Chapter 141: Scammer Forced Tourist to Buy His Merchandise After He Damaged It by Looking. The Item Melts When It Is Being Watched, Claimed the Scammer.
The seventh chapter's protagonist was the only one who could not be killed until the player reached his chapter. He was born a saint, and he lived in the realm of saints. Only his sister, whom he was in love with, stayed briefly in multiple mortal worlds to gather experience.
The sister, Xiao Maomao, was also an elusive character. By the time the first chapter ended, she already moved on to the immortal realm. When the player completed the second chapter, she quickly caught up with her brother and migrated to the saint realm.
Originally, Xiao Maomao and Xiao Ri didn't exist in the VN version of the game, but Fu Tong created them as a meme. It was the game company, who stole his mod and rewrote her storyline.
The timeline was set to random. They could appear in the starting world or never exist at all.
Fu Tong was not confident that he could catch one of them in this world. But since the clan branch and their traces were around, it wouldn't hurt to either convert them to his side or eliminate them.
"I guess I'll be busy again."

The next day, Fu Tong traveled east alone. As for his wives, they stayed home and took care of their children. Everybody got used to their new lifestyle and how Fu Tong always ran around and did something by himself.
It took him an hour as a quasi-saint to reach the destination. He gazed at the nostalgic place, which was a secret area that players could visit in chapter 3 or later. No game event took place there, but it held many secrets and hidden bosses.
The east coast of Grand Jade Continent belonged to the Xiao Clan's mortal branch. The Starlight Tamer Sect held a strong influence here as well, for their clan members practiced beast-taming techniques.
The geography was mostly forests, low hills, and fertile grassland, suitable for ranches and farmlands. At a glance, this region was a commoner haven, yet no commoner bothered living in this land. Only cultivators from the Xiao Clan, array masters, and alchemists thrived.
The farmlands served as a foundation for the Xiao Clan's alchemy department. Countless herbs, which should have only existed in the immortal realm, could be found there. Tamers and their quasi-immortal beasts patrolled the area 24/7.
As Fu Tong approached, tamers looked up and gave him a death glare. As soon as they noticed his aura, they flinched and ignored him. Nobody bothered stopping someone who exuded a quasi-immortal air, for they were experienced with immortals who loitered in this world.
Fu Tong arrived at the Xiao Clan's branch headquarters. A province-sized city was before him, but he couldn't continue flying.
Multiple defensive arrays and guardian beasts protected the watchtowers and the walls. A broadcasting array showed a massive signboard, telling guests and tourists not to fly over the city.
Avoiding complications, Fu Tong landed on the ground and proceeded to the city gate. Upon approaching, multiple city guards formed a squad and rushed toward him. They politely cupped their fists.
"Sir Immortal, welcome to Sleipnir Field City. May we ask which clan you are from?"
Fu Tong recalled the current situation in the immortal world. As he couldn't reveal that he was an ally of the Lu Clan or Dong Bai, he picked a new identity.
"Sun Wukong!"
Fu Tong was confident. When he coded the game Lores, he did not include the Journey of the West into the world's background. The story of this tale should be foreign to them.
"Sun surname? Are you an immortal, sir?" One of the guards was skeptical.
Fu Tong smirked. "The Immortal Realm is vast, child. Not all immortals have the Xia, Xiao, Ji, Lu, Tang, or Dong surname."
"That was a joke, sir. Please forgive the naïve soldier." Their team leader bowed deeply and gave the skeptical guard a death glare.
The man apologized. "I-I didn't know, sir. Please forgive me."
Fu Tong waved his hand. "It's fine. It's my first time being here. You're doing your job."
"…Thank you for your mercy. By the way, what is the purpose of your visit, sir?"
"I'm an alchemist. My cauldron broke. I need a new one, and I heard this place has the best tools for alchemists."
"Ah, you've come to the right place. Please proceed."
The guards opened the way. Fu Tong nodded and waltzed into the city unhindered.

The Sleipnir Field City population was 50 times larger and denser than Celestial Fox City. This metropolitan was packed with cultivators, Starlight Tamer Guild members, and merchants from the immortal realm. Pedestrians occupied all the main roads, minding their businesses. Everybody exuded the aura of a quasi-immortal. More than 90% of the local population were immortals who suppressed their cultivation.
Large shops and taverns were endless. Moreover, stables, offering mounts and tamed beasts, could only be found here. Street vendors displayed their perfect advancement pills, as though they were common items.
Fu Tong smacked his lips and secretly cursed Ji Laopan for taking too long to procure the items for him in the past. But when he glanced at the price tag, he changed his mind.
The vendor demanded a divine shard or an immortal-grade artifact instead of a karma coin. It was too expensive.
However, not all goodies seemed useless. Fu Tong spotted a miniature cauldron, which emitted the air of an immortal. The reveal hidden stats mod system displayed its information in a system window.
Man Eating Cauldron (Immortal Grade) (Cursed)
The name alone was already cursed. Fu Tong slightly shook his head and turned away from the vendor, searching for other items.
The vendor noticed Fu Tong's dissatisfied reaction. Offended, he stood and bellowed.
"What's with that look?! You have a problem with my merchandise?!"
Fu Tong glanced back. "I didn't say anything. Mind your business."
"Who do you think I am?! I am Xia Liang of the Xia Clan, the 7th-stage immortal! I have a token of authority here. Kowtow to me, apologize, and give me your divine storage rings, or I'll chop your head and feed it to my mount!"
The vendor pulled out karma coins and transformed them into needles, ready to kill Fu Tong.
Meanwhile, the crowd only glanced at Fu Tong and the vendor, shaking their heads. They ignored the troublemakers and continued with their businesses.
Noticing how the crowd didn't care about the karmic weapons and the vendor, Fu Tong sighed. He tried his best not to provoke the NPCs, but they still followed the scripts, even in the real world.
