Shadows of the Deep Space

Chapter 435: Chaos (Five-in-One) 4

...

The soldiers replied in low voices.

"What did you say?"

Eta felt darkness clouding his vision upon hearing the words, almost losing his footing.

In just a short span of ten hours, they actually lost three main battleships and so many officers perished.

"Sir, are you alright!"

A nearby officer quickly supported Eta.

Eta shook off his subordinate's support and shouted with eyes wide open.

"Full-speed pursuit!"

"Yes!"

The numerous subordinates responded quickly.

...

Not long after, when Eta led his troops to the giant planet.

The entire starry sky was filled with wreckage, the Landon, Water Light, and Gaze were floating in ruins.

Eta saw this scene and roared in anger.

"Mia, I'll never make peace with you!"

"Sir, calm down! The priority now is rescue; there should be survivors on board."

The subordinates all advised fervently.

"Start the rescue immediately!"

Eta said, panting.

"Yes!"

Everyone replied promptly.

One mecha after another rushed to the three damaged ships for search and rescue, but just when the operation was proceeding in an orderly manner halfway through.

Rumble~

The three ships suddenly erupted in internal chain explosions!

"Ah!"

Screams echoed within the public communication channel.

Eta saw this, and furiously punched the armrest, his eyes bloodshot as he yelled.

"Bastards!"

...

On the other side, the Sunshine, Norton Fortress flew towards the Federation's defense line.

Norton Fortress·Cargo Zone.

Crates of raw soil were stacked neatly together.

Mia looked at this raw soil containing Eternal Metal, unable to keep her mouth from grinning.

"Haha, this time we've really struck it rich!"

"Indeed, it's a fortune, but it's uncertain how much metal is in this soil."

Su Ming looked at the refined raw soil and said.

"I know the content, it was my team who surveyed this mine."

Mia said to Su Ming.

"So how many tons of Eternal Metal can approximately be extracted from these?"

Su Ming eagerly looked at Mia and asked.

"Let me calculate, there are 7212 sealed crates in total, based on our initial survey on content, at least ten tons of Eternal Metal can be refined. This is a real windfall, haha!"

Mia raised her wristband to calculate, and upon seeing the result, she beamed with joy.

"Not bad!"

Su Ming nodded satisfied hearing Mia's calculation result.

"And that's not counting other materials in the warehouse, I'm really rich. Let's pop a champagne to celebrate the success of this operation!"

Mia excitedly said to Su Ming.

"No, please don't! We haven't left the Abyss of Descent to return to headquarters, anything can happen, better not open the champagne halfway, lest we face an unforeseen mess."

Su Ming's face stiffened hearing Mia, then he spoke.

"It won't happen!"

"Better to be safe."

"Alright then."

Mia agreed seeing Su Ming's seriousness.

"Well, let's leave the tally here to Rhein and others, we should go to the command room, make sure the enemy hasn't caught up without us knowing."

Su Ming said to Mia.

"Okay!"

Mia replied with a chuckle.

Quickly, Su Ming and others arrived at the control room of Norton Fortress.

"Celeste, what's the situation? Has the enemy caught up?"

"Rest assured, they haven't caught up."

Celeste, floating on the control platform, replied while busy with operations.

Su Ming noticed Celeste was busy with something, so he walked over to take a look.

He saw Celeste was generating virtual images and audio of Commander Misar and Archbishop Deshier, encrypting and sending them to various units of the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country.

Su Ming was surprised seeing this and asked.

"Celeste, what are you doing?"

"Just bored, adding some fun for them!"

Celeste giggled and said.

"You're really something, but don't overdo it."

Su Ming said with a helpless smile.

"No worries, my skills are top-notch."

Celeste replied with a light-hearted smile.

"Alright!"

Su Ming nodded in response.

...

Apocalypse Divine Country·Abyss of Descent Defense Headquarters.

In the battle conference room of Light Star Shield Fortress, Commander Misar furiously yelled at the many officers.

"What the hell, why is the layout on my left side all messed up, who can explain why the frontline troops are being shuffled around?"

All the generals present looked at the combat visuals, glancing at each other.

In the defense map of the Abyss of Descent, nearly half of the troops were a chaotic mess, some areas were left unguarded while some edge regions inexplicably amassed over a dozen units.

"We're not quite sure either!"

A senior general in a vice admiral's uniform, with wrinkles on his face, replied bitterly.

"Not sure? Then hurry and find out!"

Misar roared in rage.

"Commander, the communications seem to have issues, lots of messages aren't getting through."

"If there's a problem, then solve it, send someone to deliver the messages! Why are you all standing around? What was supposed to be a comprehensive harassment suppression battle, has become a pile of crap now!"

"Yes, yes...."

The generals present hurriedly left the combat room in fear.

Shortly after, only Commander Misar and Adjutant Helena remained in the combat room.

Helena softly advised Commander Misar.

"Commander, don't get angry, it's bad for your health."

"I initially didn't want to fight the Federation, and now it's turned out like this."

Commander Misar said wearily, rubbing his forehead.

At this moment, an Order Officer rushed in.

"Commander, emergency military intelligence!"
