Chapter 107: Glynn's Gift
After bidding farewell to Alexandra Levison, Shun and the others made their way to the front gate through which they had entered. They needed to return to Haven as quickly as possible, each of them hoping that the car they had parked outside the city remained untouched.
To their dismay, upon reaching the designated spot, they found not their car but a message crudely carved into the ground.
"Thanks for your present…" Joe Moran read the message out loud and exclaimed. "Damn those bastards!"
Adjacent to the message was a poorly drawn portrait of June, deliberately exaggerated in handsomeness due to the artist's identity. Otto sighed and shook his head in resignation. "Now, how do we get back?"
"Walking seems to be our only option," Olivia replied, her voice laced with despair.
Shun clenched his fists. The ethereal arms he had harvested contained various movement types that could enable long distance travel. However, not only did he not want to reveal that he was the true possessor of the Harvester, he also couldn't share these ethereal abilities with others.
"Only if I could use the fourth complete ethereal arm, World Walker…" Shun thought quietly, lamenting that he had yet to discover how to reactivate its power.
"Shun, can you materialize a wing with your ethereal arm?" Emilia suggested hopefully.
"Yes, but it would only be effective for myself. I doubt I could carry any of you," Shun replied flatly.
Emilia didn't respond. Instead, she turned to Kris. "Kris, can your wings travel long distances?"
Kris shook his head awkwardly. "My wing is a debuff type ethereal arm after all; its only use is unleashing the light that ignores all armor. I suppose I could float, but definitely not fly."
Emilia nodded, lost in thought. Unfortunately, no solution for transporting everyone back collectively presented itself.
"If only we had a plane," she stated dismissively, resigning herself to the idea of walking back.
"Nah, we aren't influential enough for the King to send a plane for us," Joe said, looking defeated. "He probably has no idea what's happening on our side right now."
Shun sighed and looked skyward, imagining a plane appearing out of nowhere to whisk them away. He had always possessed a remarkable ability to visualize his imagination as reality, a skill honed from his childhood experiences, and he hadn't lost that talent.
"Are you guys seeing what I'm seeing?" Olivia asked, incredulous as she gazed up at the sky.
"It appears we're all sharing the same dream," Shun replied, momentarily taken aback that someone else could share his peculiar ability.
"I don't think this is imagination," Silver said thoughtfully, her voice brightening the atmosphere. "That's a plane—a real plane."
"Our prayers have been answered!" Kris exclaimed, barely able to contain his excitement.
"Don't get too carried away; we don't know whether that plane is for us yet," Otto cautioned, though his tone was lighter than usual.
"Maybe we're more popular than we think," Joe chimed in confidently.
Soon, they broke into a quiet celebration, though Otto, Shun, and Silver remained calm. Before long, the plane landed before them. Compared to a typical aircraft, this one was noticeably smaller.
The door opened to reveal the occupants inside.
"Shun! Glad to see you alive and well," Elysia greeted with a bright smile as the door slid open. Beside her, Kael Franklin stood stoically, his expression was cold, old, and bold—a stark contrast to Elysia's warm demeanour. Shun sighed, this time in relief; seeing two familiar faces was more comforting than he had anticipated.
"Did the King send you?" Silver asked, confusion evident in her tone.
"It wasn't exactly Old Alfred's command, but it's what he wanted," Elysia replied, her cheerfulness seemingly renewed. In the midst of impending disaster, her smile was more reassuring than ever. "Glynn Belkarn sent us here. He has a gift for you, Shun."
Kael interjected flatly, "Elysia, you make it sound as if Glynn is our superior."
Elysia shot him a resigned glance, suppressing the urge to argue. She then turned back to Shun, pulling out a dark orb from behind her. The orb exuded a menacing aura, and while Shun felt an inexplicable connection to it, the others, including Elysia herself, were struck with a sense of danger and suffocation, including Elysia herself.
"The 0th complete ethereal arm, Distributor," Elysia announced proudly. "Unlike Antonio's fake copy, this is the genuine article, that used to be owned by your grandfather, Sirius Xshasi."
Shun stared at it in disbelief, a sense of authenticity in Elysia's words washing over him. The orb resonated with a familiar energy, soothing him and filling him with hope.
He reached out, taking the orb from Elysia's hand. Uncontrollably, the Harvester materialized in his other hand, glowing more fiercely than ever before. A powerful wave of energy surged from Shun's body, prompting Olivia to quickly activate her ethereal arm, forming a protective barrier around them.

Shun couldn't yet comprehend the weight of those words, but they were familiar, extremely familiar, hauntingly familiar.
Before he could dig deeper, the orb slipped from his grasp, soaring toward the Harvester. With a brilliant flash of light, it embedded itself into the sword's hilt. Another screen appeared in Shun's mind, one that seemed more like a memory than an image.
