Rita's Unseen Destiny.

Chapter 38: Rayan's Confession.

"We shall find her," Carlson said, trying to reassure himself. "We just need to keep looking."

But as the night wore on, the silence between Samuel and Carlson grew thicker. Samuel's secret was a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode. And Rayan's loyalty was torn between his friend and his dangerous obsession with stessy.

The search would continue, but the web of secrets and lies threatened to ensnare them all.

Samuel's eyes blazed with anger as he confronted Rayan. "How could you betray Carlson like that? He trusted you!"

Rayan's eyes dropped, shame. Faced. " I am sorry, Samuel. I didn't have a choice. My mother is sick, and I need money for her medical bills. Stessy offered me a deal I couldn't refuse."

Samuel's expression turned incredulous. " Your mother is sick? And you didn't tell Carlson? He just gave you a new contract!"

Rayan nodded, tears welling up in his eyes. " I knew, I knew I was going to tell him, but I didn't want to burden him. And then Stessy approached me, and I felt like I had no other option."

Samuel's anger boiled over. " You are blaming your mother's illness for your betrayal? That's cowardly? And what about Rita? She is in danger because of you!"

Rayan's face crumpled. I know, Samuel. I am so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. Please forgive me."

Samuel's voice was icy. " Forgive you? You have put Rita's life at risk, and you have betrayed Carlson's trust. I will never forgive you for this, Rayan, never."

Rayan's body shook with sobs, but Samuel turned away, his heart heavy with sorrow and anger. He knew that their friendship was over and that Rayan's actions would have devastating consequences.

Samuel's words hung in the air like a challenge, and Rayan knew he had to face the consequences of his actions. He took a deep breath and tried to compose himself, but the damage was done.

"You are right Samuel," Rayan said, his voice barely above a whisper." I was weak and selfish. I let my own problems cloud my judgment, and now Rita's is in danger. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I have to make things right."

Samuel turned back to him, his expression unyielding. " How do you plan to do that?"

Rayan's eyes looked into Samuel's. I will do whatever it takes to help you find Rita and bring her home safely. I will cooperate fully with the investigation and make sure stessy pays for what she has done."

Samuel's gaze searched Rayan's face, looking for any sign of deception. But all he saw was determination and remorse.

"Alright," Samuel finally. Let's get to work. We have a lot of ground to cover. And every minute counts."

Together, the two men set out to track down stessy and rescue Rita, their differences temporarily set aside in the face of a common goal. But the tension between them was palpable, and Samuel knew that their friendship would never be the same again.

Rayan picks his phone and calls stessy in the presence of Samuel so that stessy may tell him the truth about where Rita was kept in hiding. As Stessy's phone rang on the other line. Stessy picked up the phone and said hello, Rayan;"what's the big deal right now?"

Rayan's eyes locked onto Stessy's next words, his expression convincing. "Listen, stessy, I know we are on the opposite site here, but I want to make a deal with you."

Stessy raised an eyebrow, intrigued. " What kind of deal?"

Rayan leaned in, his voice low. I will help you get away with Rita, but only if you tell me where she is. I need to know you are not bluffing."

Stessy's smile grew wider. " Ah, Rayan. You are so predictable. I knew you would come crawling back. "

Rayan's face remained neutral, but inside, he was triumphant. He knew Samuel was listening in on their conversation, and this was all part of the plan.

"Where is she, stessy?" Rayan asked again, his voice firm.

Stessy leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. She is in the old warehouse on the fifth and main floor. But don't think you can double -cross me, Rayan. I have a plan in place."

Rayan nodded, his heart racing with excitement. He knew Samuel had heard everything, and how they had the upper hand.

"Thank you, stessy," Rayan said, his voice dripping with sincerity. "You won't regret this."

Stessy's laughter echoed through the line, and Rayan knew that they were right where they wanted her. He ended the call, his eyes meeting Samuel's in a triumphant glance.

Let's move, "Samuel said, his voice firm. We have Rita's location, and we are not going to let Stessy get away with this."

Together, they set out to rescue Rita, their plan in motion. But Stessy was unpredictable, and they knew they had to be prepared for anything.

Carlson, Samuel and Rayan arrive at the warehouse accompanied by the police team. As they entered, they were met with a sight that made their hearts race. Rita was lying on the floor, surrounded by the men who had been working with stessy. But it was Rita's condition that made Carlson's eyes widen in horror. She was pale, her skin clammy, and her body shaking with fever.

The police quickly moved in, arresting the men and reading them their rights.

At that moment, Carlson moved direct to Rita and called out "Rita!", his voice shaking with emotions. He rushed to her side, kneeling down beside her. "Rita, can you hear me?"

But Rita didn't respond. She lay there, unconscious, her chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. Carson's eyes filled with tears as he took in her condition. He gently shook her shoulder, trying to arouse her.

"Rita, please wake up. It's me Carlson. I am here for you. You have to stay strong, for yourself and the baby."

But Rita didn't stir. Carlson's heart raced with fear as he realized the gravity of the situation. He quickly pulled out his phone and dialed nine-one-one.

"Hello, emergency services? We need an ambulance, right away. We have a pregnant mother here who is unconscious and feverish. Please hurry!"
