Rise of the Harem King

Chapter 164: Before leaving…

Luna finally woke up, her eyes slowly opening as the afternoon light spilled into the room through the open window.

She blinked a few times, confused. She frowned as she looked around, this wasn't the temple, nor the room where she had fucked Davi so intensely. Was this… Amelia's house?

"Ugh…?" she muttered, slowly sitting up in bed.

Her head was still a little foggy, and she didn't remember being sent back with Inanna's powers. In fact, she barely remembered Inanna even showing up and trying to wake her.

Naturally, she also had no idea how she had ended up in that bed. She had forgotten how she had dragged herself to the first bed she found.

Her sleep had been truly heavy.

She thought for a moment, the last memories she had were of her body trembling with a devastating orgasm.

"Where could Davi be?" she wondered with a sigh.

Luna wasn't stupid, so she quickly assumed they had been sent back. She recognized the inside of Amelia's house and supposed that Davi had gone out without her.

At first, she considered going to Enki, or maybe calling Davi, but the growl of her own stomach interrupted her thoughts.

While Davi had been recovering, she had worked hard to take care of him. On top of that, they had spent more than a day fucking nonstop: naturally, she was hungry.

Luna decided to head to the kitchen to make something to eat. Nothing fancy, just some eggs, bread, and whatever she could find in the fridge.

"Sorry for taking things without permission," she murmured to herself, but with the intention of saying those words later to Amelia, the owner of the house.

A few minutes later, eating an improvised sandwich and still with her face creased from sleep, she grabbed her phone and sent a message in the newly created harem group:

She mentioned she was back and asked if any of them knew where Davi was.

From what the boy himself had told her, he had returned to Enki to get another necklace like the one she had given him once, the one that allowed him to store a spell.

Naturally, when he returned, the boy explained to Sophia a little bit about what was happening, and she explained it to the others.

They all knew it was a matter of time until he returned, but the complete lack of warning irritated them. In particular, Ember was the most irritated by it.

Luna, on the other hand, didn't care much about it. She was never the type of person who paid much attention to these details.

It was probably because of her as a friend for so long that Davi also became someone who didn't worry much about it. He knew he would see them at some point, and when he saw them, he would tell them he was back.

The result was that Ember invited all the girls in the group to ambush him when he finally left Ange's lab.

Luna agreed to go because she had nothing better to do, Lara would naturally be there to accompany her friend, and Sophia wouldn't want to be left out. Alexia didn't say anything in the group, but it was likely she would participate because it seemed fun.

With that, Morrigan was the only one left, who couldn't go because she was busy with her job.

And that's how Davi found himself surrounded by five of his girlfriends.

"Why didn't you tell us you were back?" Ember snapped, placing her hands on her hips and leaning forward. "I was worried, hmph!" She huffed, glaring off to the side.

Davi looked at the fiery redhead with surprise, not quite understanding why she was so upset. To him, it seemed like a non-issue.

"I don't know… I forgot," he mumbled, shrugging and scratching the back of his neck, as if wondering why this was being taken so seriously.

His nonchalance only fueled Ember's irritation, and her face flushed red with frustration as she unleashed another outburst.

Davi just shrugged again, thinking they were overreacting, but he was saved by Lara's diplomatic intervention.

"Anyway… what are those papers you're holding?" Lara asked, pointing at the stack still in his hands.

"Yeah, they look like official documents from Enki's research division," Luna added, stepping closer, her eyes now sharp with interest.

"I'm not sure," Davi admitted, shrugging again. "Ange just handed them to me out of nowhere, saying we're going on some research mission… or something like that."

The smiles on Luna's and Alexia's faces vanished almost simultaneously. They were familiar enough with the research division's formalities to know what this meant.

"Let me see those," Alexia said quickly, snatching the documents from his hands before he could think twice.

Luna was already at her side, peering over her shoulder with narrowed eyes.

"You're part of a research project?" Sophia asked, her curiosity piqued. After all, she still knew very little about Davi.

"Kind of… I guess," Davi replied with a sigh, before briefly explaining the type of work he did with Ange.

Ember, still with her arms crossed, had calmed down enough to ask about what had happened during the fight. When she learned that Davi had acquired yet another "sex slave," a mix of emotions swirled within her, but she decided not to dwell on it.

Lara, meanwhile, stayed silent, but her body betrayed more than she intended. Her hardened nipples pressed subtly against the fabric of her blouse, and a faint flush crept up her skin. She didn't say a word, but her mind was racing with provocative images.

But most of them already knew the gist of the story. Luna had made sure to tell them everything in detail: Inanna's appearance, the explanation about the seal, and the imminent end of their civilization.

Even so, none of them seemed especially nervous. They trusted Davi completely. They knew he would handle everything. What they needed was to continue supporting him and to become strong enough to fight by his side.

In the middle of the conversation, Luna stepped slightly away from the papers and raised her voice, interrupting everyone:

"Guys, these documents aren't just about research. It says here that this mission is going to last two months... two whole months in a dungeon, with Ange."

Silence fell immediately.

Davi blinked, surprised. "Two months?"

"So..." Sophia crossed her arms in a way that emphasized her ample breasts, her gaze sharp. "You just got back and you're already leaving again."

"It's not like it's my choice..."

"You could refuse, you know?" Alexia commented with a sigh.

"I wouldn't recommend it; this seems really important," Lara chimed in, remembering that Morrigan had mentioned something about it to her.

Luna nodded in agreement; after reading the papers, she knew it would be useful for the future. Besides, spending two months inside the dungeon was a good way to train.

"But anyway... if you really want to leave, you need to take your leave exam," Alexia stated. "And you only have five days."

"Leave exam?" Davi asked, confused.

"It's a theoretical test," Alexia explained. "We take it when we're going to be absent for a long time. Basically, it's to prove you already know the material for the period, so you don't have to repeat it later."

"And if I fail?"

"You don't need to worry; you're very smart," Luna commented with an admiring look.

"Besides, the test isn't very difficult," Alexia said. "What really worries me is whether Ange scheduled a time for you to take the test? It's usually hard to book these things in advance."

Davi swallowed hard. "Probably not..." he admitted. What were the chances she had booked it?

"More importantly," Ember interrupted. "If you're going to be away for two months, you'd better take good care of us in these five days you have left."

Lara nodded timidly in agreement; her pussy already missed him. Luna and Alexia also agreed.

"In that case, how about we all stay at my house? I can prepare a fun surprise," Sophia suggested, inviting everyone to her mansion.
