Shadow Dragon: The Fallen Angel Is My Teacher

Chapter 137: Twisted Personality, You Can Fuck Off Now

It took me a full day to remove the limiters on this summoning circle.

Every last limiter was gone now.

As I finished, the Positive Energy in the air began to churn violently.

It shimmered faintly, visible even to the naked eye.

It looked like glowing fireflies drifting through the night.

'Alright, I've made all of my preparations.'

A large patch of cloth lay at my feet, made through alchemy.

I was wearing the Disguise Skin and had already consumed the Type C Blood Veil Elixir.

"Lord of Shadows. There's something you need to know," Yuna said as the air started to hum.

The God would be summoned any minute now.

"What is it, Yuna?" I asked, keeping my eyes on the swirling energy.

"Gods are born from the concentration of Positive Energy and intent.

"Because of that, they're usually kind and compassionate when they first appear.

"But that purity makes them fragile."

She floated near my shoulder.

"When they're exposed to corruption — from Cursed Spirits, people's desires, or even human emotions — their personalities can twist. So… be prepared."

I nodded quietly.

The Positive Energy gathered even faster now.

The ground trembled faintly under my feet, and the air pulsed with warmth.

It was strong enough to shake the whole forest.

I looked up at the sky, wondering how much attention this was drawing.

'The major Hidden Clans must have sensed this by now.'

'I wonder if they've activated their satellites.'

Most people didn't know this, but the major Hidden Clans did have advanced surveillance satellites capable of watching the entirety of earth's ground.

They just didn't use them often.

The reason was simple: Cursed Spirits.

If a parasitic-type Cursed Spirit appeared on a camera even by mistake, it could infect the satellite.

From there, it could spread to other machines, manipulate data, or do far worse.

It had happened before.

A single Cursed Spirit had once infected a surveillance satellite.

Then it spread to two more, and even reached an orbital weapon near them.

Thankfully, it hadn't attacked.

Its narrative prevented it from firing.

But the event had been enough of a warning.

Machines could be taken over too.

And when that happened, the consequences could be catastrophic.

There was no high rank mechanic on Earth, and the machines couldn't be given soul.

And without soul, they couldn't have Spirit stat or use relics to resist the parasitic-type Cursed Spirits from taking over them.

I took a deep breath as the runes started glowing brighter.

Lowering my head, I looked at the ground.

The amount of Positive Energy had reached a level where the summoning was about to begin.

Then the ground trembled violently.

The entire forest suddenly became silent and a divine presence filled the air.

I didn't look up.

Looking directly at a god for too long could kill me.

"A## ### ### cal### me?"

The voice wasn't clear. My mind couldn't comprehend it.

It rattled my eardrums, sharp enough to make blood drip from them.

I couldn't even tell if it was male, female, or something in between.

"Lord of Shadows, the God is asking if you were the one who called him," Yuna said.

She was unaffected.

The God couldn't see her. The System masked her completely.

I nodded.

"Good! Ver# #e#l! I sh###—"

The divine voice roared again.

My head pounded like it would split open.

I clenched my teeth and kept my stance.

Yuna's calm voice reached me. "He's praising you, Lord of Shadows. He says he'll grant one of your wishes since you managed to summon him."

I went down on one knee.

Showing respect was necessary even if this jackass was using his divine voice despite knowing it would cause me damage.

"O Lord of Forest, Protector of the Weak, Supreme Hunter, Friend of the First Beast, and Merciful Giver," I said, keeping my eyes low. "Please bless this cloth. I wish to hold it every day when I pray to you."

I lifted the folded cloth toward the light.

My tone was polite.

It wasn't because I respected him.

It was because I knew what kind of creature I was dealing with, one that could crush me like dust just because I breathed the wrong way.

"Haha! Y## #n#w ho# ## #ra#se so#####!"

The laughter boomed across the forest, shaking the trees.

"###! # wi## fu##ill yu## ####. But! ##—"

"He says you know how to praise well. And that he will fulfill your wish, but in return, you have to look at him." Yuna translated quickly.

Looking at a God directly for more than a few seconds could kill me.

And yet, this one asked for it.

I wasn't angry.

If anything, I smiled faintly.

That confirmed what kind of God he was.

And it also made me sure about what I was going to do after this.

"N## ##### he##."

"Lord of Shadows, he's asking you to raise your head," Yuna said softly. There was a faint trace of worry in her voice.

I stood up slowly and raised my head, looking at the logic defying scene.

The entirety of the Alps was standing in front of me.

His body made of mountains was covered in vines and fur, and it was shaped like a beetle.

His head was shaped like a stag's skull, but the antlers burned like torches.

One of his eyes was the sun, blazing gold, and the other was a solar eclipse, black and glowing at the edges.

His hands looked human, but his fingers ended in roots.

When he breathed, flowers bloomed around him, only to wither the next second.

My body trembled slightly under the weight of his presence, but I forced myself to stay still.

I refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing fear.

He smiled.

A faint golden light gathered on his fingertip.

Then, with a single flick, he sent the light toward the cloth in my hands.

The fabric glowed, then dimmed.

The blessing was complete.

He probably expected me to lower my head in gratitude.

But I didn't.

I kept my eyes on him.

For a moment, the God looked confused.

"Thank you for your benevolence, O God," I said, my voice steady. "Now you can fuck off."

Before he could react, I sent a burst of mana into the runic array beneath us.

The flow reversed instantly.

Positive Energy began to churn violently, spinning around the summoning circle like a storm.

The God's expression changed from arrogance to panic, realizing what was happening.

He tried to resist, but his resistance only strengthened the de-summoning array.

His form flickered as his own energy began to pull him back.

"Wh—" he tried to speak, but his voice fractured into static.

He roared, his divine energy crashing against the runes, trying to crush me in anger.

But the rune array held, empowered by his own energy.

A bright flash swallowed him whole.

And just like that, the God disappeared, dragged back into the prison he had come from.

The last thing he saw was my faint grin.

"Lord of Shadows, let me heal—" Yuna started.

"Not now," I interrupted. "The Exorcists will arrive here soon. We need to leave."

I activated the Killer Switch runes I had set earlier.

The entire God Summoning Array ignited in golden light, and was burned away.

A flash bright enough to turn night into day swallowed the forest.
