Reverse War Surpass Immortal

Chapter 101: Fatal Weakness (First Update)

Although the Corpse Eating Poison Man had escaped, Duan Gujin didn't feel any disappointment. He knew the strength of the Corpse Eating Poison Man was still very formidable, and ordinary generals or soldiers simply couldn't stop him.

Duan Gujin was now contemplating how he should deal with the Corpse Eating Poison Man.

"What a headache, I didn't expect a Cheng Yaojin to emerge from halfway!"

Duan Gujin took a deep breath as he pondered how to handle the Corpse Eating Poison Man.

But no matter how he thought about it, he couldn't come up with a way to deal with the Corpse Eating Poison Man.

After escaping, once the injuries of the Corpse Eating Poison Man were completely healed, he returned to the outer edges of the Imperial Mausoleum.

Looking forward at the Imperial Mausoleum, a chilling glint burst forth in the eyes of the Corpse Eating Poison Man.

"I want revenge!"

Thinking of how all his plans were ruined by Duan Gujin, the Corpse Eating Poison Man naturally harbored deep-seated hatred for him.

"It seems like now I can only resort to using them!"

The Corpse Eating Poison Man gritted his teeth and charged into some nearby villages.

He forced some powder from his body down the throats of the villagers near him, and then he took out a bottle from his body.

Inside the bottle were variously colored worms that were still wriggling.

Then he sprinkled some of the powder onto the bodies of those villagers, allowing the worms to gnaw at the villagers' skin.

The villagers let out unbearably piercing screams as they writhed on the ground, trying to shake off the worms, but it was all to no avail.

As time ticked by, soon there was nothing left of the villagers' bodies but a pile of bones, eaten away by the worms.

And those worms, originally the size of fingernails, had swelled to more than three times their initial size.

"Very good! Very good!"

Using the same method, the Corpse Eating Poison Man allowed the worms to devour many more nearby villagers, and soon the worms grew to the size of adult men's arms.

"Hahaha!"

A ferocious laughter burst forth from the mouth of the Corpse Eating Poison Man.

A day later, the worms grew a pair of wings on their backs, enabling them to fly in the air.

The Corpse Eating Poison Man then forced more than a dozen villagers to walk toward the Imperial Mausoleum. As the villagers were about to reach the mausoleum, their bodies were triggered by the Array and exploded.

Soon, the people at the Imperial Mausoleum saw a large swarm of Flying Insects approaching.

Upon seeing those Flying Insects, everyone at the Imperial Mausoleum gasped in horror, their bodies covered in goosebumps.

"What is that?"

"So disgusting!"

Those present immediately prepared for battle, ready to fend off the approaching Flying Insects.

The deafening sound of bells and drums quickly resonated throughout the entire Imperial Mausoleum, soon attracting the attention of Duan Gujin and the Seventh Imperial Uncle.

Duan Gujin raced out of the Imperial Mausoleum and began to inquire amongst the generals.

He quickly learned that a group of terrifying Flying Insects had appeared at the front.

Sensing the aura released by those Flying Insects, Duan Gujin deduced that these Flying Insects must be related to the Corpse Eating Poison Man.

Duan Gujin quickly inhaled sharply as his Divine Sense locked on the Flying Insects.

"Buzz buzz buzz!"

A moment later, the Flying Insects dispersed in all directions.

As the Flying Insects dispersed, their numbers simultaneously began to rapidly increase.

This scene struck fear into the hearts of everyone present, filling them with incomparable terror.

If there had been fewer flying insects, they might have had a chance to fight back, but the dense, swarming army of insects made them feel utterly powerless.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

In less than 15 minutes, the flying insects rapidly expanded in size.

They emitted an extremely foul stench that nearly made everyone on the scene faint.

Duan Gujin locked onto the flying insects with his Divine Sense, and gasped in shock.

"These flying insects are rapidly increasing in strength; each one is now as powerful as someone at the Innate First Level! With so many of them, if they attack at once, our side will surely suffer heavy losses!"

Duan Gujin certainly didn't want his officers or soldiers to fight those insects to the death – it just wasn't worth it!

Once people die, they can't be revived, but there seems to be an endless supply of those flying insects!

Duan Gujin's mind raced, but after thinking for a while, he still had no impression of these insects.

He could only guess that the flying insects were created by the Corpse Eating Poison Man, and he didn't know how to deal with them.

"Who could have guessed!"

It was then Duan Gujin realized he had underestimated the abilities of the Corpse Eating Poison Man. With that thought, he took the initiative to charge and confront the flying insects.

At that moment, he heard Seventh Imperial Uncle's inquiry.

Duan Gujin immediately responded: "You have your men enter the Array to ensure their safety, while I'll go and confront them! I'll take this opportunity to see if these flying insects have any weaknesses!"

Duan Gujin knew it wasn't enough to rely on sheer numbers to deal with the flying insects.

With a thought, Duan Gujin first considered using fire to attack the flying insects.

He quickly mobilized his Primordial Power, then condensed it in his palms to form a Fireball.

He locked onto a large cluster of flying insects, and then threw the Fireball in his hand towards them.

With a loud boom, the cluster of flying insects, unable to dodge in time, were hit by the Fireball launched by Duan Gujin.

Initially, Duan Gujin thought his Fireball could eliminate some of the flying insects.

However, in the next moment, something shocking happened; he saw that after being hit by the Fireball, not only did the flying insects not explode, but their bodies actually swelled even more.

Seeing this, Duan Gujin realized that these flying insects must have the ability to absorb energy.

To confirm his suspicion, he hurriedly fired several Fireballs at the insects.

Continuous booming sounds echoed without end.

Moments later, he saw that the flying insects hit by the Fireballs quickly swelled up even more.

"Indeed!"

Duan Gujin took a deep breath. With a thought, he quickly drew a Longsword from his storage ring and charged at the bodies of the flying insects.

"Whoosh!"

Soon, the Longsword in his hand split one of the flying insects in half.

Upon seeing that the insect split in half only struggled a few times before it died, Duan Gujin knew he had found their fatal weakness.

"Don't use Magic Attacks on these flying insects, use weapons to slay them!"

Duan Gujin shouted loudly.

The officers and soldiers in the Imperial Mausoleum all heard Duan Gujin's shouts and knew that he must have found the fatal weakness of the flying insects.

Thus, many officers and soldiers rushed out of the Array and used their Dark Weapons to kill the flying insects.

Seeing the flying insects actually being slain by their Dark Weapons, everyone was excited.
