Chapter 15: Commotion Outside
"Anyway, even if we don't get out for a long period of time, it should be fine…" Amelia didn't care.
Riya looked at Amelia and nodded. She then decided to spend her time meditating on her bed, eating, and sleeping when there was nothing to do. Of course, she also needed to check on her farm every day.
…
Time passed swiftly.
Three days passed by without any disturbance. After all, most people had the thought that it was only temporary and some brave or ignorant ones didn't think that the mist was dangerous.
They just stepped outside and eventually landed on the hospital.
Even now, the death rate of these people were still increasing.
Ruby was the most diligent in collecting news and even said that she tried to capture a small part of the mist for personal experiment. The result was published in the school forum and submitted to her professor.
Perhaps, only someone like Ruby still had the mind to think about how to experiment and figure out the truth even now.
"I'm so bored." Amelia looked at the window and felt that the mist didn't decrease at all. "It's boring with nothing to do."
"You can try to learn how to cook." Riya looked at Amelia with amusement.
Amelia's expression changed and she shook her head. "Every ingredient is very precious. I can't possibly waste food by learning to cook."
Riya only nodded.
Anyway, she kept on replenishing the food inside the fridge but Amelia didn't realize it all. This little princess was usually pampered at home and not exactly an attentive person.
Bang! Bang!
There was a commotion outside and Riya frowned.
"Who is it?" Amelia was also vigilant. She didn't dare to open the door at all for the past few days because she was afraid the mist would come inside and infect them all. The news outside was still raging on and the country was still trying to figure out how to deal with it.
Riya moved to the table and silently wrote a talisman. Common talisman barely needed effort to write and soon, a 1000 kg talisman was made.
This was a talisman used to increase the weight of any items. This way, an item that was originally only 1 kg could be increased to 1000 kg without changing the structure.
Unfortunately, at common rank, this was a consumable items and once it was used on one item, it couldn't be used for others. But for Riya, this was enough to deal with the people outside.
She moved to the door and pasted it while looking through the hole.
"Mel, this is me, Valeria. Do you still have any food left?"
Riya had reached the door and looked outside. She could see Valeria and her roommate standing there and turned to look at Amelia. Valeria is Amelia's cousin, but their relationship was not very good.
Valeria is staying on the third floor in this dormitory.
"Even if I have food, I have no obligation to share it with you." Amelia sneered. "Go down and buy it in the supermarket instead."
"The stores are all closed." Valeria was feeling resentful. Because of the mist, no one in the canteen was open nor there was any store opened. Everyone was afraid of getting infected and chose to stay at home for the time being.
She was hungry but she didn't stock up a lot of food before the mist come.
"We're all cousins, why aren't you willing to help me?" Valeria actually wanted to ask her sister, Victoria. But Victoria was not in the dormitory, so she changed her target to her cousin.
"Sorry, I only have one cousin whose name is Victoria," Amelia replied without mercy.
In this regards, she didn't care about what the Jones Family was thinking and would not accept others claiming to be her relatives. This Valeria was one of them whom Amelia didn't like and would not bother to be polite.
"You! Do you want me to report to the Jones Family…"
"Just report. Anyway, why don't you go back home instead?" Amelia sneered. "Don't say that you have no money. A rich lady like you should have a lot of money. Just a week ago, I see you posting about buying another bag."
Valeria nearly vomited when she heard that.
Her roommate pushed Valeria's sleeve. "Then let's try going back. We can't destroy the door."
Bang!
Valeria was angry and kicked the door. But the moment the kick was delivered, she felt immense pain instead.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
