"This time I woke up and went to her room to talk to her over what we discussed yesterday," Reed nodded in approval as he listened, "and she wasn't there?" Reed guessed

"Gone" He said with a bit of frustration "I didn't put up any wards because you know my views on Hunters employing those demons to put wards on their houses, especially now that they are the main suspects in recent crimes"

The way he said 'Demons' made Reed wince, Hale was like the old fashioned Hunters that believed they were somehow different from Warlocks and witches even though both of them had half demonic blood, they believed the angel blood had neutralized the demon blood which made them fine but for warlocks and witches they simply refused to agree human blood was enough to push down demonic urges.

In a way they were right, Warlocks/witches often made up the most percentage of supernatural crimes, some had direct contact with their Patron demon whose blood flowed through them, according to what Reed had learned from Raven he knew this wasn't a forceful agreement, the one with the bloodline had to seek out the Patron demons will and then an exchange would occur, more power in exchange for their freedom.

"Reed….Reed can you hear me?" Hale interrupted his thoughts.

"Sorry was thinking," he apologized "so you refused to pay a Warlock to put up wards in your house which gave her the freedom to leave every night and now your daughter is missing?" He asked.

"A very distorted way to connect those statements" Hale grumbled "but yes, she had gone to a club with some of her friends last night and now all five of them are missing."

Reed sighed as he poured the boiling water into the cup then put the powder in "And let me guess you want me to find her?"

"I know it's not your official mission and I don't have the power to command a 4th order Shadowhunter but please..." He begged "Please find her, I'm here tackling some annoying apostles who wants to butt into the investigation, and this is going to take a while"

"Alright old man. For old time's sake I'll find her, send me everything you know" He said taking a sip.

"Thank you, Reed."

He ended the call.

"I'll assume you took the call here because you were so thoughtful of my sleep and didn't want to wake me up" A beautiful upset voice said
