A feminine, slender, and bald man sat on the throne, gazing at his retainers and allies in the throne room. Despite wearing women's makeup, he had two female slaves standing by his side, serving as his assistants. Both exuded the aura of a saint with dull eyes.

The man was Dong Huang, the new Heavenly Emperor who murdered his father for the throne.

While enjoying the view, Dong Huang played with the armrest with his fingers, tapping them and testing their durability. He smiled and chuckled.

"I should have done this long ago."

"You might have failed. Lu Liekong is not someone you could have defeated on your own."

The speaker was a handsome youth with a long ponytail. The living eyeball on his ornate black breastplate gave him the air of a death knight from a fantasy novel. Unlike regular cultivators, he equipped a full set of knight armor and carried a horned helmet in his arms.

Xia Chen remained expressionless as he glanced at his allies. Among them, Pei Gui Hong stood on the opposite side of the center carpet, leering at Dong Huang's women.

The Lust Demon returned in his original appearance. His skin was as pale as a corpse, and his long nails were pitch black. His eyeballs and his teeth, however, were whiter than a sheet of paper or white jade.

Next to Pei Gui Hong was a monster figure. His body composition consisted of nothing but crimson gas. He wore a hooded cloak, covering his entire body and leaving only his gas face visible.

Time Sage Nazzeck, the son of origin Abyssal Star, suppressed his cultivation base to the quasi-saint stage to be there with them. He also glared back at Xia Chan, as he knew what the skill-stealer was scheming.

Xia Chen clicked his tongue. As long as Nazzeck was around, he couldn't kill Dong Huang and steal his Abyssal Star Bloodline. He bid his time, waiting for the sage to leave. After all, he was still a quasi-saint. He could not defeat a sage yet, even if the sage was cursed by the Heavenly Dao's Laws because of his interference with the lower realms.

While Dong Huang played with the throne, he secretly observed the brief staring contest between his two helpers. His cunning eyes gleamed as his bloodline abilities were activated.

The abyssal star bloodline enhanced his eyes and his sea of consciousness. He saw the colors of people's auras, which revealed their hidden intentions. Black, red, and dark color auras indicated evil schemes or thoughts, while the brighter and cooler tones were the opposite.

Both Xia Chen and Pei Gui Hong harbored evil intentions. On the other hand, Time Sage Nazzeck's aura was white, revealing his sincerity.

With their intentions clear, Dong Huang had no trouble choosing his friends.

"Venerable Sage, senior. Without your help, I wouldn't have come this far. Sincerely, I thank you." Dong Huang lowered his head, bowing to the sage.

The cloaked sage nodded. His archaic voice echoed in the chamber.

"We share common goals. It's also natural to help a talented descendant who was born in the wrong realm. Obviously, as an elder, I have the obligation to bring you to the sage realm and nurture you."

Xia Chen and Pei Gui Hong frowned at their interactions. Since this was their family matter, they could not join the conversation, yet they were annoyed. Both did not like being there as decoration or tools for someone else to abuse.

Dong Huang glanced at the duo and noticed how their aura grew darker. He sneered at the two protagonists and inwardly laughed. He continued the conversation as if nothing had happened.

"Unfortunately, we only managed to secure the corpse of my father. My sister and the pests from the Lu Clan are on the loose. I hope everyone can help me defeat the insects plaguing the immortal realm. Venerable Sage, senior, could I ask you for further assistance if I may?"

Nazzeck replied without hesitation. "As long as you help me find an individual by the name "Fu Tong", I'll eradicate the Lu Clan and your enemies, obviously."

Dong Huang leaned forward, interested in the individual. "I've been hearing about this person lately. Who is he?"

"I once read his karma. He is an outer god from another universe."

"An outer god?"

Xia Chen raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. Pei Gui Hong gnashed his teeth in frustration, recalling the humiliation he received.

In the crowd, Long Baiqi, in a black hooded robe, narrowed his eyes as well. He also sacrificed his divinity when he heard that Long Hao's soul entered the Karma River, and his grandfather returned to the saint realm. The name came up in his vision, but he wasn't strong enough to pry into his background.

Everybody in the throne room murmured, as they had never heard of the term "Outer God" before.

"What is an outer god? Is he someone from a higher realm?" Dong Huang asked.

Nazzeck stepped out of the crowd and stood on the red carpet. He gazed at Dong Huang and explained.

"Outer Gods or otherworlders are beings from a parallel universe, who possess the power of Dao Laws similar to sages like me. Some came to our universe by accident while some infiltrated us willingly to interfere with our fates. This person, Fu Tong, has invaded our universe with a purpose. One of the Lu Clan's members that you warned me about… what was his name?"

"Lu Liekong."

"Yes. Lu Liekong. That person is possessed by the soul of an otherworlder. He is also an outer god."

"…Wow."

Dong Huang was relieved that he managed to drive away Lu Liekong in time. Half of him was also terrified by their existence.

"So, what are they here for?"

Nazzeck around and pointed at Xia Chen and Pei Gui Hong. His gas face moved, as though he was sneering at the two.

"Their lives."

"Huh?" Xia Chen's eyes widened. "Why me? What did I do to him?"

Nazzeck was blunt. He exposed Xia Chen's motive on the spot.

"I also divined your karma. You are planning to kill my descendant and steal his bloodline. When you complete your bloodline, you'll steal everybody's skills and cultivation for your own growth. You are planning to enslave the universe!"

"WHAT?!"

All the crowd turned to Xia Chen. The Xia Clan's representatives, however, grabbed their weapons and glared at the gas man.

"Ha! To be honest, this Fu Tong only cares for the second princess and his wives. Unfortunately, he also hates you two with a passion. He knows you and reads you like a book. He also won't stop until both Pei Gui Hong and Xia Chen are completely erased from this universe."

Dong Huang found the situation amusing. He asked.

"That's not related to us, isn't it? Why should we get involved with him?"

Nazzeck smirked and snapped his fingers. A peach of rebirth manifested in front of him. He then grabbed it and ate it in front of the crowd.

"He holds the secret of another universe in him. We get his soul, we will be able to cross universes and find his origins! That's why…"

Nazzeck waved his hands in an exaggerated manner and sneered at the two protagonists once more.

"I'm willing to forgive these two idiots and cooperate with them. Enemies of our enemy are our allies, don't you think so? It's not the time for us to fight with each other yet. Let's make peace and kill our common enemy first. How does that sound?"

Nazzeck didn't tell them that people from the saint realm and the sage realm would soon descend and purge them. Before that could happen, he plotted to pit them against Fu Tong first, while he secretly aimed for the secret of the other universe.

His true goal was not related to Dong Huang or the protagonists. He simply coveted Fu Tong's secrets.
