Chapter 909: Call the Police and Arrest Them All
Hope Williams furrowed her brows slightly; without concrete evidence, everything was just speculation.
Now that Zoey Sanders was still in the emergency room, it seemed that her kidnapping might also be connected to Emma Winton and her group. Since there was nothing to be found on the perpetrators, they could only start investigating from Zoey's kidnapping.
Hope sighed lightly, hoping Zoey would safely come out of the emergency room.
...
Zoey Sanders came out of the emergency room the next day. She had sustained severe head injuries and was still in a coma.
Father Sanders and Matriarch Sanders had rushed from City A early in the morning. Upon seeing their daughter on the hospital bed, her head wrapped in thick bandages, bruised and barely breathing, Matriarch Sanders, Lucy Parker, immediately blacked out and collapsed.
"Mom?" Joseph Sanders caught Lucy Parker in time, "Mom!"
Adrian Sanders frowned and hurriedly said, "Quick, help your mom over to rest."
Lucy Parker clutched her chest, crying uncontrollably, "How did this happen? How could it turn out like this? Tell me, how did your sister end up like this? Who did this to her?"
Joseph Sanders was equally devastated, "Mom, I'm sorry, it's my fault for not protecting Zoey."
Lucy Parker's hand kept hitting Joseph Sanders, "Is this how you protect your sister? How are you being a brother..."
Understanding Lucy Parker's current emotional state, Joseph hung his head, silently enduring his mother's blows.
Last night, the police were also there; he found out from them that Zoey Sanders' first call before dialing the police was to him, but in his rush to call Liam Cloud, he hung up without a thought.
If he hadn't hung up that call, perhaps the traffickers wouldn't have discovered Zoey Sanders was secretly calling. They might have found her earlier, and she wouldn't be so severely injured now.
It was all his fault; if he had answered that call, it wouldn't have turned out like this.
Joseph was filled with guilt.
Adrian Sanders couldn't stand it anymore and came over to stop Lucy Parker, "You need to calm down. Blaming the child now won't help anything. What's most important is to find the real culprit behind Zoey's kidnapping."
Joseph also lifted his head, "Mom, let me find the attacker who hurt my sister first, then you can scold or hit me all you want."
Lucy Parker, still emotional, cried uncontrollably, "My daughter, my daughter, who on earth would want to harm my daughter? She's so kind, never enemies with anyone. Who would want to hurt her..."
When Hope Williams and Waylon Lewis walked into Zoey Sanders' hospital room, they saw Zoey still unconscious, Lucy Parker very emotional, Adrian Sanders helplessly comforting, and Joseph Sanders full of regret.
The atmosphere in the ward was heavy and oppressive.
Hope looked back at Waylon with a shared look of bitterness in their eyes.
Neither Hope nor Waylon had rested last night; they went to the nightclub overnight and just got back.
Hope's questioning of Chloe Woods last night reminded him; the direction Zoey Sanders went only led to the restroom and storage.
After entering that area, Zoey Sanders didn't come out again. People cannot just vanish into thin air. The only possibility was that she encountered the culprit in that area.
The restroom couldn't hide anyone, but the storage space could.
So Hope and Waylon went to that storage room.
The blood in the storage had been cleaned, and yesterday, in their rush to find her, they hadn't noticed anything unusual.
But even after cleaning, there were traces left behind. They found a drop of blood on the wall and did a DNA comparison, confirming it was Zoey Sanders'.
Meaning, Zoey was knocked out in that storage room and then taken out by someone.
And in the area with only the restroom and storage, they calculated everyone's ingress and egress times, finding the only anomaly was Emma Winton and Chloe Woods, who stayed in that area for over forty minutes, making them the most probable to have had the time to commit the crime.
Hope and his team re-checked the surveillance.
Around 9:30 PM, a surveillance closest to that area recorded Zoey Sanders' voice calling out, "Bro!"
And then she disappeared.
Clearly, at that moment, she might have encountered danger, saw Joseph, and wanted to call out for help. But amidst the loud horse hoof noises at the racetrack, Joseph didn't hear her.
So it could be concluded that the kidnappers were Emma Winton and Chloe Woods.
However, these findings weren't enough to serve as evidence.
Hope still had a point of confusion.
Logically speaking, Zoey had no animosity with them. Even if they wanted to vent over the competition, the kidnapping target should have been Aria Richardson, not Zoey.
But why did they end up kidnapping and hurting Zoey?
Hope speculated something might have happened in the restroom, a quarrel, or Zoey overheard some plotting between them. In a hurry to inform the others, Zoey tried to escape, but Emma and her group realized Zoey knew and captured her again to prevent her from spilling the beans, kidnapping her and selling her off to an untraceable location.
But what were they plotting?
Probably something related to Wyatt Lewis and Aria Richardson, something bad that they feared Zoey might expose, which would not only ruin their plans but also tarnish their reputations and harm the relations between the two families; hence they went all out to silence Zoey.
And this matter should be related to the car accident.
Hope linked the kidnapping and car accident, making the whole thing make sense.
Hope relayed his analysis to the Sanders Family comprehensively.
Lucy Parker suddenly stood up, rushing forward to grab Hope's arm, "You mean you've found the culprits, right? Have you found them? Call the police, arrest them, arrest them all immediately, Joseph, go now..."
