As Izuku and I fought our way through the robots, we each made sure our hits were timed perfectly to land on each at the same time. I would punch and he would kick, we would clothesline them and break their legs, or I would toss him up and he would land on them and I would punch them at the same time. Our tag teaming cleaned the robots up quickly and efficiently.
“I wonder... how they are... scoring us.” Izuku commented as we took a brief break beside a building near a small park.
“They better be giving us equal points. We're taking the robots down together.” I said and closed my eyes. “Okay, we've got six on the right and two on the left. Other students on the left.”
“We go right?” Izuku asked and I nodded.
We took off and used the robots own targeting systems against them. Even with six of them and only two of us, we still managed to put them all down quickly.
“How are you doing?” I asked.
“Cycling at eight percent.” Izuku said.
“Nice. How about we go rescue the others down the alley?”
“Let's go!” Izuku said and we ran out of where we were and down to the right and saw the students struggling with two of the larger three point robots.
“Need a hand or a distraction?” I asked as we ran over to them.
“Both!” A spiky redhead said.
“Then take a launch off my back!” I said and ducked down beside one of the robots.
“SWEET!” The guy said and ran, hopped on my back, then jumped as his hands became like jagged rocks. He tore through the robot's chest and landed in a roll on the other side. “That was AWESOME!”
“Izuku!” I said and saw him kick the other three pointer in the back and made it stumble. It gave the other guy a chance to get close and slammed his large fists into the robot's head and crushed it. “Nice one!”
“Anything else close?” Izuku asked me.
I closed my eyes and listened. “Four two pointers on the next street. A dozen one pointers in the next square.”
“How do you know that?” The redhead asked, surprised.
“Hearing.” I said and took off running. Izuku easily caught up to me and we left the others behind.
“Going for the one pointers?” Izuku asked.
“Easy points first.” I said with a grin and Izuku chuckled.

“Who are those two kids working together?” Midnight asked and licked her lips. “Look at them go! Their coordination is spectacular.”
Aizawa flipped through some pages. “The one wearing Superman's symbol is Connor Kent. The other is Izuku Midoria.”
“What are their quirks?” The little mouse-like thing named Nezu asked.
“They haven't registered any.” Aizawa said.
“Excuse me?” The mouse squeaked.
“According to their middle school paperwork, they are quirkless.”
All Might coughed and everyone looked over at him. “If you check the latest records, you will see that both have registered. One with a body modification quirk like his father and the other with a power quirk.”
“When did they register?”
“Yesterday.” All Might said. “I had the registrar's office rush through the paperwork.”
“This is highly irregular.” The mouse said.
“Well... I kind of... forgot to tell them to register.” All Might said and everyone in the room sighed.
“You're lucky that we all like you so much.” Midnight said and looked back at the monitors. “Those two are going to go far.”
“Even if they do nothing else during the test, they have already passed.” Nezu the mouse said. “They had perfect scores on the written tests.”
“What? I thought that was impossible.” Aizawa said. “There are trick questions to ensure that.”
“Both students caught them and answered them both as the questions they were and as what the questions could have been.” Nezu said with a smile. “It was quite enlightening to read their thoughts on those kinds of questions.”
“Well, if it doesn't matter what they do now...” Aizawa looked at All Might. “...go ahead and release it.”
All Might smiled and whapped his hand down on the big red button that had 'Do Not Push' written on it. “That felt sooo good.” He said with a satisfied sigh, which made the other heroes in the room laugh.

Izuku and I made it one of the large squares and were pounding on the pile of one pointer robots to get the easy points when the ground started to shake.
*BOOOOM!*
The huge building in front of us crumbled apart and a six storey robot stood up as it smashed its way out of the rubble.
“It's the Zero Pointer!” Someone yelled and everyone started running.
“That's just not fair!” I said and stared up at the thing. It was huge and was as wide as the building it had just destroyed.
“We're not ready for that.” Izuku said and stared at it. “Multi-jointed. Hydraulic legs rated for at least ten thousand pounds. Heavily armored. Unknown power source. Even if we could break it open, it might cause even more destruction.”
“Yeah.” I said and then I heard it. A low cry of pain. “Izuku! Debris at eleven o'clock!”
Izuku looked over and his eyes squinted. “Ninety percent chance she'll be crushed when it takes a step.”
“Say no more.” I said and we took off at our best speed. I could feel Izuku cycle up to ten percent and the little shots of lightning flowed around his legs.
“I need a launch pad or I won't reach the head.” Izuku said.
“No problem.” I said and darted ahead and skidded to a stop on my knees right beside the girl caught under the piece of rubble. “Hey, cutie.”
“Um... hi?” Uraraka said, as if it was a question.
I grunted when Izuku slammed his foot into my back and he jumped into the air. “Don't worry. We got this.” I said and easily lifted the rubble off of her trapped leg and tossed it aside.
“Detroit... SLAAAAM!” Izuku yelled and shoved his feet right into the giant robot's face. The shockwave rocked the surrounding buildings and vaporized the head. Izuku flipped over and used the conserved momentum to land on the now falling robot's decapitated neck. “CONNOR!”
“Time to go.” I said and picked Uraraka up in a princess carry before I took off at my best speed dash.
“WHOAAAA!” Uraraka yelled as her hair whipped around her face. It only lasted for a second and I turned us around at the edge of the square to watch the robot collapse onto its knees, then it fell forward and I chuckled as Izuku rode the thing down like it was an escalator. Just before it slammed into the ground, he hopped off and ran over to me.
“Okay, even I have to admit that looked cool.” I said and Izuku grinned.
“What the hell was that?!?” Uraraka asked, shocked.
“We rescued you.” Izuku said.
“But... you just... how did you...”
“I was going to let Connor help handle it if we weren't concerned about the power generator exploding.” Izuku said with a shrug. “Luckily, it's insulated and self contained. No need to worry.”
“That's a relief.” I said and looked at the girl in my arms. “Any idea where the medical facilities are?”
“Wha? No, I...”
“I'm right here, young man.” An old woman said as she walked over.
“It's the youthful support hero, Recovery Girl!” Izuku gasped and the old woman cackled a laugh. “It's a pleasure to meet you!”
“I'll say the same, as long as you're not injured.” The old woman said while eyeing him up and down.
“No, ma'am. I know my limits.” Izuku said and she nodded.
“Young lady? Is it just the ankle?” Recovery Girl asked.
“I may have scrapes and a bruise on my back.” Uraraka said.
“I'll take care of that right now.” The old lady said and kissed Uraraka's forehead.
“Ohh, I'm sleepy.” Uraraka said and closed her eyes.
“Bring her over to the support area near the entrance, please. She'll be asleep for an hour to recover her stamina.”
I nodded and Izuku came with me to deliver the unconscious girl to the right area. We ignored the whispers and the stares as much as we could. We left her there with a nurse and went to the locker rooms.
Izuku let out a sigh and collapsed on the bench next to our locker. “That was intense.”
I gripped his shoulder. “How high can you push it until you suffer backlash?”
“I've got it up to twenty two percent before my bones break.” Izuku said.
I chuckled. “Let me rephrase that. How far can you go before you tear up your muscles?”
“Fifteen on my arms and twenty on my legs.” Izuku admitted.
“Hmm. Okay, we can work with that.” I said. “I assume that was twenty on the robot?”
Izuku nodded. “It was the only way to guarantee I could destroy the head and have enough speed to not fall to my death.”
“I wouldn't let that happen.” I said and let his shoulder go. “Mei would turn me inside out.”
Izuku smiled. “She really would.”
“Let's get a shower and head out.” I said and we did just that and changed into our normal clothes.

The people in the monitoring booth stared at the replay as the mouse played the scene again.
“How do we score that?” Midnight asked, shocked.
“There's no points for the zero pointer. That's the point.” Aizawa said and put drops in his eyes.
“You know what I mean.” Midnight said with a sigh. “That was the single most awesome thing I have ever seen.”
“I have to agree.” Nezu the mouse-like thing said. “Look at that precision. The timing.”
“Go back to when it was revealed.” All Might suggested and the clip rewound to the right spot. “Can you focus on the boys and their faces?”
“Switching to feed from the center body camera.” Nezu said and zooming in. “Oh, my. How did you know?”
“Know what?” Another hero, Snipe the Gunslinging Hero, asked.
“They planned it in only a few seconds.” Nezu said and showed the clip of the two boys talking. He repeated what they were saying, because reading lips was easy for him, and the other heroes were speechless. “All Might, I leave their intros to you.”
“I want them in my class.” Aizawa said and stood up.
“You know we draw lots of the top forty for who goes where.” Nezu said.
“I won't chance breaking a pair like that apart.” Aizawa said. “I've been an underground hero for years and I've never come across a more perfect team that works so well together.”
All Might sighed. “You're going to try and train them apart and see if they still work well together, aren't you?”
Aizawa smirked for a second and then left the room.
“The jokes on him.” All Might said and stood himself. “They've been apart for four months and this is the first time they've teamed up since then.”
The other heroes gave him odd looks, as if asking how he knew that.
“I asked them, of course.” All Might said with a laugh and left the room.

“You did it!” Mei shouted when we stepped off the bus back at the main campus. She tackled Izuku to the ground a second later and then proceeded to suck his face off.
I contained my laughter, mostly, and waited for her kissing fit to end. It took a while, mainly because Izuku wasn't fighting against her in the least. They eventually got up, Izuku's face red from a blush and covered with lots of lip prints.
“When did you start wearing lipstick?” I asked.
“About a minute before you arrived.” Mei said and grinned at me. “It was a test to see how messy it was. It's very messy. I'll see about developing a smear proof one when I get home.”
“Mei, you don't have to.” Izuku whispered.
“You said you like my lips shiny.” Mei said and that was the end of it.
“Come on, let's get to the train and get you crazy kids home.” I said and ushered them down the street.
“Mom's going to go mental.” Izuku said and put his arm around Mei's waist.
“We haven't been officially accepted yet.” I said with a grin, which made Mei snort. “Okay, yes. I know you definitely got in. You're Power Loader's assistant!”
Mei grinned back at me. “He lets me play as much as I want and he only scolds me when my babies escape!”
“I don't want to know.” I said and waved my hand. “The less I know, the better.”
“He's jealous.” Izuku said. “He just needs an awesome girl like you in his life.”
Mei looked thoughtful for a minute. “I'm sorry. I don't know any other girls like me.”
“That's okay. We can't expect there to be two girls like you around.” Izuku said and kissed her cheek. “One is a miracle by itself.”
Mei blushed and ducked her head a little. “Izuku.”
“Your boyfriend points have reached maximum capacity.” I said as we reached the train station. “Please wait until they are spent before adding any more.” I joked and looked at the schedule. “Only a ten minute wait for the next express. Not bad.”
The time passed quickly and we boarded the train.
“Cuddle time!” Mei said and Izuku let her settle half on his lap and she leaned against his chest as he hugged her close.
“You know, I'm not actually jealous of you.” I said and saw their raised eyebrows. “I mean, sure, I would like a girl to do that with; but, I'm never getting between you or would try to ruin what you have. You guys make each other happy and you deserve that.”
Mei and Izuku looked at each other briefly and then back at me. “Thank you.” “Thanks.”
I shrugged. “Like I told Izuku earlier, he would do the same for me if he was the third wheel.”
“A third wheel.” Mei said and then started whispering under her breath.
Neither I nor Izuku interrupted her as she worked something out in her head. We both had times like that and needed to keep that train of thought going for as long as it needed to. Thankfully, her mental train ended before the real train ride did. We stepped off and Mei gave Izuku a passionate kiss.
“I'm off to make a new baby!” Mei said and took off at a run. When she reached the end of the street, she pulled off her backpack and yanked out a big lumpy something. A few seconds later, she had unfolded it and it was the scooter she had made that day. “BYE!”
We waved to her as she zoomed off.
“I definitely love her.” Izuku said and we heard a squeal of delight.
“You left the microphone on?” I asked with a chuckle.
“She can do what she wants to me.” Izuku said with a shrug.
“Yep, that's love.” I said and we went to his house.
“We're back!” Izuku said after he opened the door.
“Didyoudoit?” Inko asked in a rush as she tackled her son to the floor. “You did, didn't you?”
Izuku could only nod and his mother started bawling and crying with happiness.
“I'll be in your room.” I said and shut the door before going to where I was bunking for the night. It had been a while since I stayed over and I wasn't surprised that there was a significant change to Izuku's room. “Damn, she's making another junk pile to build from.” I said with a laugh and cleared a spot to sit down without hurting myself. It was only a few minutes later when Izuku came in.
“Mom says supper will be ready soon.”
I waved at his room. “Mei kinda moved in, huh?”
Izuku chuckled and dug a box out of the closet. “No, this is just stuff I've dug up or found for her to look through.”
The box was half filled with junk and broken things, so we added most of the things that were scattered around the room and filled the box again.
“How much did she suck on your tonsils for that?” I asked with a grin.
“Almost half an hour.” Izuku said and put the box back in the closet.
“Well, damn! I've got a lot of catching up to do when I start dating.” I said and laughed. “Good for you, Izuku.”
Izuku nodded and sat down on his bed. “She's great and I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend.”
“The microphone is still on, isn't it?” I asked and slapped his knee.
“It doesn't matter. I'd say the same thing.” Izuku said and laid back. “Connor, do you think...”
“Yes.” I said and laid back. “My Dad would have been proud with what we did.”
“What about All Might?”
“I'm surprised he hasn't broken the door down yet to congratulate you.” I joked and Izuku laughed. “He'll have to wait for the official results before he does that, though.”
“How long?” Izuku asked.
“Four days.” I said. “They only accept the top forty ranks into the classes and the rest either go to other academies or shuffle into the general courses. With an average of ten student calculations per day and a number of judges that they haven't specified, it's a rough guess.”
“I calculated by the ranks themselves. The highest taking the longest to assess with more to calculate and the lower ranks doing less and needing less to mark.” Izuku said. “It's funny that I got four days, too.”
I chuckled. “You know, I've never wondered why were friends.”
“Me, either.” Izuku said with a smile on his face.
We fell into a companionable silence after that and didn't speak again until it was time to eat.

A week later, my mom came into my room.
“Honey, it's here.” Lois said and handed me the envelope.
“Want to read it together?” I asked and took it.
“No, it's your first acceptance letter. You need to enjoy it for yourself the first time.” Lois said and gave me a hug and a kiss on the forehead before she left.
I opened the envelope and there was no note inside. Instead, it was a little metal disk. I had no clue what it was and set it down on my desk to try and analyze it. It glowed for a second, part of it flipped up, and then a hologram came out. It was six inches high and I stared at the tiny All Might that flickered into existence.
“Hello, Young Kent!” All Might said and waved. “I am here... as a hologram!”
I chuckled at him making that joke.
“If you are concerned about the results of your exam, don't be!” All Might said and clapped his hands. “You'll be happy to know that you scored a perfect mark on the written test and impressed Principal Nezu of UA with your observations.”
I smiled because I had hoped my little digs at them putting trick questions into a hero exam would make them take notice. Impressing them was a nice bonus.
“About your practical exam...” All Might put his arms behind himself and grinned. “...you tied for first place in villain points with Izuku Midoria.”
“YES!” I yelled and then heard a feminine laugh from the living room.
“You both should be proud of yourselves. The teamwork you showed, with yourselves and with others, showed the best traits of heroes that we look for. Not to mention the various students you helped during the fighting.”
“Get to the end of the exam! What did you think of our solution for the zero pointer?” I asked.
“As for the last student you helped, after reviewing the footage from both the city cameras and the ones mounted inside the robots... you both also received the highest marks in rescue points as well.”
“Wait, what? Rescue points?” I asked, confused.
“You're probably wondering what I mean. Why, it's simple. What is a hero's primary job?”
“To save as many people as they can.” I answered.
“To save as many people as they can.” All Might repeated. “The two of you assessed the danger, weighed the pros and cons of what to do, then made a decision that would do the least amount of damage and also save the most amount of people.”
I sat back and stared at the miniature All Might.
“So, Young Kent.” All Might said. “Congratulations, and welcome to your Hero Academia!”
