up instantly. She blushed from her ears down to her neck, jumped back, and desperately tried to hide her panties, pulling her skirt behind her as if she could erase the whole scene. "Y-you pervert!" she shouted, eyes full of anger and shame, her voice more like a whimper.

Kai lay on the floor, unable to move, while both girls above him turned red as tomatoes. He took a deep breath, then decided to introduce himself. "I'm Kai... Kai Kagami."

The Hooded Girl measured him for a moment, as if deciding whether he even deserved that small gesture of trust. After a brief hesitation, she lowered her hand onto his and gently held it, her grip soft and uncertain. "Silfy… just Silfy" she whispered, quickly turning her gaze aside.

Kai wanted to continue, but Mei's loud "Hmpf!" interrupted him — childish, offended, and perfectly in tune with her flushed face. She shook her head, refusing to introduce herself, her hands still clenching her skirt tightly.

Silfy looked at her, confused, raising her eyebrows as if she didn't understand all the drama. Kai, aware that staying silent wouldn't save anyone, took the initiative. "This is my sister, Mei Kagami…" he said calmly.

"Nice name…" Silfy murmured quietly, her voice almost unsure, as if trying to find a way to Mei, even though she didn't even realize how she had already ended up on her bad side.

"Thanks…" Mei mumbled, still refusing to look at her. Her eyes stubbornly stayed fixed on the stone floor.

A brief silence hung between them. Silfy lowered her hand along her body and barely audibly asked, "Did I… do something wrong…?" Her voice was a mix of uncertainty and confusion.

Mei suddenly lifted her head. "From now on, we are rivals!" she shouted, stepping abruptly toward her brother and wrapping her arm around his neck. "This is my brother! MY BROTHER!"

For Kai, all of this was already normal, but Silfy stared stiffly at the two of them. Her eyes darted from Mei to him, her expression the perfect picture of bewilderment.

Kai sighed, nodded, and quietly commented, "Better if you don't know…"
