Sévir Is A Pariah!

Chapter 87: Checkpoint Eleven: Vyshledi's Wrath: I!

Hello again, my lovely readers! We've reached the eleventh checkpoint, and I'm very excited.

First, I want to apologise for the rather snail-like publications, nowadays it's been getting harder to write down ideas into actual chapters, and with added responsibilities around life and how to cope with it, I don't always get to express all my untapped ideas properly.

Still, I thank you all for reading for ten months into 2024. So far, this year's been split into the First Tournament arc: I & II, and the Southern Districts arc. There have been many mistakes down the line that may make you question if the story is worth it, but I do my best to overcome them and improve the story to be worth reading.

Thank you all for reading Sévir Is A Pariah! for this long. If you can, spread the word. Let's work hard to make this story acknowledged!

Onto the main topic, we're officially shifting from the Southern Districts Arc onto Vyshledi's Wrath: I. I've been formulating the arc since April, so I'm very excited to put all this into the written plot. To add to that, this is the first of a few arcs part of the "next phase", so we'll be getting a more coherent plot, tighter action and some juicy drama.

Sit back, relax, and read. I promise to deliver as much as I can.

Before I end things, let's look back at everything that happened in this arc, shall we?

At the very first chapter, Sévir, Sanguinex, and Zephyr returned from the Magiaville stadiums. They got their day going, with Sanguinex and Zephyr buying flowers for their deceased family. Meredith joined in, and all of them paid respect to the deceased. Right away, we saw Sévir cry as he attempted to converse with them alone.

Minerva successfully entered The Forbidden and encountered a man named Nell and his group after falling onto his place from the roof. She named herself Rio. Steadily, she uncovered the horrors of the activities ongoing under the fantastical place she loved. Later on, Ayuna, a retainer of the Trystas entered The Forbidden. She overthrew and slaughtered the leaders right at the spot, revealing her horrific inhumane strength and lack of humanity.

Sévir eventually catches up and encounters Minerva, or Rio during a short fight in a bar, leading to her chasing him. Later on as Minerva encountered Ayuna, it developed into a battle and a cat and mouse chase. Sévir saves Minerva in the nick of time just as Ayuna disarmed her, and they both escape.

Returning to the surface, the notorious gangsters of the Southern Districts worked together and declared a full rebellion against the government, provoking them, the Stepan Capital Academy, and the Adventurers' Guild into battle. The rebellion is still ongoing as we enter Vyshledi's Wrath: I.

The girl who first appeared in chapter 31: Man Against Beast (I) returned and revealed her abilities as she fought the Trystan Knights previously chasing Crimson, or Sanguinex. She's revealed to be a notorious criminal, the One Shot.

As the Stepan Capital Academy openly declares involvement, the students' opinions are mixed, but they essentially have no choice in the matter when the Director branded it the final examination. Sévir, Sanguinex, Minerva, Zephyr and all other students are put into groups.

Come the following days, everything escalated and losses in the Academy side were no longer zero. Percival had shown his resistance against the academy's involvement, but appears to do it anyway when his team had a mission. He discovers Damon, the Fourth Undefeated, to have a connection with the gangsters (now referred to as bandits). Damon captures him quickly.

Worried, Minerva went out of her way to find him in the Southern Districts despite lacking her sword. Meredith eventually joined, and they found and rescued Percival and a young boy.

Sévir finally joins his team in the mission and holds a strategic hill in Gran Planus connecting to Eatsa. For the first time, he feels anger as he realises Damon is most likely behind Percival's capture. He meets a senior student, Venice who was introduced in earlier chapters.

As he went to sleep, he woke up with Meredith beside him. They had a short conversation, and she left eventually.

We eventually got introduced to the awaited, Bernard Trysta, and he seems to have plans for the near future.

As the story progressed to chapter 64, more developments occurred, especially between Sévir and Meredith until it reached a breaking point, and he finally called off their engagement arranged from childhood. The night before, Zephyr and everyone found out her identity was leaked after she went to buy a gift for Sévir.

As Zephyr went out to battle, her team was overwhelmed and retreated. Zephyr found herself cornered with Deleena across the wall. A bang ensued, and everything went silent.

The next day, the news of her death was spread, leading to the events of chapters 64, .2, .3, .4.

Within 6 months, the Southern Districts propelled the story to the darker tone it intended to reach, and as we enter Vyshledi's Wrath: I, we can expect the reactions of all our characters, and watch them develop and adapt to the situations before them.

That's it from me, please continue observing Sévir and company's journey!

'Till next time.
