Chapter 45: SS 45: Training for the Holy War
When everything was complete, Kaiser's thought-form returned to his body.
The power carried by the thought-form began to merge with his true self.
"This mission didn't yield much in terms of luck."
"But the Six Eyes were an unexpected gain."
In the Libra Temple's Weapon Sanctuary, Kaiser slowly opened his golden eyes.
As eyes bearing divine blood and divinity, he realized they could no longer be called the Six Eyes.
Divine Sight seemed more fitting.
There was still a gap between thought-form and body.
While there was no fundamental increase in power, the combination of these eyes with divine blood and divinity elevated Kaiser's combat prowess to a new level.
The gains were substantial.
"I should study domains now."
Kaiser closed his eyes again.
Domain techniques weren't absent among Saints.
The most iconic and renowned belonged to Virgo.
Whether it was Asmita in the Lost Canvas era, Shijima in Next Dimension, Shaka in Saint Seiya, or Fudo in Omega, they were all top-tier Golden Saints of their time.
Though the Virgo Saint of Saga and Shion's era remained unnamed, Kaiser, as a transmigrator, knew their caliber.
Through Virgo's unique training methods, they could continuously build their cosmos.
Then, in an instant, burn it to its peak, unleashing an attack-and-defense-integrated battle formation.
The Tenbu Horin!
This was Virgo's exclusive technique, immensely powerful.
If pulled into its array, one either needed an overwhelmingly superior cosmos to crush it outright or, like Saga, Shura, and Camus in the Saint Seiya era, unleash the Athena Exclamation to shatter it with raw power.
For a peer-level opponent in a one-on-one fight, breaking the Tenbu Horin was incredibly difficult.
This was why Virgo Saints were consistently formidable.
Mastering the Tenbu Horin, their ultimate technique, made them nearly invincible among peers, if not outright unmatched.
In the Saint Seiya era, Shaka's Tenbu Horin appeared twice.
The first time, bolstered by Athena's cosmos, it gave Ikki a chance for a mutual takedown, but Shaka emerged unscathed.
Had Shaka not contacted Mu to save Ikki, Ikki would have perished in another dimension.
The second was during the Holy War of the Saint Seiya era.
Saga, Shura, and Camus, as the vanguard, stormed the Twelve Temples.
In Virgo's Sala Garden, Shaka nearly wiped them out.
A single Tenbu Horin left the trio powerless.
Without the Athena Exclamation, they would have lost.
After all, the three had been dead for over a year, while Shaka had continued training, reaching the peak of the seventh sense, on the cusp of the eighth.
Though only a year's gap, it was enough for Shaka to outclass them.
Such was the power of Virgo's domain.
The Tenbu Horin was essentially their domain.
And its hallmark was guaranteed hits!
"What defines Libra?"
"Weapons?"
Kaiser suddenly thought of Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon.
"It's not impossible…"
"With Divine Sight, my vision is entirely feasible."
Kaiser felt the Gate of Babylon was a perfect domain for him.
As a Libra Saint, he had trained to become a weapon master to wield Libra's arsenal.
He could command those weapons like extensions of himself.
Within a domain, weapons solidified by cosmos could be used.
And since those weapons were formed from cosmos, they could be detonated at will.
With Divine Sight, once he adapted to its power, he could manipulate his cosmos at an atomic level with exceptional precision.
Combined with the power of divinity and divine blood, the weapons he created might rival divine artifacts.
This would be a tremendous asset.
"Buzz!"
A golden cosmos began to radiate.
Through Divine Sight, Kaiser observed the sprawling web of his cosmos, attempting to solidify its form.
Under Divine Sight's control, he could clearly see the cosmos' trajectories and energy dispersion.
It began to operate as he envisioned.
"Hm?"
"What's that?"
Itia, observing Kaiser's cosmos, flashed a look of surprise.
His cosmos was solidifying.
"Interesting."
"He's gone further than I have."
A smile spread across Itia's face.
"Boom!"
The forming domain collapsed.
It shattered completely.
"A failure?"
Kaiser wasn't surprised. Success on the first try would have been the real shock.
Though Divine Sight aided his cosmos control, he hadn't yet mastered it fully.
It would take time to refine.
In a castle on the earth, an ancient fortress stood.
"The 108 Specters have nearly all awakened, haven't they?"
Before the Twin Gods, a chessboard lay. Hypnos, the God of Sleep, spoke.
"Yes, my lord."
"All 108 Specters have now awakened."
Pandora, holding her staff, replied respectfully.
"Has Lord Hades' reincarnation been found?"
This was the final piece of the Holy War.
"We've found him, but…"
"Due to the chaos on earth and the spread of the plague."
"Lord Hades' reincarnation seems to be in poor condition."
Pandora's expression was grim.
"Hm?"
Hypnos' chess piece shattered in his hand.
"No way to compensate for the loss?"
This piqued Hypnos' curiosity.
"Could it be because of the Hydra?"
"That creature's venom is indeed troublesome."
"Could it have truly affected Lord Hades' reincarnation?"
Thanatos, the God of Death, frowned.
They all knew of the Hydra's reappearance.
Rhadamanthus had reported it.
But the Sanctuary had already dealt with it.
They hadn't expected it to endanger Hades' reincarnation.
"Lord Hades' soul hasn't yet awakened."
"We needn't worry too much."
"Even if his reincarnation can't unleash much power."
"It will suffice for the Holy War."
Hypnos had prepared for the worst.
If needed, they could incite the Sea Realm.
"Pity we couldn't sway the Sanctuary's Pope, Itia, back then."
"Otherwise, we might have won this Holy War."
Hypnos sighed with regret.
Since the Mythological Era, the Underworld had never won a Holy War.
It was indeed frustrating.
