RISE OF EROS

CHAPTER 811

It must be understood that after the war a thousand years ago on the lost continent against the fallen god, where various gods, spirits, and divine beasts descended, the world had not witnessed the rise of a god.

Obviously, this had much to do with the restrictions imposed by the gods due to this world's tendency to steer promising figures towards chaos and madness, but even so, someone could ascend.

The closest case was Chrhono, although his case was quite special and doesn't technically count. Still, someone could ascend as a god, just extremely difficult. Even so, Andrew had now ascended by right, so everyone felt it, at least those who were powerful enough to sense Andrew's mighty divinity even from a distance.

Even in the divine realm, the rise of the new god was felt, and many paid attention to the newborn, but they didn't give it much thought. There are countless worlds with countless candidates for godhood, so while it is something momentous, it's not something the gods paid too much attention to.

Furthermore, it's known that a newly ascended god is still weak and will only focus on managing the planet under his care for a couple of millennia before he can truly join the ranks of the consecrated gods.

Although achieving divinity surprised many, being a momentary event, it didn't greatly affect the life of the planet; however, it did affect the fallen god within the seal, as there was now an added danger.

He knew only divine beings represented a threat to him, and even if only one would be no match, that was at his peak, not in the state he was in right now. The essence of the fallen god is sealed in the vicinity of the city of Comers, but that is only the essence of the fallen god, not his entire being.

While it is true that upon achieving divinity, a being transcends the flesh of their body, that does not mean their body is irrelevant. What this means is that your body acquires immortality, and that does not mean you cannot die, but rather that you cease to be perishable.

In short, gods cannot die of old age, but that does not mean they do not need a body. While they can live without one, this creates a decrease in their being, because no matter what being you are, you need a soul and a body.

This is precisely why the gods divided the body and imprisoned the soul of the fallen god. Why didn't they kill him then? Why leave a hidden danger? These are the questions many may ask, and the truth is quite absurd: there must always be necessary evils.

The gods aren't necessarily good, but they lean toward goodness or, at worst, are neutral. But good cannot exist without evil, so not all dangers are eliminated, as that creates more problems in the long run.

Although devastating and epic, the truth is that the battle a thousand years ago wasn't all that extraordinary. Several gods and spirits certainly died, but in the eyes of the gods, that battle was relatively small.

For the inhabitants of this world, it's an apocalyptic battle, but for beings as powerful as the gods, it wasn't. In the eyes of the gods, the fallen god isn't really a threat that needs to be eliminated.

Many don't know this, but only newly ascended or young gods, spirits, and divine beasts participated in that battle, which is why they were overwhelmed by the fallen god. If an experienced god had descended, the battle wouldn't have lasted a minute.

Just as warriors in this world have power levels, the gods are equal. A god like Andrew, who has just attained divinity, or Chrono, a divine beast, is truly like ordinary citizens among the gods.

To mortals, they are unattainable beings, but to the gods, they are newborns, inexperienced, and weak. This is precisely why the gods didn't eliminate the fallen god a thousand years ago.

It's not that they couldn't eliminate him; it's that they didn't want to. If there are no threats and dangers, the gods become complacent, and that's why dangers are never eliminated.

There must always be danger, evil, destruction, chaos, and death for life, creation, good, relief, and security to exist. One cannot exist without the other, so that's why the gods left this threat latent.

This showed that the fallen god wasn't a threat, but rather a test. In this case, it was for Andrew as the lord of this world. But if he failed, he would become a test for the young and inexperienced gods of the divine realm.

Just like what happened a thousand years ago, the divine realm would send its newly ascended, younger gods to take charge of the matter, gain experience, and possibly even reseal the fallen god. They wouldn't kill him.

In short, they would use the fallen god as a whetstone for their younger generations. Obviously, Andrew and the others didn't know this. Not even Fluffy, Terra, Aqua, and her sisters knew this, despite having lived in the divine realm.

Technically, they aren't much different from Andrew currently in the divine realm. They certainly possess much more knowledge, but they don't have the high status to know these truths.

If they knew this, how could Fluffy not know there was a fallen god on this planet? Why didn't Terra and the others stay to protect the seal or return to the divine realm? If Terra and the others had known that this was all a test, they wouldn't have stayed and would have left this world to its fate, as their presence there was irrelevant.

Unfortunately, only high-ranking gods know this information, so they're in the current situation. Despite all this, there was nothing they could do; they were already here, and they had to face the problem.

Ironically, the fallen god was the most affected. Not only was he shattered and sealed, but unlike Andrew and the others, he had no idea that he was merely a pawn of the gods he thought he had surpassed.

Regardless, the fallen god, who felt threatened by the birth of a god, began to despair. If he were one, he wouldn't be afraid, but he already knew there were Chrono, Terra, and the other spirits.

Although he had faced a more powerful force a thousand years ago, the circumstances were different. He had had time to create his army of Abysmals and possessed a body, so he was powerful and unrestrained.

However, now he had no body, so his strength had been reduced by half, and he was alone. Wanting to escape, the fallen god began to attack the seal, but it was all in vain. Although enraged, the fallen god quickly regained his composure and began preparing for the eventual battle.

He knew they would attack him soon, that there would be several of them, that he had no allies or subordinates, and that he was weak. With all this, he had to prepare and be in the best possible condition to win. He couldn't waste his energy trying to break a seal that remains rock-solid.

Then, unusually, everything calmed down. The fallen god regulated his temper and waited for the battle, but it wasn't as immediate as he thought. Andrew had forced the last seal irregularly, so he needed time to adjust.

Andrew spent almost a year in this process, which seems like a long time, but for beings of his power, it really wasn't. After stabilizing himself, Andrew rested and relaxed with his loved ones.

The impending battle was no longer in the distant future, so Andrew wanted to spend one last moment of peace and quiet before embarking on the battle that would decide the future of this world and its inhabitants.

Crhono and the others didn't deny him this space, as they too decided to do the same. Crhono had to hand over leadership of the dragons, because win or lose, he wouldn't return.

If they lost, he would die, and if they won, he would ascend as a divine beast who had achieved divinity. He remained in this world with special coincidences and reasons; he is very different from Andrew.

Andrew is the god in charge of this world, so staying in this world isn't difficult for him. Andrew has no restrictions; he can do whatever he wants in this place—well, not yet, but nothing will force him to leave like Crhono, despite being much stronger and much more of a god.

Andrew played with his young children, trained with the elders, taught them the wisdom of a god of eroticism and sex, had fun with his wives and concubines, and even took one last tour of the world to find some delicious hidden girls.

With everything that needed to be done, Andrew, Crhono, Fluffy, Terra, and Aqua gathered to confront the sealed fallen god. With serious expressions, they approached the sealed region and resolutely entered the separated space.

They had spent years, even centuries, fighting the fallen god, trying to prevent his return, but this was the first time they had seen him face to face. They knew of his existence, power, and cruelty, but only now were they able to put a face to the enemy.

In front of them was the fallen god, waiting for them with a malicious and bloodthirsty expression. In appearance, he was no different than an abyssal. A completely black body, savage red eyes, a pair of strange wings on his back, claws instead of fingers, and sharp teeth like those of a predator.

His powerful presence pressed upon them; his bloodlust was unquenchable, and his chaotic divinity, reeking of death, filled the atmosphere. He was a repugnant presence to Andrew and the others, but they stood their ground nonetheless.
