Shadow Slave FanFic [Missing Piece]

As Sunny commanded it Fiend broke through the outer Shell of the Corrupted Titan Holding a weird looking half molten Chunk of Magma in his Claws. Beating with furious intent everyone knew that this was the Heart of the Abomination.

It looked so frail and easy to break in the hands of a Supreme being just as Fiend is and seconds later the loyal Shadow swallowed the Heart that was still beating whole.

The Body Of the Corrupted Titan fell to the ground unmoving as it was slowly healed from Corruption.

With the Soul Shards he carried in a makeshift bag out of Shadows, he looked like a Parent coming from the Grocery store to provide for his Family as he leisurely walked up to the Group of Saints.

As soon as he arrived Saint Manifested from sunnys Shadow and looked at Fiend indifferently. At least that's how it looked like for everyone else. But he knew how to interpret what dwelled deep in her Ruby Red eyes.

It was Pride.

With a single hit on the Rim of her Shield she gave him a nod and vanished along with him back into sunny's Shadow.

The Soul Shards lay openly in front of them brimming with essence. Sunny grabbed one of them and weighed it in his hands before tossing it over to Jet.

"I have no use for those. Do what you want with them."

He said evenly.

"What? You…you will let the Government have those? But…you killed the Titan, not us!"

He chuckled while turning to the still frozen Great Terror with a smile that was full of excitement.

"I get that but I will take the Shards from this guy over there. For my purposes the Quality of the shard is way more important than the Quantity of them. I just need the Shards from the Great Terror, that's it."

Without wasting another second he summoned a Spear from the Shadows and took a couple steps to the side. He could feel something from the Great Terror. A feeling he knew all too well and has saved him from certain death multiple times in his life. It was intoxicating to him.

It was Fear.

An Abomination powerful enough to destroy the entirety of the world if not stopped by a greater force was trembling with fear at the sight of a single man Clad in Onyx Armor that was about to end its life in a Humiliating way.

Without the ability to defend Itself it could only watch as the small speck of Shadows shot towards its core and ripped its body apart as the ice shattered with a deafening sound. The grave made out of Stone, that was only fit to hold the corpse of a King, shattered and exploded Leaving blood flowing from the hole in an amount that couldn't be explained.

The now Frozen lake Sunny had created beforehand by dropping Billions of Liters on the Great Terror flowed over it, covering it completely.

The Spell once more ignored his broken existence. No announcement of a Kill or that his Shadow grew stronger rang in his ears which left him frustrated.

'The Spell Is abandoning me further and further. I need to kill that Bastard as soon as possible.'

It was an unholy sight. In the span of no more than an Hour 4 Gate Guardians fell to the hands of 4 People who had no business fighting those Creatures in the first place. Only because one of them had the tools, mind and Strength to make it all possible.

He laughed again. His madness erupted like a Volcano in an Instant. The sight before him was like a Dream coming true. All he could ever think about would be how magnificent this sight was and how he would live to see Paintings of blood equal to this for the rest of his life.

He summoned Saint and Fiend to retrieve the Soul Shards from The Dead Terror and send them off.

Stretching his limbs he looked at his friends with a smile and noticed their stares. They were rattled and in disbelief.

Jet has fallen to her knees while Effie didn't bother holding up the Facade of Composure and lay flat on the ground. Kai was holding up much better at least in the physical department. Granted, he had arguably the easiest fight out of all of them but his mental state was no less worse than the others.

"You 3 look like you have seen a ghost. Is everything alright?"

He asked with a calm and easy voice. The question was so innocent and full of care. Completely the opposite of his demeanor just a couple minutes before when he was holding a speech of how much he hated Nightmare Creatures and explained in detail how he would make them suffer just the same as they had made him suffer.

"I…I…no…it…it's just that…"

Kai tried to form a reply but his words got stuck in his throat. Unable to express himself he just sighed in defeat and sat Down on the dead corpse of the Corrupted Titan.

The sight in front of him was unbelievable. The Incandescent Spawn of Satan was slowly losing its shine as the Magma flowed to the sides without a force to hold it together. In the next couple of Minutes nothing but a big pile of Volcanic Rock would be left of the Dead Titan.

The other Abomination looked no better. The Airborne Great Tyrant towered over the wasteland Completely lost from life with its head separated next to it.

And to top it all of the Great Terror's terrible will had been reduced to a whimsical begging for It's life before it ended just like Sunny had said it would.

Kai couldn't help but feel that if they had not been here Sunny would have been fine without them. Not that they weren't of help in this dire battle to defend millions of life's but that he alone could have done it if necessary.

"I don't know how that is even possible, Sunny."

His voice only a whisper that was barely audible over the wind. His eyes Focused on Sunny who was only smiling at this whole situation. Like he had not just fought a Battle that would go down in History and studied by people around the world.

And to top it all of this Bastard was still acting like what he just did was nothing special. Like he had taken a walk through the park. But Kai knew that behind that mask of Indifference in the face of such horrors a broken man stood and he was not ready to see what would happen If the Mask fully broke.

Today they had witnessed it creeping out of Sunny as he showed them the Madness that dwelled Inside of him ready to break free if left untamed.

'That reminds Me of something. But I can't figure out what it is, or who it is.'

"I would say with a lot of wickedness and adaptability. I come from the outskirts after all."

His explanation was logical, yes. But Jet could only laugh at it as she might have understood what he meant but still had a different opinion to the Subject.

"No sunny, I'm from the outskirts too and all those years I have never seen something like this. Not even close. You didn't just kill those Abominations. You slaughtered them. That's a difference I think you forgot how to make."

Before he could argue she continued.

"Don't get me wrong. What you did here today was not wrong in any way. You saved millions Of life's and I would bet my ass on the fact that Humanity Is thankful to have such an outstanding Warrior on their side. We are just worried about you."

Sunny frowned, his mind was broken, yes, but he didn't see anything deeply wrong with himself. It just needed time to heal.

"I don't know what the problem is. I save all those people and all I get is a speech complaining about how I did it? Should I have left them and more importantly YOU all to die here? Is that what you're saying?"

"No sunny that's not…"

Kai tried to argue but got cut Off by Sunny giving him a murderous Stare and growl that shut him up.

"THEN WHAT IS IT? WHAT IS IT WITH YOU PEOPLE CREATING A PROBLEM WHEN THERE IS NONE."

He screamed at him. Jet and Effie prepared for the worst to happen so they observed him Closely. But instead of lashing out Sunny fell to his knees. His eyes began to water up and soon the dry sand below him got darker as tears fell down on it.

"I'm trying to be good, ok? I know I'm broken and I know that I need help but you can't help me. NONE OF YOU CAN."

His breakdown sent shivers down their spine. Suddenly the Thought Kai had been trying to pry from the Depths of his mind became clear as he mumbled under his Breath.

"The Mad Prince."

As Sunny heard that name his mind went into a Spiral and a Piercing Pain assaulted his body. Once again he felt like a Hot Rod was being driven through His head as he collapsed to the ground while screaming on top of his lungs.

They had witnessed this type of breakdown before and knew that if nothing happened sooner rather than later he would start to tear himself apart again in an effort to ease the Pain.

Without saying a single word they all got together to hold him tight.

Effie and Kai each grabbed one of his Arms while Jet grabbed his Legs with all their might they held him hoping that he would not resist them too much but their hopes were for naught as he fought against the Pain while caring not one bit for his environment.

Nephis and Rain who were still shocked by what they had seen unfold on the TV looked at the sleeping form of Sunny and noticed him moving subtly. Suddenly an ear Piercing scream erupted from his mouth. Rain took a step towards him but got pushed to safety by Nephis as one of his arms lunged to the side threatening to tear apart everything in its path.

It hit Nephis instead and made her groan under the immense strength he possessed.

"GO RAIN, GET OUT OF HERE."

Rain wanted to protest but soon realized that there was nothing she could do. Nephis didn't just send her away because she was of no use in the situation, but because she feared Sunny would hurt her by accident. Last time she had not been there to help but this time she would do everything to keep him safe.

With Rain out of the way she didn't need to worry about her getting hurt so she made herself ready to take whatever he would throw at her while he tried to tear himself apart.

'Cassie! What happened on the Battlefield?'

The Blind seer was quick to react since she had been observing the whole Situation with utmost caution.

[They had an argument about Sunny's way of doing things and when Kai mentioned the Mad Prince he broke down. It's the same as a couple of days Ago. No actually I think it's worse.]

She too was panicked. In an effort to keep him safe Nephis grabbed him and held him tight. She didn't Know what to do exactly, but she knew that her own strength would not hold up for long if his condition didn't change fast.

Desperate to help she used her Aspect to heal the wounds He had already inflicted upon himself but just from that he didn't stop so she did the only thing she thought might help and pressed her lips against his.

With tears flowing down her face she held that kiss and watched him calm down gradually as she did. The tension In his body faded away and his Breathing calmed down gradually.

His Heartbeat too slowed down as his eyes shot wide open. He seemed like he had woken up from a Nightmare but in reality he just lived through one.

When their lips parted Sunny took a deep breath and fell back down to the Couch. Looking left and right for something to help him keep calm he found nothing but Nephis. And that was all he would ever need so he grabbed her and took her into a deep hug.

She knew all he needed right now was her presence so she kept quiet and just held him in her arms while her shoulder got more wet as tears flowed down his face.

She Could feel his pain and Sorrow dwelling deep inside of him and the Madness that fed on it.

Previously to this accident she thought that their world was at ease but now she understood that nothing could ever be fine if his condition is not healed.

'Whatever it is, we will make it through this together.'

For now though she had no other job than to help him ease his mind and no other thing did She loved to do more.
