Rejected Luna: Untamed Desire Of The Lycan Alpha

Chapter 348: Medium (II)

Really? She didn't have the time to bother with these people. If she didn't find Inez soon, then the lycan heir was going to lose his set the entire city on fire, and he would do it with pleasure. And if he did that, it was going to be a hell of a problem.

The last time something like this happened, she had to work twice as hard as she usually would have. If something similar to that happened, she was going to lose her peace for the next two decades. And do you have enough idea what kind of mess the Fates could bring if that happened?

She was better off without dealing with that, okay? The last time she got entangled in the mess, she ended up bribing the low-ranking gods for more than three hundred years. And when she meant bribing, she meant getting turned into a freaking hamster, being chased by a hundred-foot-long snake and falling off a really high cliff.

With a flick of her finger, she sent those guards down on their knees once again.

People stepped away from her when they saw that she was going crazy. Some of the ignorant ones went to look for someone who could control the current situation. Of course, they must be thinking that there was someone who could take control of the situation as if. Some of the onlookers had already clutched their pearls, like Tracy were morbidly attacking them all without a reason.

They really were quite judgmental when it came to witches, weren't they? There was no need for the harsh gazes of contempt. She wasn't even doing anything. Yet.

Walking over to the dungeon entrance, she reached out and sent the door flying when it had the audacity to ask for a passcode. Did she look like she had the patience to look for the passcode? The door crumpled as if it were made of aluminium foil. Once the door opened up for her, she descended. She took two steps at one time, impatience oozing through every pore of her body. One floor down, two more floors down… why the hell did these people make their prison so deep within the building? What kind of psychopaths were they holding within these cells?

She felt a deep buzz on her wrist, and a second later, the black owl following her spoke in an elegant voice, "You have five messages."

Oh, for the love of the gods.

She tapped on the screen of her phone and looked at the countless notifications that had appeared on her screen, but she ignored them all before taking a look at the latest messages that were sent to her.

[God of Chaos: Did you really barge into the shifters' territory, Tristana?]

[Goddess of Magic: And here I thought grounding you was supposed to make you humble, Tristana.]

[God of Madness: Oooh, what fun. Do you want me to send you some drinks?]

[God of Strategy: This was really poorly executed. You could have asked me for some suggestions]

[Minion of God of Strategy: You are busy, my lady.]

These foolish gods and goddesses. Why don't they pay more attention to what was going on in their world instead of what she was doing?

As she scrolled past the new messages, more started to pop up.

[ God of Madness: OOOH! You are here, Tristana. How long has it been? An entire century? How can you leave your favourite god alone?]

[Goddess of Magic: You better keep your hands away from my disciple, Madness.]

[God Madness; And where is the fun in that?]

[ Fates: I told you all to wait! You are messing with the fates here.]

[Minion of Time: Goddess of Time says that all scars fade with time.]

Tracy rolled her eyes as she closed the messaging app and then turned to walk past the corridor, sending two more guards who came rushing in her direction. Her heart was bursting with anger, but who asked her to be the only bridge for the gods and the goddess in the human world? Being a Medium, this was her destiny, being badgered by the goddesses and the gods.

As soon as she left the app, the black owl sitting on her shoulder announced again, "You have forty-eight messages and three voicemails."

Damn it.

She wished she could throw this watch away, but there was no point. This app was tied to her very existence, so unless she died, this app was not going to leave her alone.

When she finally arrived at the floor where she could feel the tangled mess of the siren powers, Tracy frowned hard. Inez had used her powers, which was not a good thing. It seemed like she had pushed herself past her own limits. This was not good. Her siren was getting stronger and she might end up creating a really big trouble.

Tracy could already see countless buildings fallen on the streets, along with ambulances and police vehicles running around. If that happened—

No, that would rip her peace to shreds.

She couldn't allow that to happen. Her peace, her coffee and her bed—if those things were taken away from her, she would lose her mind.

She walked straight to the cell where Inez was locked up, but when she saw nothing but the corpse of a guard, she headed directly to the cell next to her. As soon as she glanced at the cell, she realised that there was something weird about the air. It was way too clean, like someone had deliberately erased their presence from the prison cell.

She narrowed her eyes and then dropped her gaze to the man who was staring up at her. "Where is she?" She demanded.

The man stared at her with confusion written in her eyes. "I am sorry, what are you trying to ask and about whom?"

"The two women who were locked up in this prison?" Tracy pointed at the cell next to the man's, and when the man smiled as if he was about to tease her, she narrowed her eyes and stated, "Unless you want to me to hang you upside down, you better not play any kind of games with me."
