Chapter 30: Epilogue
Alpha sighed. Things could not have gotten any worse over the past few weeks. First, five of his prizes escape with that meddling Deathsong, then while sending one of his expendables to go find it, escapes his grasp, FINALLY the Island that he was going to get part of gets placed under new management and the deal is off, and it was caused all by that SAME DEATHSONG!
Oh... once he gets his grasp on that Deathsong, the things he's going to do with him and his friends, all caused by the Deathsong's own talons... He hissed in delight, his tongue flicking in and out.
Right then, Alpha heard a strange whisper. New banished dragons for him to prey on? That would be good... But it was more like a calling. He was curious about it, so he followed. It led to a dark cave, but he kept going. He couldn't stop.
He finally reached some light. Alpha entered a cave with a glowing circle with weird symbols in it.
Hello, the one called Alpha.
"Who are you?! Come out now and coming into my grasp will be much easier..." he hissed, his stance in a defensive position.
Calm, Calm. We have a common enemy we both now have a deep passion for getting rid of him.
Alpha was a bit less tense, curious as to what this... thing considers a common enemy. "And who could that be?"
That Deathsong he ruined EVERYTHING, he also ruined everything for you, hasn't he? Also, no need to talk out loud when I hear your thoughts as clearly.
Hm... You're on the right track, but tell me how we could possibly get him for his deeds against us when I can't leave this Island and you don't even have a body I can see, nor have you given me your name!
It is simple, Alpha, if you accept me, I could not only amplify your powers but give you even more, maybe even permanent if you accept me as your leader...
Alpha was not one to accept dragons as his leader. HE was usually the one to make dragons accept him as their new leader. But... his hatred for that stupid Deathsong burned more than anything else.
So, do you take my offer?
...I do.
