Riley Ross

Chapter 149: The Website?

"Wait a minute… you people own the actual airport?! Here I was thinking, finally, this family rents something, but it turns out you own this shit, too?! Aw, hell naw!"

Yes. The Baby Crew was currently in the largest airport in the country. And yes, the Ross family owned it too.

"What you gonna say next, you own banks too?"

Yes. Several.

"And here I thought you were one of them people who didn't care about flaunting their wealth and shit, it turns out you ain't flaunting enough, girl!"

"I'm… really sorry about my girl, Mrs. Ross."

The parents were there in the hangar too, and Bella's mother, in particular, had her head down as she watched her daughter run around the airstrip like some sort of clown. Diana, however, only chuckled, shaking her head as she held the hand of Bella's mother.

"It's alright, Ms. Tanisha. And please, just call me Diana," she said, smiling at Tanisha. She then turned to look at the other parents, and Pauline's parents were the complete opposite of Tanisha's.

Both of them had large cameras hanging from their necks and were already wearing colorful shirts. They haven't even left the country, and yet their cameras were already almost full.

Pauline was the one who had her head down.

"Oh, my god…" she whispered, covering her face as she stuck close to Hannah. "I'm… I'm really sorry about my parents."

"Huh? What for?" Hannah blinked, raising an eyebrow as she looked at Pauline's parents. "They look like they're having fun. Pauline, girl. Relax. You're going on a vacation. Anyway, Bell! Why didn't your brother come?!"

"What?!" Bella, who was now outside the hangar and practically at the other end of the airstrip, screamed as she ran back to the others. "What you say?!"

"Your brother! Benjamin!"

"What?!"

"Your—"

"He had other things to do, dear."

"O-oh… Mrs. Jackson." Hannah quickly lowered her voice as Tanisha approached from behind.

"I swear, the priority of that child has been messed up," she said, sighing while shaking her head. "Bless him, but I think the devil has beholden him. He has these friends, and he is on that weird list about villains. I swear, my son is not a villain."

"We… we know that, Mrs. Jackson." Hannah awkwardly chuckled. She glanced at Diana, who pretended not to see her. "Ah! Your things, let my brother bring them on the plane."

"No, don't bother." Tanisha laughed, waving her hand before lifting up the two large suitcases she brought with them.

"Bell should really be helping you with that. Wait, where's Riley, anyway? Riley!"

"It's fine." Tanisha shook her head. "You are already treating us to a trip on the other side of the world, dear. The least I can do is carry my own bags. No, let me carry your bags too."

"Oh, no. It—"

Tanisha snatched Hannah's backpack from behind her before she could refuse. She couldn't even grab it back as Tanisha started heading to the plane, going up the stairs while carrying two giant suitcases along with Hannah's backpack.

When Pauline's parents saw her going inside the plane, they waved their hands at Diana first before following Tanisha inside.

"Honey, we're going in first!" Pauline's father said, waving his hand at Pauline as his words practically caused the entire hangar to shake from the echo of his voice.

Pauline once again covered her face, but then sighed and shook her head as she looked at Hannah.

"They… don't really have much time for themselves. Thank you for inviting them as well, Hannah."

"I told you, relax. Ah! See? Riley and the others are there."

Hannah pointed to the tail of the plane, where Riley seemed to be explaining something to V and Tomoe. V was sticking close to Riley, while Tomoe was slightly behind them and just nodding from time to time.

"How… is she?" Pauline asked. "She hasn't really said anything since the incident."

"She's… surprisingly chill. I mean, it's not good to gossip, but…" Hannah leaned closer to Pauline. "You know about what his stepdad did to her, right?"

"H-hmm." Pauline nodded, lightly biting her lip as her eyebrows lowered by themselves. "He was a monster."

"Yeah. Anyway, let's… not treat her like glass. She didn't suffer all those years… she survived it. She's the strongest of us all. Let's just treat her normally."

"Hmm."

"Anyway, that V…" Hannah narrowed her eyes on the trio. "Isn't she also like twelve? It's obvious she has a crush on Riley."

"You just said you ain't one to gossip, girl." Bella suddenly joined in on the conversation, finally back in the hangar after traveling the entire length of the airstrip.

"What the—how'd you even hear that?"

"The metal, duh." Bella bobbed her head to the side. "And yo. I saw a motorcycle pulling up. I think it might be Gracey and her mom."

"Seriously, why does she have the coolest mom?" Hannah shook her head. She was about to say something else, but the roar of a motorcycle covered the entire hangar. The group quickly turned their heads at the noise, only to see the back passenger of the bike waving at them.

Gracey didn't even wait for the bike to stop, flying out from the seat with a large bag on her back and almost causing her mother to lose control of the motorcycle.

Lorraine only shook her head under the helmet, stopping the motorcycle as she watched her daughter land in front of Hannah and the others.

Gracey's dress slightly fluttered, and she quickly removed her bag and let it drop to the ground before removing her helmet.

"Sorry, we're a little late," she said, her short blonde hair now falling onto the side of her cheeks. Her arms were slender, and so was her neck—her collarbones well-defined, and her spaghetti straps complemented that.

…This was definitely not how they expected Gracey to look.

"This bitch…" Bella gasped, her eyes scanning Gracey from head to toe. "...I told you she cleaned up well! Girl, why you even dressing up as a dude when you look this good? You sure you ain't lesbian?"

"I'm not," Gracey said, no longer lowering the tone of her voice as she chuckled. She tucked her hair under her ear, slightly fixing it as she placed her helmet on the bag. "And I told you, I have reasons."

"Heh. Anyway, you look good. And also…" Bella smirked, her head turning slowly toward Hannah. "...Pay up."

"Fuck," Hannah whispered. "I thought you were going to dress like a man. Also, Bell's right. Honestly, you can be a model."

"T-they're right," Pauline whispered, nodding as she also stared at Gracey.

"Guys, calm down." Gracey breathed out, her nose almost flaring as she tried to stop herself laughing at the compliments. "I already know I'm beautiful."

"There she is." Hannah sighed, shaking her head as Gracey started posing and spinning in her dress. Her smile quickly returned, however, as she saw Lorraine approach.

"Mrs. Gray, hello."

"Please, just call me Lorraine," Lorraine quickly said, waving her hands as she smiled at Hannah and the others. Her smile turned into a snarl, however, as her eyes landed on her daughter.

"What did I say about jumping from the bike, Grace? I just changed the bearing."

"S-sorry, Mother." Gracey awkwardly chuckled. "Not gonna happen again."

"Good, because I deducted the last one from your allowance."

"Wait, what?!"

"That's right. And…" Lorraine smiled at Hannah and the others, "...It's really a pleasure meeting all of you. Gracey's told me so much. I'm… just going to leave you guys and introduce myself to the other parents, okay?"

"Of course, Lorraine." Hannah nodded, watching as Lorraine waved at them again while heading to the plane. Hannah stared at her leather jacket and Kevlar jeans, gasping as she saw how fit Lorriane was.

"Why's your mom so cool?"

"Where'd you think I got it from?" Gracey raised an eyebrow, scoffing before she looked around. "Where's your mom? Are they all inside? Wait, don't tell me we're the last—shit. We are… Last to the plane is gay!"

And with that, Gracey grabbed her bag and helmet and flew toward the plane without another word.

"What the…" Hannah raised an eyebrow, watching as Gracey disappeared into the plane. "...What is she, a child? She—"

Before she could finish her words, Bella suddenly rushed toward the plane.

"What in the?! You're already gay!" Hannah rushed to follow her.

"That gay and this gay are different!" Bella screamed. The two left Pauline, who didn't know what to do at all. But when she saw V running from the tail of the plane, she gasped and also started to run.

Riley, who was still explaining some things about the plane, blinked a couple of times as he glanced at Tomoe.

"I suppose one of us is gay, Tomoe?"

"I… believe that was only a popular joke among friends."

"Hmm. Then, do you want to go ahead of me? They are not my friends, after all. It would benefit you more than me."

Tomoe didn't really say anything, but she almost stepped ahead of Riley before deciding to just walk beside him.

"I finished it, by the way…" Tomoe whispered.

"...The Website."
