Rejected Luna: Untamed Desire Of The Lycan Alpha

Chapter 346: Hoot Hoot?

Soon, another voice cut in. Tracy's bored and annoyed voice filled the car through the speakerphone. "I don't recall asking you, big bad wolves, to come with me. I told you that I can rescue Inez just fine, but you refused to stay behind. So be glad that I didn't leave you behind. Instead of being an ungrateful arsehole."

His beast grumbled in his head. He was not satisfied, but this was the best that they could do at the moment.

"How am I supposed to be grateful to you when nothing makes sense!" Killian snarled at the woman. He knew that she could be annoying, but he never thought that she could be this annoying.

"Which street did you just pass by?" The witch finally spoke after a long pause.

As if she had no idea that she was about to cross the very thin line that she wasn't supposed to cross. Honestly, this woman was about to drive him mad. Very mad, and that wasn't going to be a pretty sight.

He heard Finn respond for it was too hard for him to unclench his teeth at that very moment. "The Autumn street. If that exists."

"Okay, then you can turn right."

Everyone turned to look to their right and sucked in a breath when they saw a deep chasm.

Finn cleared his throat. "I know that you are angry with Kill, Tracy. But there is no need for you to send us to an early grave for that?"

"And what the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"That there is a deep fucking valley on the right! Do you want all of us to turn into meat patties?" Killian snapped, trying to reach for the phone, but he was pulled back by Ajax and Laxus before he could lose his freaking mind.

There was silence, and then the witch spoke after another very long pause. "I am sorry, but do you wolves know how to update your GPS apps? Because I think you all missed that very important lesson."

Killian slowly, very slowly, turned to look at Finn. "Did you not update this app?"

"We need to update it?" Finn turned and asked. The man was a borderline fine beta who could make any trespasser, enemy, and killer sing like an opera singer, but he was very bad… very bad when it came to technology.

Behind him, Ajax covered his face with his hands and threw his head back. "Don't tell me we have been wasting our time driving around in circles. I don't want to hear it."

"Of course you have to update the freaking app, you buffoon!" Killian bit down hard as he hurriedly tapped on the app and started to update it. From the speakerphone, Tracy's static voice filled the entire car again. "It seems like your kind did some work around here, cutting down trees and constructing another road to the south. I think that is why the confusion arose."

Of course it did.

It took three freaking minutes for the app to update, and Killian decided that he was going to buy Finn a new model. It was bad enough that the man was driving a tin pot of a car, but now even his phone was so old that it was about to become an antique. Three more minutes or torture. Another minute wasted meant that it was another minute Inez was with strangers who took her away for a crime that she didn't commit. He wondered how and in what condition Inez was at that very moment.

His throat closed up when he thought about the condition Inez might be in at that very moment.

The thought of Inez being hurt, scared or even worse made his chest feel like it was getting crushed.

Tracy chuckled. Her laughter echoed through the speaker. "I cannot believe that you all are considered apex predators of your kind when you cannot even run a simple app. No wonder the Moon Goddess blessed you with a really good nose; it was because she knew that you were going to be so lost without it."

"Just tell me where we need to go from here."

"Are you sure that is the tone you are going to use with me?"

"Are you going to tell me or not?"

"No."

"You fucking –"

"Stop losing your temper, Kill. I found the Draken street that she is speaking about. We will start driving there," Laxus spoke up before another quarrel broke out and before Killian could lose his temper with him, the man said, "Do you want to find Inez first or are you going to fight with this witch first?" Thinking about how Inez must be waiting for him, Killian pursed his lips and decided that he would first look for Inez and then deal with this witch.

They drove to Draken Street, which took them another hour, and upon arriving, Killian said to Finn, "Tell that infernal witch that she better tell us where we need to go from here or else I will–"

"Do nothing. You cannot do anything to me," Tracy chimed in with the same bored voice. "You can yell and scream as much as you want, but in the end, you need my help. It will be surprising if you can do anything against me. Anyway, I am on the move, and I have left a little messenger behind for you to follow. Since you all are so useless when it comes to following directions."

"Wait–" Killian called out, but the witch had already ended the call. The sound of dial tone filled the air inside the car, and Killian, who was an inch away from throwing the biggest tantrum of his life, reached out and whispered in Finn's ear. "Now, you tell me what we are going to do?"

"There is no need to be this angry," Finn raised his hands in the air and said to Killian, "Didn't Tracy say that she is sending someone? We just need to wait for a few more minutes…or maybe seconds?"

When Killian continued to stare at him, he offered him a sheepish smile.

Ajax peered out of the window of the car and muttered, "But I don't see anyone—"

Hoot hoot.

"Hoot Hoot?"
