Moving through the corridor, Kiotho spotted his room. As he got closer, he could hear murmurs of conversation, probably his roommates.
"I never thought the letter was real, until the teacher showed up! Now that I'm here, I can confidently say I will become the smartest wizard!"
Then another retorted, "You can't! Because it's me who will be the most knowledgeable person in the world!"
"Guys, no need to fight. I believe you both can become knowledgeable," a third person tried to calm them down.
'So, two overconfident idiots and one goody-two-shoes who wants everyone to be peaceful and good~. Nah, I'm not associating with them.'
Opening the door, Kiotho decided to ignore them.
*Squeak!*
Hearing the door open, the trio looked at him before the goody asked, "Hello, I'm Nico Waterfall. And you?"
"Kiotho Luthosia," Kiotho replied shortly, glancing at the remaining two.
Feeling his gaze, the others started to introduce themselves. "I'm Greg Kelley. Be grateful to meet me, the future smartest wizard alive!"
The boy next to him glared before saying, "I'm Bennett Mighty. Unlike that fraud next to me, I'm a wizard destined to have the most wisdom of all."
Smiling awkwardly, Nico asked, "And you, Kiotho? Do you have any dreams? I, for example, want people to live happily, with nothing bad happening." He looked excitedly at Kiotho, waiting.
' I wonder what expression you'd have if I said that all I want is absolute power so I can kill your future wife, and you must smile genuinely or else I'd make you be raped by dogs and then change your body into your wife's appearance, forcing you to serve her enemy... Nah, I'm good, no need.'
"I don't have a dream, I have a goal." Hearing this, they looked at Kiotho with interest.
"And what is this goal?" asked Greg.
"That's unnecessary for you to know. Also, I'm going to study, so please keep quiet." After replying, he moved toward his bed and grabbed a book on transformation to study.
"Such a boomer~. Still, I'm sure it's nothing greater than me. After all, what's better than being the smartest wizard?"

Kiotho, having finished reading more books, looked around. The room had grown dark, and his roommates were already sleeping.
"Based on my experience, it's around 03:00 or so."
Standing from the bed, he moved toward his robe and placed it over his clothes, then headed to the door.
Opening it slowly, he stepped out. Seeing no one in the common room, he moved toward the next door.
'Will there be teachers patrolling? Or did they go to sleep today since it's the first day of school?' Kiotho wondered, looking at the long, dark corridor.
'Probably they don't patrol today, even if the punishment isn't that bad. Some points or maybe detention.' Remembering the path, Kiotho sped up.
Arriving at the library doors, he pulled the handle. It's locked. Probably some magic was added too. Nothing I can do about the magic, but I can use a spell to open the door.
Pulling out his wand, Kiotho mentally cast, 'Alohomora!' The lock exploded, opening the door.
'Oh well, not my fault I didn't fully test the spell, ehe~.' Going inside, Kiotho closed the door and placed something hard under it, making it impossible for anyone to open.
'With this, I'll know if someone comes here. They'll first pull the door, and if it doesn't budge, they'll either look for the culprit or see what I placed and remove it. Either way, I'll be informed a few seconds before they come in.'
With his back slightly secured, Kiotho moved through the book sections, finally arriving at the Forbidden one. 'I need some books from here. Afterward, it will be harder to get them, so I'm rushing on the first day.'
Giving another 'Alohomora' the door opened this time without an explosion. He started searching for books on 'Legilimency,' 'Rituals,' and other topics.
Having found everything, he knew he couldn't copy them, so it would be obvious someone had taken the books. Understanding he had nowhere to hide them, Kiotho took the books to the Room of Requirement.
Asking for a room only he and Anasthasia could access, he left the books there before returning to his room. It was already around 06:00, meaning he'd have a maximum of 2 hours of sleep.
