Secrets of the Universe

Chapter 216: Bless the great Shiva!

This instant of realization led to the silence between both sides l.

Suddenly, it became easy to hear the movement of the air around them.

After a while, Quinn took a bow and smiled, "Well, if it isn't my favourite customer. Come in. I have been expecting you."

He totally ignored the words he threw at the duo.

Worst of all, he even had the guts to claim to have been expecting them.

Jake sighed and went along. After all, he wasn't here for trouble.

Entering the forge, Jake had to admit that it was even more beautiful than it looked outside.

The walls of the building sparkled like delicately clean crystals and the uneven edges of their surfaces made everything feel more natural.

Jake and Kaleyx nodded their heads as they assessed the front room of the forge.

Looking at their expression, Quinn laughed out loud, "How is it? Good, right? Hahaha, all who had come said the same thing."

Not to talk of his tendency to boast, his habit of always assuming was annoying.

Nevertheless, Jake let it slide.

It wasn't every day he met such a refreshing man.

Walking up to the front desk, Jake asked, "How far are you with the items?"

"No need to worry. I'm don't done with the lesser items like the throwing weapons and the armour pieces. Possibly, I will be done with everything by the end of the day….that is if I don't sleep throughout the night," informed Quinn.

The craftsman then voiced out his doubts, "What are the two of you doing here? Could it be that you are planning to back out from the plan?"

"No," sighed Jake.

"Then, may I ask why you seek me?" politely smiled Quinn.

His smile fully conveyed how relieved he felt that they weren't backing out.

Facing his question, Jake didn't reply. Instead, he brought out the silver ruplix from his [Spatial Ring].

The appearance of the ring stunned Quinn.

His sharp eye examined the crystal that was given to him.

He patiently tried to decipher its identity from the high library of knowledge that existed in his brain.

A few seconds passed and Quinn's mouth soon draped, "I-I-Is that what I think it is?"

He brought the crystal directly in front of his eye to confirm.

If it was exactly what he thought, then a mere increase in his tone wasn't enough to express his disbelief.

He looked at the duo's impassive faces and realized that they were being serious, which also meant they knew what it was.

"A silver Ruplix!!! Bless the great Shiva!" exclaimed Quinn.

It seemed like the worth of a silver Ruplix was greater than Jake had imagined.

Quinn acted like he married the most beautiful woman in the world. This couldn't be more expressed especially when he drooled in the sight of the crystal

His eyes beamed at Jake, "The crystals were said to have gone extinct. The only ones left are those that have been kept for centuries, which are in the possession of wealthy families with a long legacy. Where did you possibly get something like this?"

Instantly, he realized he had gone overboard.

A craftsman should ask for personal information from his customer, except when absolutely required.

"Don't answer that," apologized Quinn.

He took a breath and claimed himself before he continued, "Since you brought the crystal to me, I assume that you have already consumed its sister crystal, the purple ruplix?"

Jake nodded in reply.

"Fantastic. I understand your plan for the crystal. With this in my hand, I'm sure of creating a terrific weapon. No, the greatest weapon I have ever made. It would be my life's work"

His boastful words hit every corner of the shop.

After a few rounds of imagining the creation of his hands, Quinn beckoned at them as he walked to a corner of the shop, "Come. Luckily, you came right on time as we forgot to collect your blood yesterday. Now that you are here personally, I wouldn't have to walk to the hotel just for that."

Joyously, Quinn tapped on the floor and revealed a staircase that led deep in the ground.

The moment the duo faced the staircase, hot wisps of air attacked them.

The hot condition of the air spoke well of what they should expect going inside.

The two of them thought, 'Below is the real forge.'

They followed Quinn's lead into the forge room below.

After walking through the stair, the duo was met with a room that felt the closest to the sun.

Even for warriors like them, the high temperature was unbearable. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it was as hot as the strongest attack of a cultivator with [Fire Element Affinity].

No, it was hotter than that. If a regular person was here, their skin would char gradually until it became fully black.

"Welcome to the Hephaestus Forge," smiled Quinn.

He put on his apron and goggles and grabbed his rather large hammer.

Still a bit happy, Quinn pointed at a section of the forge where some of the items were put on display.

In the section were multiple items, which were out on display, exactly as he said.

Some of them he could recognize like the leather part of his light armour.

They were delicately woven to the point that Jake could already imagine the outlook of the final product.

From the way they were made, it seemed like Jake had picked the right person for the job.

Even Kaleyx was impressed by his work.

They left him to do his job as they roamed about the forge.

To both of them, it was their first time being in a craftsman's forge. They wanted to see how it really operated.

The place was large at least. It was about half a kilometre long and wide.

This gave it ample space enough for the hot air to disperse before it became dangerous.

A few minutes later the duo found two bowls and remembered Quinn's previous words.

They gently picked it up so as not to disrupt the working process of the craftsman.

Using their sharp fingers, they fiercely sliced their skin and dripped their blood into the bowl.

The silver-blue blood of Jake revealed a mesmerizing light that beautified the surrounding.

Coupled with the metallic grey blood of Kaleyx, the surrounding glowed with all sorts of mixtures of the two sources of light.

This didn't go unnoticed by Quinn, but the latter quickly ignored it and focused back on his banging of metals.

If only he had known that the brilliant lights originated from the blood of his two customers, he would have saved himself the trouble of being immensely shocked when he sees them later.

Meanwhile, the duo made sure to fill the large bowl to the fullest.

They weren't worried about the repercussions on their bodies.

After the duo was done with the bowls, they left them where Quinn would be able to see them.

As the man was embroiled in his work, they lightly tapped him to signify they were leaving and left the forge.

.....

The roads were a bit busy when the duo roamed around. Everyone was busy hustling for the last-minute coins that would save their lives.

It was understandable.

Jake decided to use this spare time to check the sect. They had nothing to do so they might as well check everything out.

They walked for a while before spotting a large gate that blocked them from moving further.

"It seems it is the gates of the inner sect. Hmmm.. It is constructed the same way as the back gate," analyzed Kaleyx.

She placed her hands on it in an attempt to feel it.

Contrary to what the onlookers expected, the gates didn't sound out an alarm.

The gates were designed in that way. So, not releasing an alarm was quite strange.

They didn't know that Kaleyx's hands weren't truly intruding on the gates.

To the inanimate gate, it felt like a mother's touch, which stayed on it eternally.

Placing her hands on the gate, Kaleyx took a deep breath and simply felt everything.

In her mindscape, the makeup of the entire gate was revealed to her. Everything connected physically to the gate was also revealed.

With just one touch, she could decipher the secrets of anything.

This was a technique Jake and Kaleyx had come up with days ago.

It was called God's Touch.

The technique was a kind of sensory technique that focused on one's sense of touch. It could only activate when the supposed weakest sense is used, which increases the difficulty of the technique.

People normally thought of the sense of touch as irrelevant. They failed to understand that when trained to its maximum, the sense of touch could feel anything, even tiny indispensable particles in the air.

However, the dampened potential of the sense was caused by the destructive tendency of the sense.

If left uncovered for, one could kill himself just by feeling things.

That was why all the five senses were balanced and not used fully!

After the duo was done with walking about, they went back to their hotel….
