Rise of the Omnimage

Interlude - Seraph

She was tired. She had dark circles under her eyes like how she did before the attacks, yet she couldn't stop except for short periods of time. The others who could heal did the best they could, but they couldn't do what she could. In the last months she had her life completely uprooted and destroyed.

Exhausted as she was, she kept going in order to keep her son safe. The more guild members she kept between monsters and these new thralls as they have been called the better for all.

When her system initialized she laughed at how dumb it was. It was something her husband would talk about. She had no idea what he would talk about, but he was always excited about it.

"Brittanie! We have another one beyond us." A nurse stuck her head in the break room. With a breath she got to her feet and followed after.

The man before her had a gash in his torso going from collarbone to navel. He needed a the use of one of her most powerful skills to live.

Seraphic rewind activated and the wound began to flow in reverse until it eventually vanished. Her AP was cut down by a third.

She used to go patient to patient helping all, but now that more had healing paths, they could share the work load and keep people alive with these damn rifts.

Her wrist vibrated and she looked down. Her shift was over for the day. Collecting her things she left the hospital with her usual security team. The thrall had taken a very unusual interest in her, but the wardens were not having it so they assigned a security team and provided for her and her son. She was taken home and as she entered the door she heard the little feet come running. "Momma! Look what I made! Ky exclaimed holding what looked like a clay tablet handprint of his little hand. She could help but smile. His joy was infectious. "Can I get a hug and kiss?" She asked picking him up. He leaned forward putting his forehead to her lips and then leaned into her.

"Any issues?" Brittanie asked her baby sitter for Ky. "No ma'am. He was a model citizen per usual." She replied.

"He did talk about his dad and wanted to see the pictures more today." She said.

Brittanie nodded. They all missed Sorin. She had hope.

Seraphic gaze activated and her eyes glowed golden and she had an overlay of him. She saw him doing many things usually always fighting some form or another. For the first few months he was covered in injuries and hurting. He was now wielding fire in terrifying amounts the likes that could wipe out the rifts.

She smiled letting the vision go seeing he was OK and looked to be doing security for some bimbo.
