Rise of The Abandoned Husband

Chapter 980 A Power Beyond Saints

The figure floated in mid-air, looking like both a fairy untouched by earthly concerns and a demon from the depths of hell.

"It's...it's you!"

When Iris Darren saw the figure, his pupils went wide and his body shook like a leaf.

"Huh? Li...Little Watson?" I couldn't help but stare with wide eyes.

I tried getting up to greet Watson, but my body had zero strength left.

"Saron, help me out here!" I shouted to Saron, panic creeping into my voice.

But Saron stayed quiet, like he'd zonked out completely.

"Saron?" I called again, but still got nothing.

I clenched my teeth and used every bit of energy I had left to yell toward Watson.

But the "Watson" floating up there didn't even glance my way. She just stared down at Iris Darren like she was looking at a bug.

Iris Darren's face went white as a sheet, his whole body shaking nonstop.

Maybe it was terror or something else, but his legs went weak just like mine had, and he couldn't get up at all!

"How...how are you still breathing..." Iris Darren stammered through trembling lips.

Watson said nothing, but the crushing pressure radiating from her made everyone feel like prey facing a predator.

Iris Darren tried getting to his feet several times but found his legs wouldn't obey him.

He dropped to his knees and shook like crazy, saying, "I...I messed up, please don't hurt me... don't hurt me...."

Hearing this, everyone went dead silent.

Iris Darren was actually begging on his knees?

Who the hell was that woman floating up there?

"I was wrong. Please don't kill me..." Actual tears started streaming down Iris Darren's face.

He stayed on his knees, head pressed to the dirt, not daring to look up.

"I had no clue you were still alive. The Immortal Slaying Sect is history. Please just let me go..." Iris Darren sobbed out loud.

Without saying a single word, Watson raised her hand, and dozens of white bones crumbled to dust in seconds!

Then Watson's hands moved slowly through the air, like she was working some mysterious technique.

A few moments later, those light pillars started breaking apart!

One, two, three...all eight light pillars vanished completely!

Seeing this, I couldn't help but frown. "Saron, didn't you say this technique couldn't be broken? Looks pretty broken to me."

But Saron still stayed silent, not answering anything I yelled, like he'd fallen into some deep sleep.

Right now, Iris Darren was still on his knees, trembling like crazy, not daring to lift his head.

Even the smallest breeze made Iris Darren shake all over.

After finishing her work, the cold stare from Watson up in the air shifted to Iris Darren.

Just one look completely destroyed whatever was left of Iris Darren's sanity.

Like a complete lunatic, he started running and screaming while he ran, "She's still alive, she's alive, hahaha... she's alive..."

Who knew if he'd really lost it or was just using the chaos to escape.

Either way, Iris Darren vanished without a trace, and his white bone army got completely wiped out too.

In a heartbeat, dozens of mighty realm cultivator bodies had turned to nothing.

I looked up at Watson floating in the sky, my eyes wide and jaw hanging open.

I'd nearly killed myself cutting off two arms, while she just lifted her hand and those mighty realm bodies got crushed instantly?

Not just me, but everyone there was blown away by this!

That kind of power was beyond even a Martial Saint!

After wrapping all this up, Watson slowly turned around, like she was about to take off.

I gritted my teeth and used every ounce of strength I had left to shout, "Watson!"

That yell practically drained every bit of energy I had.

Little Watson up in the air paused for a moment.

But after just half a second, she turned and left, disappearing like she was never there.

I collapsed on the ground, my head spinning with mixed-up feelings.

Was she really Watson, or that legendary masked woman?

If it was Watson, why wouldn't she talk to me? If it wasn't, why did she stop for that half second?

"Mason Raymond!"

Zora Solomon ran over to me and helped me up.

"How are you doing?" Zora Solomon asked.

I shook my head and said, "I'm okay."

"Who was that person just now?" Elena Green couldn't help but ask.

She was obviously talking about Watson.

"If I'm right, she should be that little girl who used to be with you," Zora Solomon said seriously.

"Those two corpses we ran into last time seemed to get handled by her."

I nodded, but at this point, I couldn't be sure if she was still Watson, and I didn't know if she even remembered me anymore.

"Thank god it's over now," everyone there let out a huge sigh of relief.

Seeing those light pillars disappear, the weight pressing down on everyone's hearts finally lifted.

Some people cheered, some people's legs gave out, and some just wanted to go home.

I motioned to Zora Solomon and the others, saying, "Take me back to Nine Pinnacles Mountain first..."

The group agreed and helped me up Nine Pinnacles Mountain.

When we got to the mountain, I was so wiped out and couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, so I crashed into a deep sleep.

——

After this whole mess, the Capital City Martial Arts Association's reputation took an even bigger hit.

If Star hadn't stepped in at the right time to save face for the Capital City Martial Arts Association, there would've been serious public backlash.

In the office.

Garcia Coleman watched the video of what happened and couldn't help but scrunch up his brow.

The masked woman in the video gave him a dangerous vibe.

Most importantly, this woman knew Mason Raymond.

"Young Master," right then, Barret walked in.

"How'd it go? Did you dig up anything?" Garcia Coleman asked urgently.

Barret nodded. He put the files in front of Garcia Coleman and said, "Her outfit looks almost exactly like some legendary figure. Word is...the Immortal Slaying Sect got destroyed by her hands."

"There are tons of stories about her. Here are the related files; you can check them out."

Garcia Coleman quickly grabbed the files and started reading carefully.

The files had loads of records about the masked woman, and the more Garcia Coleman read, the more freaked out he got.
