Chapter 671: Unbearable Complexity
Qiu Bai and Yang Wenyin's expressions changed drastically, glaring at her.
"What do you mean by that?"
"My meaning is that the General Union Dance Troupe isn't necessary anymore."
"That's impossible!"
"Well... right now it might be impossible, but once you're gone, who knows?" Su Yun felt much more relieved after throwing down the gauntlet; she finally got to vent. She went out, took the fruits and nutritional supplements that her assistant held, and cheerfully went to visit Hai Lan in the infirmary.
As soon as Su Yun left, Qiu Bai immediately asked anxiously, "Is what she said true?"
Yang Wenying did not speak for a long while, her face as gloomy as could be, seemingly dripping water. Finally, she collapsed into a chair, massaging her throbbing temples with both hands.
She had been too careless – how had she overlooked Su Yun? Everything had developed up to this point, and it was too late for regret, but...
"Is what Su Yun said true?" Qiu Bai interrupted Yang Wenyin's thoughts with her urgent question.
She looked up, her eyes bloodshot. "Su Yun is very self-centered and has always thought only of herself. Maybe in the matter of her daughter, she told the biggest lie ever, so her words in other aspects might still be somewhat credible."
What she said before she left was definitely what she intended to do.
"Damn it!" Qiu Bai, who usually had a good temper, slammed his palm on the table, "I thought my darkest days were in the U.S.; I never expected things to be this complicated after returning home."
An artist is the least able to tolerate all sorts of underhanded schemes, as it consumes their energy and spirit. Over time, it will affect their creative passion and leave them with an inescapable sense of fatigue.
Now, Qiu Bai was already clearly feeling this fatigue.

Su Yun's visit to the General Union was quite an event; she was not only the director of the Qianjin Dance Troupe but also the wife of the President and the sister of a director. Her backing from these three connections alone made her the center of attention wherever she went.
Her background was genuinely solid, something Hai Lan could not compare with.
As soon as she arrived, even Shen Feihu was alerted, and even though they came from the same compound and he generally preferred not to interact with her, Shen Feihu would have had to come forward.
Having come to a complete understanding of Su Yun's thoughtless behavior, Shen Feihu found it almost laughable that she had come to visit Hai Lan.
"President, do you want to come forward to receive her?"
"No need; it's a personal matter, just get a few people to take care of it."
"Yes!"
After Xiao Tao left, Shen Feihu picked up the telephone on his desk, pondering whether to call Meng Xingzhi, Su Hai, or Su Jiang. His sister-in-law was messing things up; wasn't there anyone to check her?
Well, never mind. She was already here; it was too late to do anything about it. Better to just sit back and enjoy the show.
Thus, Shen Feihu decisively put down the phone.

Even though Shen Feihu didn't make the call, Su Hai, working in the city committee office, had already received the news. He had been managing the General Union for quite some time, and although he was transferred elsewhere, he still had many loyal subordinates there.
No sooner had Su Yun left Yang Wenyin's office than a call came to his office.
"Hello, this is Su Hai."
"Hello, Director Su."
"It's Xiao Xu! What's the matter?" Su Hai, recognizing the caller, spoke concisely.
"Did you hear about the recent actions of the Hai family?" the other party asked tentatively.
Su Hai nodded, then realized he was on a call and nodding couldn't be seen, so he said, "I'm aware. Why has this matter fallen on our heads again?" He had been quite annoyed lately, feeling like everything somehow got blamed on the Su Family.
