"Nice try changing the topic but it still remains that you're unable to even take flight" I said with an expression that said 'i got you'. "I was not and it was true" he argued. "Yeah I get it, it's your imagination" I replied.

The other classes passed on like that with no additional fanfare, after the classes I went back to the dorms. I changed into a bodysuit I bought for training, shit costed me two thousand points. After equipping my expensive bodysuit, I flew off to the crystal lake, I reached there after a few minutes.

Today I was going to try and create new techniques, I recalled most of my fights recently, I was being in a disadvantage, though it came from the fact that all their ranks are higher than mine. I was pretty shocked when I felt Owen's aura was in the gold rank, I mean the last time we sparred he was still in mid silver, and then just a few days later he was in gold rank.

I asked him about it and what he said gave me the answer I needed, apparently they were all suppressing their ranks and by they, I mean he and his friends from the noble clans, so when they decide to breakthrough, they can breakthrough an extra minor rank or two.

After hearing that, I thought since I wouldn't be able to breakthrough for quite a while, why not diversify my abilities hence came what I was doing at the lake today. "So what do I start with?", I mused. I was thinking between an attack technique or a defensive one.

So it's either gravity imprisonment for attacking or gravity shield for defence. 'Which one so I choose?' I thought. A tough choice indeed choosing between immobilizing my opponents or defending myself from attacks. Screw that I'm doing both but first I'll start with the shield, I've been getting hit a lot more than I would have liked these days.

The theory is to create a shield like construct using gravitational energy, 'welp let's give it a try' I thought. I started by focusing my gravitational energy to form an oval construct in front of me, and I have to tell you I was pretty bad at shaping. Instead of an oval, what I had was an what looked like a deformed stone, of course it was glass like and transparent.

But I wasn't one to give up, I continued trying and in the end I managed to make a crude oval shape and even that was taking almost all my concentration. After that I tried to test it's durability, I thought about using a boulder that weighed about two and a half tons but changed my mind, I didn't want to risk getting crushed if the shield didn't hold up.

So I picked up a relatively small log about ten meters away from me using gyro-telekinesis, it was relatively easy to learn, I just had to wrap my gravitational energy around the matter and then make it weightless while controlling the energy wrapped around it to make it move, I could also increase it's weight by severely magnitudes which was what I did to the log now.

After I increased the log's weight to about one ton, I threw it towards the crude shield construct in front of me at great speeds, the moment it impacted the shield, SMASH, the crude shield shattered like a glass hit with hammer, so I did the next best thing, I jumped to the side barely evading the furious log, I'm starting to think that deciding not to use that two and a half ton boulder was one of the best decisions I've made since I was born.

'The shield was hard enough, if it wasn't it wouldn't be visible, so what was it that made it break?' I pondered. Then it hit me, it had nothing to do with it being hard or visible, what matters most is it's density. It depends more on how tightly packed the forces of gravity are in the construct.

So I started experimenting again trying my all to make the shape right as I want while increasing the density, I picked the log again but this time the shield wasn't in front of me but beside me. This time when the log hit the shield, the shield held on for half a second before giving shattering unlike last time when it shattered in an instant.

'I won't leave here today until this shield is able to stop the log' I vowed silently in my mind. So I continued doing it until around seven pm. "Ha, finally it withstood the log without breaking" I muttered while staring at the almost completely transparent shield in front of me. "Grooo" my stomach grumbled. Alright I guess it's time to head, I have achieved what I came here to do, at least part of it.

The glaring flaw in the shield is that; it takes time to set up, though it's only two to three seconds, in a fight where attacks hit in split seconds, it will be useless, so the first priority is to reduce the conjuring time to a split second, preferably with just a thought and also, I have to focus on making the shield invisible, but I'll leave that to the future me.

I was about to fly off when I felt my body being sweaty, so I removed my bodysuit and went for a quick dive inside the lake before coming out. I then took out fresh clothes from my storage and wore them before flying off. I flew down around half a kilometer to the dorms and sprinted the rest of the way.

As I reached the dorms area, I didn't head to my room but instead went to a familiar restaurant that has been well renovated. It was the same one we were attacked in. It was particularly crowded. I found an empty table by the window and sat down.

I tapped on the table which projected a hologram with a diverse array of dishes, I clicked on a dish called grilled hybrid duck wings. They were a product of the hybrid duck. It's a silver ranked beast known for its delicious meat and fiery nature.

In less than a minute, a robot came over with the dish. Even it's appearance was mouth watering, I couldn't wait to try it. I picked one and took a bite and oh my god 'Heavenly' I thought. But right then, a cold voice bought me out of my bliss. "Get out, this is my seat" said the voice.
