The day after Cassie had met Ragna, he suddenly got a message on his communicator. It wasn't a random messenger or one of his friends. It was Valor headquarters themselves.

'How did they even get my ID ? Great Clans have their power everywhere, huh ?'

The message consisted of a request for a meeting and potential recruitment. They asked him to meet up in the Awakened Academy because one of their Saints would wait there and discuss the terms with him.

'They are sending a Saint out for me ? -maybe so he or she can send me to Bastion, if I accept. I should probably get going then.'

Since Ragna Effie was sleeping right now, he just left a note on the table, saying that he would be gone for a while, and left.

'At least I have money now to buy a taxi, which I got by doing chores for Effie - or rather buying beer for her so she didn't need to leave the house ... Well, the pay was nice tho, so I don't care.'

The next hour went by pretty boringly. He had only called a taxi driver and told him to drive him directly in front of the Academy Gates. While waiting in the backseats, his mind was filled with random thoughts.

"I'm kinda thirsty. I didn't drink anything in a while. Hmm, how will i get blood now ? I can't just ask some random person.

I've never thought about it but can I get a HIV disease by this ? Surely not, right ? Especially because of my awakened body.

Since I already thinking about blood, maybe I should learn more. Could be helpful in the future. Let's just look it up then.

Hmm, so there are 8 types of blood. A, B, O and Ab, each also having a + or -. Having a rare blood type makes it harder for a person to receive a blood transfusion.

What blood type you have is genetic and can be different from their parents. It depends on what genes they inherit. Maybe I should later look into this in a library or something.

After they had arrived, Ragna gave the driver some money and exited the car.

'Came back here sooner than I expected. Sooo, where do I find that person now ? Or will they find me ?'

When Ragna passed the academy gates, he suddenly felt slight pressure weighting down on him. The pressure didn't consist of any ill intend tho, meaning that it either was a pressure that the person released automatically or that the person just wanted to make himself known to him.

As quickly as he felt the pressure, he also heard a voice from a man. 

"Good day, Awakened Ragna. I am Saint Madoc. I personally found interest in you, also the reason why I am here."

Ragna gulped, since meeting a Saint was already rare but then it was Saint Madoc. Valor had a high presence in movies and the media and Saint Madoc was naturally also a name he hadn't heard for the first time. Madoc was the brother of Anvil himself after all. The tall man with black hair and sharp features was definitely one of humanities strongest warriors.

"Hello, Mr. Madoc. I didn't expect to meet someone of such high status here. I'm honored to have gained the interest of someone like you."

Saint madoc gave a slight nod, but there was also a slight smirk on his face.

"Don't mistake interest for trust. So, Awakened Ragna. I think there's a lot to discuss. Should we go to bastion right now ? You must know that as a Saint it allows me to move someone with me into the Dream Realm."

Even tho Ragna trusted Madoc right now, since there was no malice in his words or stance, he still wanted to stand his ground for some reason.

"Since you've just talked about trust an all, why exactly should I trust you ? What if i get attacked the moment we appear in Bastion ?"

Saint Madoc grin widened, amused by his defiance.

"Awakened Ragna, if we seeked your death, I would've already killed you here and now."

Ragna felt very bold, maybe even childish, right now so he still continued.

"That might be true but you don't know what Memories i have in my arsenal. If I could somehow escape from you after you attacked me, we would surely be enemies. And I don't think it would be wise to make an enemy of me. I might only be awakened right now but it may change in the future.", he trailed off for a second before smiling,

"But I trust you, Saint Madoc. So let's get going."

"Hmp, witty kid.", Madoc said before placing his hand on Ragnas shoulder.

In the next second, Ragna's vision became blurry and white. It felt like he had just travelled between the two worlds. And then, the light disappeared.

Ragna now found himself in a large room. It seemed to be a meeting room since there was a long table in the middle.

"We are in the castle of Bastion now, Awakened Ragna. Let's discuss the arrangements privately now.", Madoc said while sitting down on one of the random chairs.

Ragna sat down in front of him and waited patiently. This was exactly what he was after for a long time, after all.

"You surely now why I arranged this meeting, don't you ? Let's keep it short. I see you as someone with a lot of potential and I want you to join Valor."

Ragna of course wanted to join too and would've already accepted but he needed to act like he was the gift here.

"What do I get from this ? You can't expect me to help with whatever your Clan needs without giving me anything in return."

"Oh, yes of course you'll get something in return. We'll provide you with memories and Echoes of high quality. That should be enough, no ?"

"That sounds alluring. But might I ask for one more thing ? You know, in the Dream Realm I have made an enemy of a important member of House of Night, Caspian. You surely know who he is. What I want is protection. They wouldn't think of attacking me when Valor stands behind me.

Madoc suddenly started laughing out loud.

"You made an enemy of a? And then with House of Nights prodigy boy ? But don't worry, protection is a given."

The Saint then stood up and walked towards Ragna while also extending his arm towards him.

"Is this enough to make you a part of Valor, Awakened Ragna ?"

Ragna stood up too, taking the Saints extended arm, and feeling his strength in the grip.

"I'm in."

"Then let me personally welcome you. From now on you are a part from Valor, Awakened Ragna. I expect great things from you so don't disappoint me."

"Soooo, back to the part of providing memories. ... Might I get a armor type one ? I lost my only one a few days ago."

"Armor type memory you say ? Every member of Valor gets one. I should still have a few of them in my soul of sea. I'll give you one, they were crafted by our blacksmiths. Madoc then touched Ragnas shoulder once more and transferred one of his memories towards him."

Ragna's expression got more serious but he also started to grin slightly, looking up at the tall man.

"How do I create my own Legacy Clan ?"

Another new chapter !! - just a day after the last one. I hope you enjoyed it.

By the way, I started a new fanfic yesterday, already having released one chapter.

It's called "Shadow Slave: Rainy Days".

In the fanfic the roles of Rain and Sunny are basically reversed, meaning that Rain will be the protagonist and older sister. It will be kinda similar to the original story, not like this one, but I'll still put my own spin onto it.

I won't release chapters very consistently on the fanfic, since I want to concentrate on this one, but check it out if you find the concept interesting.
