----------

Ashana, Crater Coast Collective.

-----

The back door of a small pub...

The middle of the night...

Two men meet to make a deal...

Jekt Lueo: A Guardsman for the Borough of Ashana.

Skylar Vess: A Rogue for the seedy Thieves Guild.

-----

Guardsman Jekt.

He was not in the mood today

 He was late

 His cart was delayed.

They should have just met at the gate...

The wagers he'd placed.

The bribes that he'd made...

Never learned that his crimes wouldn't pay.

He had to think deep of what was at steak

Before he went through with a prison break.

He was not some fool

 He knew to keep cool

 He wasn't a tool

 His own path he'd make...

He wore a Sera piece...

 No freaky low Gyr speak...

A silver ring seared into his cheek...

 All wings, no beak,

 No risk he would take.

He didn't need a Hitman.

As close as this psycho could get, man.

For him, It was either success or a pit, damn...

Doing underhanded shit.

He had to swing big

 Or risk being hit.

He'd take all the chances here he could get...

Not worth sitting still

Not worth eating shit...

 He'd gather his gold coins

 And put out a hit...

He could go man for man...

Fack that

He could go blade for blade!

Hiding the cards in his hand.

Kill them all, never stall, get paid...

He had the gold

 And the pull

 All the needed

Resources to keep all the Rogues here at bay.

He started to see

 All the walls closing in

He had gold in the vault

 That he still couldn't spend...

-----

Skylar the Rogue.

Skylar saw what they'd do for a ring

What till you see what they'd do for a neckless...

Silver, gold, or platinum

 It did not matter

Shit, all of his goons would get reckless...

The thieves had been contemplating

This mass-escaping

 The had to move lightly

They had not a nibble for breakfast...

The Rogues had no time

The sun would be up shortly

They had to move swiftly if they would make distance...

Their leader had one chance

To change their circumstance

They all gambled on him to make some real difference...

They just needed seconds

A moment of vulnerability

They didn't even need weapons...

As soon as the cages opened

They would overpower any man

There was nothing left to question...

It was all a part of the insurrection

Every criminal plotted out their living sections

When the riot starts

So many moving parts

There would be no more time for deflections...

Their leader had told them that there would be men,

They had gathered all that they could

They were sure they could win.

A few Master Swordsmen could do them all in

The Guardsmen wouldn't expect the convicts to have 10...

Couldn't go blade for blade...

Fack that

He could go hand to hand!

Lay they low, make a quick escape.

Reconstruct his dissembled band...

He had the cutthroats

 The muscle

 The politics

He could put eyes where he needed them most.

He was starting to see

 His plan starting to work

He had shifted a mountain

 While just moving dirt...
