Shackles Of Reality

"Speak of the devil" I muttered under my breath as I felt a large amount of different energy fluctuations from the north. I swiftly started sprinting there, when was almost there, I slowed down and stealthy walked closer and "well I'll be damned".

In front of me was chaos, about seven different groups were fighting, and there were about forty two cadets in the skirmish. There were even two gold ranks among them, most probably from one of the seven great families that were in the ordinary class.

I moved closer and hid behind a building to take a closer look while being careful enough to not be detected. My plan was to wait for them to tire each other out and then take them by surprise. The two gold ranks were fighting each other, one seemingly from the Wellington family, throwing out light attacks and the other I guessed was from Ashbourne family, he had lightning coursing around his body.

I hid my presence further, either way I had to wait for one of the gold ranks to be eliminated. While waiting, I decided to sharpen a wood into a double edge sword for easier elimination.

Soon their numbers were dwindling and even the fight between the gold ranks had reached it's climax, and the lt looks like the Wellington guy was loosing. Less than a minute later he was eliminated leaving the lightning guy panting for breath, and that was when I took my chance, frankly he was the only one here who could threaten me.

I held the knife I carved in a reverse grip, enhancing it with my energy, in that same instant I rushed at him with all my speed while simultaneously activating crushing, the moment the crushing was activated, it covered the entire area of the battlefield, and throwing everyone off balance by the time I reached the guy, he quickly stabilized his body trying to dodge my blade but it was too late.

Like a phantom, the makeshift knife sliced his neck five centimeters deep, without even waiting to see him turn into light, I was already in front of the girl next to him, she hadn't even balanced herself because she was in peak silver rank, just a minor rank above me, so she was felling a lot of pressure on her body instead of just losing balance.

I sliced her neck without hesitation, and moved to another guy, this one was basically on his knees, though I was kind of expecting him to be flat on the floor. I also sliced his neck just as the others in the surrounding came out of their stupor.

"Kill that bastard" shouted a boy with a particularly fierce expression, maybe he hated that I was more handsome than him. But I must applaud him, he managed to draw their aggro from each other to me, but sadly, I couldn't fight them all, they were eleven all together.

Granted I could completely immobilize those in mid silver rank downwards but, there are still four peak silver ranks, and with everyone having unpredictable abilities, I wasn't sure I could take them.

But I had no intention of running away, I wanted to test my abilities against a large number of people and also wanted to test my limit. As I saw all of them closing in on me, a rare smile appeared on my otherwise calm face before I muttered "divide and conquer it is".

The guy who riled them up against me waved his hands, countless shards of metals surged towards me, it wouldn't take a genius to know his bloodline had to do with magnetism. Just as the shards were half a meter away from me, "quake pulse" I muttered, and an overwhelming force erupted outwards from all over my body in 360° pushing everything and everyone at least a hundred meters away and even blowing away buildings in close proximity.

A large clearing was made with me at the center.

It was an upgrade of repulsion I had been practicing, instead of the force coming only from my hand, it comes from all surface areas of my entire body. The rubble cleared so I moved towards where the cadets were blasted only for me to see they there were only three people remaining, eight were nowhere to be found.

Guess they must have been killed by debris or of those shard of metals due to the force of repulsion. Oh how funny will it be if the magnet gut got killed by his own metals. I walked over to the remaining three who were horrified.

"Y.... you monster, how are you so strong at your rank" asked one of the remaining three.

"Not your business" I replied finishing him off.

"It's not fair, this shit is not fair, I've trained ever since I could remember, I stayed up countless nights just to train, and you're telling me a lower rank holder can defeat me easily?" he wailed. "It's not fair, it's not fair" he continued.

I went closer than him and crouched to his eye level and said "there's nothing to cry about, overall I'm just better, no hard feelings, life is not exactly fair in the first place, so adios" I said sending him off .

Now the last, I turned to the last one remaining, it was a girl trapped under rubble on the brink of tears, I also ended her misery.

"Huh, that brings my kill count to twenty three".

Meanwhile with the instructors, "Damn, I call dibs on that kid" shouted Justin.

"Who is he anyway?" another instructor asked. They had jus finished seeing Adam's fight with the twelve. "He's in my class, he's one tardy kid, likes coming late to class" Ms Evelyn answered with an eye roll. "I don't care about him coming to late, I'm gonna take him as my student" Gwen declared.

"What do you mean? I called dibs on him first" Justin argued. "Why are you calling dibs on him like he's some commodity, and besides you guys are already late, he's the head instructor's" Ms Evelyn stated calmly bursting their bubble.
