Rise of the Harem King

Chapter 154: Condition

"Plese, bet your life on me!" Davi asked with confidence.

Inanna let out a soft chuckle, her eyes narrowing with amusement. "You're a bold one, aren't you, boy?" Then she grinned. "Well… lucky for you, I'm pretty bold myself."

"Still... I won't gamble my life on someone unworthy. And even if I wanted to, I can't transfer my full power to you just yet. Your body can't hold so much power."

She snapped her fingers, and a small, transparent sphere materialized in front of them, floating gently in the air.

A soft rose-colored aura began to fill the transparent sphere, gradually rising until it reached about 30 to 40 percent of its volume.

"To begin with, for your body to withstand my power, you will need the help of other women. A single human cannot bear the power of the divine alone," she explained.

She went on to say that the human body had its limitations, and the only way to fully harness the power of a goddess was by using other humans as catalysts.

Moreover, unless the minds and souls of these people were in complete harmony, the transfer would be impossible.

Therefore, if Davi wanted to receive her power, he would need to find people capable of sharing that burden with him.

"As of now, you possess 35% of what is required."

"Wait, do I need to triple the amount, isn't it a bit too much," Davi exclaimed. He already had a lot of girlfriends.

Besides, the goddess said they needed to be in the perfect sink, so he doubted anyone would be enough.

"Hehe! Young ones like you shouldn't settle for so little, you know?" She teased with a slight smile but soon returned to a more serious expression. "That said, what matters isn't quantity, but quality."

In short, the more powerful a person was, the more divine power they could receive.

Additionally, the greater the synchronization between the people taking part in the ritual, the higher their collective capacity to absorb and wield that power would be.

"So, only if you manage to reach a level that fills this sphere will I agree to bet my life on you," she said with a playful grin.

Inanna didn't like being too serious, but she couldn't deny that her heart trembled slightly at the idea. Even if her conditions were met, there was no guarantee of victory.

Still, she didn't let her worries show on her beautiful face. Instead, she masked them with a perverted smile.

"To put it simply, what I mean is…" she whispered seductively, "if you meet the conditions, you can add me to your harem and have everything that's mine."

The best way the Goddess of Creation and Fertility knew to transfer her power was, of course, through sex.

"Naturally, that means my body will be all yours," she said with a lewd gaze, her hands provocatively teasing her enormous breasts.

"So, I'm counting on you," she appeared in front of the man, pressing her massive breasts against his chest.

"But there's still one problem we need to deal with."

With a snap of her fingers, she changed the surroundings once more. This time, the scene revealed the deepest floor of the dungeon. There, they could see the seal that kept the Demon Queen imprisoned.

They could also see the energy already fiercely leaking from the seal, which looked like it could break at any moment.

"Don't worry," Inanna remarked with a calm smile, noticing the concern in their hearts. "Like I said, the seal won't fully break for decades yet."

"That said, the effects of its weakening have already started reaching you…" she sighed.

The images shifted, revealing a scene not far from the seal, a barren stretch of cracked earth where two massive creatures trudged forward, their thunderous footsteps shaking the ground with each step.

One had a body shaped like a hunched gorilla, covered in mottled, leathery skin, with arms so long they dragged across the dirt, claws gouging deep trenches into the soil.

Its head resembled something between a bull and a serpent, with twisted horns jutting backward and a mouth full of jagged teeth that moved constantly, even when silent.

The other was taller, more slender. Its limbs elongated and uneven, giving it a lurching gait. Bony protrusions jutted out from its shoulders and spine like broken wings, and a single glowing eye pulsed in the center of its face, casting an eerie red light ahead of them.

One of them let out a low, rumbling groan, prompting the other to respond with a high-pitched roar. The exchange sounded strange and undeniably aggressive, but something about their body language didn't seem hostile.

In fact, it was unsettling in a completely different way.

Davi watched closely, his brow furrowed. He suspected, correctly, that they weren't just making noise or preparing to fight.

They were talking.

"These guys, are they strong?" Amelia asked, but the fear in her face made clear what she thought about it.

"Unfortunely, yes, as strong as the one you have defeated, human warrior," Inanna said. "I don't think there will be more coming in the next year, but…"

"If we can't deal with them, there won't even be time to try meeting your demands," Davi said, clenching his fists in frustration.

Inanna looked down, offering no response. But Amelia didn't seem particularly worried, her gaze remained cold and calculating.

She had considered asking for help from other institutions like Enki, but that option felt unlikely. Besides, revealing everything to the world was out of the question.

Not only would it cause widespread panic, it would also paint a massive target on Davi's back, making him a highly valuable asset.

So the real question was: could Enki, with its current power, handle two monsters of that magnitude?

Well, if all the strongest professors joined forces, the answer was certainly yes.

The problem, however, was more political than physical. Even though Amelia had managed to significantly boost her authority after the Amanda incident, there was still a risk of unrest, or even rebellion, from professors and other powerful figures associated with Enki.

That said, now wasn't the time to be cautious or hold back because of risk.

"Don't worry," she finally said, her voice calm but firm. "It's a teacher's job to make sure her students can have the time to learn and develop."
