Chapter 153: Jialuo Demon King_2
He picked up the map and examined it carefully, asking about some parts he could not understand.
After understanding the entire meaning of the map, he memorized it, and then he and Duan Gujin took Elixir Pills outside and rested to recover their Primordial Power.
An hour later, they had fully recovered all their Primordial Power.
They were able to recover their Primordial Power so quickly due to the Elixir Pills they had taken.
Just after the elder was slain by Lie Lei, another Netherworld Sect elder learned of the former elder's death through the extinguishing of his Soul Lamp.
The other elder frowned deeply; he immediately used the unique methods of the Netherworld Sect to ascertain the general location of where the former elder had been annihilated.
Soon, the elder learned that the deceased had been killed by Demon creatures inside the artifact site.
"I must report this news to those above! There are only two of us elders here, definitely not enough to deal with the astonishing number of undead zombies! I request more auxiliary forces!"
Over these days of surveillance, the two elders guarding the site had become aware of incredibly powerful undead zombies appearing within the artifact site.
They dared not venture deep into the site to challenge those fearsome undead zombies, knowing full well that if they and all the Disciples stationed here were to charge in, they would meet their demise.
Their original plan was to watch and wait. Urged insistently by those above, they sought every excuse to delay, as they had no desire to venture into the heart of the site and take risks.
Now that an elder had perished tragically within the site, the surviving elder naturally thought to request additional forces from those higher up.
Once their Primordial Power was restored, Duan Gujin led Lie Lei towards the unexplored inner parts of the artifact site.
Having had the wish to find another part of the Netherworld Treasure Book, Duan Gujin would naturally not miss this great opportunity now that it presented itself.
They passed through the Space Crystal Wall and sneaked into the interior of the site.
This time, although they moved slowly, they avoided the zombies and the Fake Qilin, progressing towards the depths of the site.
Half an hour after they entered the site, Han Zhanyi, the Sect Master of the Netherworld Sect, arrived with ten elders whose Cultivation was at the Martial Sect Realm.
Even though Han Zhanyi had been aware of the astonishing number of undead zombies within the Netherworld Dark Clan's artifact site, he had been occupied in his sect with the purge of Dong Tianheng's remaining forces. Additionally, when he had entered the site previously, he knew that there were strong powers of Rule Power inside that seriously suppressed his Cultivation, only allowing him to exert the strength of a Ninth Layer Martial Monarch.
Therefore, Han Zhanyi did not focus his attention on the artifact site.
He was clear in his mind that unless he could find a way to break the Array inside the site, even if he led all the Netherworld Sect Disciples inside, they would likely be annihilated to the last man.
The group Han Zhanyi now led was all the top experts he could mobilize. Should he lose those ten elders, he would fall into defeat in his struggle against Dong Tianheng.
Upon arriving outside the site and speaking to the surviving elder, Han Zhanyi decided he should figure out a way to deal with the difficult issue posed by the interior Array of the site.
"Now let's see if these Flying Insects are of any use!"
Han Zhanyi hurriedly fished out something resembling a beehive from the Spiritual Beast Bag at his waist and quickly blew into a flute beside him.
Moments later, ten pitch-black Flying Insects flew out from the beehive.
Guided by Han Zhanyi's directions, the insects promptly passed through the Space Crystal Wall in front of them and flew into the interior of the artifact site.
Only Han Zhanyi, the Sect Master of the Netherworld Sect, was privileged to possess these Flying Insects; they were not ordinary insects, but Treasures of the Netherworld Sect.
Only when the Sect Master of the Netherworld Sect personally took action would these Flying Insects follow orders.
Images kept emerging in Han Zhanyi's mind, one after the other.
These images were transmitted back to him by the Flying Insects that had entered the site, allowing him to remotely survey the situation inside.
"Bang!"
However, in less than 15 minutes, Han Zhanyi saw one of the Flying Insects explode in mid-air.
"Not good!"
Han Zhanyi's face drastically shifted, filled with alarm, as he immediately realized there must be some force within the artifact site capable of causing those Flying Insects to explode.
He wanted to recall the insects, but it was too late; his mind soon received a series of images.
The images all depicted his Flying Insects spontaneously exploding in mid-air as they flew.
"We're doomed!"
In the end, Han Zhanyi confirmed that all the Flying Insects he had just released were wiped out.
"I hate this!"
Han Zhanyi had thought that those Insects would be extremely useful here, yet he never anticipated they would all perish.
There were still more than ten Flying Insects inside his beehive, and the loss he had just suffered accounted for half of them.
Han Zhanyi quickly stowed the beehive back into the Spiritual Beast Bag, not wanting to suffer any further loss of Insects.
"What should I do now?"
Han Zhanyi pondered outside the site, refraining from any rash actions.
Meanwhile, inside the artifact site, Duan Gujin and Lie Lei continued to advance to deeper regions, encountering hordes of undying zombie armies along their path.
