Reincarnation of the strongest sword god-reincarnating once more

Chapter 103: Depths Of The Blood Refining Passage (2)

The Undead monster reacted to Feng's presence by executing an Advanced Footwork Combat Technique and striking at him with its glaive from a distance that kept the Blood Champion out of Feng's attack range.

Its speed and power were impressive, and Feng felt a significant pressure on his sword after blocking the Blood Champion's attack. The monster continued to impress Feng as they fought, using various Advanced Combat Techniques in an attempt to kill him while professionally wielding its weapon.

But that was all. The Blood Champion stood no chance and was quickly slain after Feng saw its moves.

Upon its death, though, aside from leaving behind a Level 50 Epic piece of equipment as it collapsed into a pile of bones, the Blood Champion had also dropped an ancient gold-rimmed book, as well as a blood-red floating orb above it.

System: Blood Refining Crystal has detected an evolution material. Do you wish to allow the Blood Refining Crystal to absorb the Blood Essence?

System: Blood Emperor's Armor had detected a replacement upgrade material – Blood Essence. Do you wish to allow Blood Emperor's Armor to absorb the Blood Essence?

Two system notifications sounded as the blood-red orb appeared, with Feng only being able to chose one of the options.

The development came as quite a surprise to Feng, not expecting this Great Lord would drop something that could not only further upgrade the very useful Blood Refining Crystal, but also serve as a replacement material for the Blood Emperor's Armor.

Feng hadn't really planned on upgrading the Blood Emperor's Armor to Legendary rank since the materials necessary for its upgrade were difficult to come by, requiring seven bottles of royal vampire blood.

It would require too much effort on his part to upgrade the Fragmented Legendary Chestplate, and not at all worth it considering Feng would most likely replace it anyway once he gets the Disintegration Armor, while doing it before he upgrades his tier would actually be detrimental if the Blood Emperor's Armor required him to be Tier 3 or above to equip afterward; as most Legendary items have such Tier Requirements.

However, after thinking about it for a minute, Feng still chose to let the Blood Emperor's Armor absorb the Blood Essence, thinking that this was a unique opportunity, while he could still obtain another top-tier Fragmented Legendary Chestplate later if it required him to be of a higher tier in order to equip once upgraded to Legendary rank.

As soon as Feng agreed, the blood-red orb floated towards him and merged with the chest armor he was wearing.

The Blood Emperor's Armor seemed to grow brighter for a moment, before settling down, with no apparent changes to its appearance or pressure, while Feng also didn't sense that anything of note had happened.

Feng then checked the Blood Emperor's Armor's Attribute Panel to see what absorbing the Blood Essence had accomplished.

A Legendary armor forged using the Blood Emperor's remaining blood. Due to severe damage the armor received during a great war between Gods, most of the Blood Emperor's Armor's power had been drained, and repairing it would require 7 bottles of Royal Vampire blood or 1,000 drops of Blood Essence. Royal Vampire blood required to repair Blood Emperor's Armor to Legendary rank (0/7)/ Blood Essence required to repair Blood Emperor's Armor to Legendary rank (1/1,000)

Feng understood the usage of Blood Essence to the Blood Emperor's Armor upon reading its description. Aside from slightly increasing the Fragmented Legendary Chestplate's Basic Attributes, the upgrade condition had also changed, allowing Feng to fix it into a Legendary piece of equipment by collecting one thousand of these Blood Essences and letting the Blood Emperor's Armor absorb them.

It seemed like a simple enough job since the Blood Essence drops from killing Blood Champions, and mostly likely from any of the Undead in the Blood Refining Passage that come after this section, so Feng decided to upgrade it to Legendary rank during his exploration of the Blood Refining Passage.

Feng then shifted his gaze to the ancient book that had dropped from the Great Lord, which greatly resembled the Solomon's Treasure that Feng had previously obtained after killing the first Blood Warrior. Different from the Ancient Document, though, this book had no intense aura around it nor did it radiate Divine Might, simply giving off a feeling of awe.

On its cover lay the words Solomon's Record.

Upon picking up the book, a system notification reached Feng.

System: You have discovered two parts of Solomon's Book. Do you wish to combine the fragments into Solomon's Book?

Agreeing to the prompt without hesitation, Feng witnessed Solomon's Treasure fly out of his bag while the one dropped by the Blood Champion flew up to meet it, the two books merging together to create a golden book of glory. Compared to this book, the immense aura around Solomon's Treasure seemed like nothing.

[Solomon's Book]

A record created by Solomon, the Ancient[4] God of Thunder. It contains the knowledge he left behind and is a testament to the Thunder God's power. Of the seven volumes of Solomon's Book, it currently contains only the Third Volume and the Sixth Volume.

Third Volume, Solomon's Record:

Contains a record of powerful skills. Mastering each consecutive skill will unlock the next, even more powerful record.

First Record: Tier 5 Skill, Worldly Purification. Learn?

Second Record: Unavailable (Master the First Record in order to unlock)

(The rest of the records are unavailable)

Sixth Volume, Solomon's Treasure:

An Ancient Document that allows one to access God's Domain's database and place an inquiry. (Uses remaining: 0)

Feng had read about Solomon's Book during his previous lives in libraries and gathered information banks, but aside from hearing about it from the system when he activated Solomon's Treasure in the previous and this timeline, he had never heard any other information concerning it.

Even after scouring this God's Domain for treasures and having access to other guilds' gains, and even in the Greater God's Domain, Feng hadn't come across anything else related to Solomon's Book.

Now, however, he had acquired another of the book's volumes from killing a Great Lord in the Blood Refining Passage. The discovery was a definite surprise.

Solomon's Book appeared to be a combination of books every type of book once it is in its complete form, having information to gain from reading it, the ability to learn skills from it, its own abilities, and an Ancient Document within it.

Once all of the volumes are put together, it will undoubtedly be an incredible item with value no less than Legendary ranked items, perhaps its total worth being even greater.

Looking through the description of the formed Solomon's Book, Feng found the Third Volume was a great source for powerful skills, and he immediately chose to learn Worldly Purification. He then went over to the Skill Tab on his System Menu to investigate his new skill.

Another surprising feature brought by the Solomon's Book was that unlike his other skills which were all grayed out and unavailable, Worldly Purification didn't seem to be affected by the Blood Refining Passage's restrictions and could still be used. Curious, Feng brought up its information.

[Worldly Purification]

Level 1 (Requires 300,000 EXP to upgrade to Level 2)

Cover your blade in purification power, doing 400% Holy damage and increasing your damage by 200% for one attack.

Cooldown: 4 minutes

The skills that came from Solomon's Record fell into the category of skills that one needed to improve by spending EXP and leveling them up. Meanwhile, the EXP Worldly Purification required to be levelled up was much greater than other skills on the same level.

It wasn't too big of an expenditure to Feng since he was already Level 99 and had plenty of extra EXP in his Levellume Capsules from the monsters he has killed, as well as from other sources, so he could rapidly level up Worldly Purification to a point that it would be of use to him.

Feng quickly brought it up to Level 9 and attempted to level it up again, but a system notification informed him that he had to master the Worldly Purification before he could promote it to Tier 1.

Not completely sure what it meant by mastering the skill, Feng's best guess was getting a high Completion Rate. The only question was how high it needed to be.

Slashing forward, a light grey light covered Feng's sword as he kept Worldly Purification's movement pattern, the Abyssal Blade cutting across the floor where only bones and rotten flesh of the Blood Champion remained, instantly disintegrating all of its remains. It was a fairly simple action and didn't take much effort for Feng to re-enact a Tier 0 skill.

System: Worldly Purification Completion Rate 98%, resulting in 142% of skill's effect.

"Does it need a 100% Completion Rate?" Despite him getting a Completion Rate of over 85%, at which point a player could use 100% of their skill's effect and could be said to have mastered the skill in its basic form, there was no indication that Feng could upgrade Worldly Purification; the system still telling him that he was required to first master the skill.

Since Worldly Purification was on cooldown at the moment, Feng went on with his journey, killing more Blood Champions that popped out of the walls and letting the Blood Emperor's Armor absorb more Blood Essences while waiting for the cooldown to end.

After defeating a few more Blood Champions Feng discovered that, similar to the Blood Energy points, not every Undead he killed dropped a Blood Essence, and they only appeared from some of the Great Lords while the rest simply dropped Level 50 Dark-Gold items.

Once he could use Worldly Purification again, Feng pulverized one of the Blood Champions attempting to attack him using an Advanced Combat Technique and achieved a Completion Rate of over 100%, causing Worldly Purification to instantly be upgraded into a Tier 1 skill.

Feng then spent even more EXP leveling it up to Tier 1 Level 9, at which point he repeated the pattern. The power of Worldly Purification greatly rose with each level up, and when Feng pushed it into Tier 2 after executing a Tier 1 Worldly Purification with a Completion Rate of over 100%, the Holy damage Feng did became 3,500%, the increase in all damage being 2,000%, and the skill's Attack Count was increased to four.

Midway while upgrading Worldly Purification through Tier 2, though, Feng ran out of EXP to invest into it, and could only grind these Undead monsters for more experience points.

The section he was in soon changed as well, a Grand Lord ranked Blood Hero appearing and striking at Feng with even more ferocity than the monsters before it. Its attributes were much higher, while the standards displayed by the Blood Heroes were greatly superior to the Blood Champions.

Even Feng could no longer take down the undead as easily, requiring several attacks in order to kill a Blood Hero due to their high HP, attributes, and combat standards. Sometimes being able to drag on the fight when the Grand Lords fought in groups of three to four.

Their drops weren't much more impressive than that of the Blood Champions, still dropping Level 50 Dark-Gold items and an occasional Epic item, while their Blood Essence drop rate wasn't any better than that of the Great Lords. Similarly to Blood Champions, Blood Heroes drop one Blood Essence, but the ones that originate from the Grand Lords were larger and contained more lifeforce, providing the Blood Emperor's Armor with three points towards Legendary rank with each blood-red orb.

When Feng reached the next region of the Blood Refining Passage, the difficulty of advancing significantly increased. A zombie with only a part of its face torn up, resulting in the skull being visible, charged at Feng, and actually used a Bronze Combat Technique.

[Blood King] (Undead, Mythic)

Level 50

HP 44,000,000/44,000,000

Bronze Combat Techniques were thought of as some of the strongest techniques in smaller spheres of God's Domain, being an extremely advanced form of fighting as usually even most Tier 3 NPCs couldn't grasp Bronze Combat Techniques. Yet, this monster, at this stage of the game, with its intelligence that although high for a Mythic monster considerably fell short when compared to NPCs, had actually used one.

But after blocking the attack and observing the Blood King for a while, Feng felt that something was off about it. He had previously noticed this as well among the other Undead monsters who had used Combat Techniques, but didn't think much of it at the time, only now truly paying attention to the phenomenon.

The techniques these monsters used felt nothing like when players or NPCs used Bronze Combat Technqiues or lower-ranked ones. Their execution didn't feel completely alive.

However, it wasn't as if they were pre-programmed to utilize the Bronze Combat Techniques since the monsters were indeed very intelligent, but not as if they were fully using them or being capable of using them either. It felt almost mechanical. Like these monsters were simply replicating a Bronze Combat Technique, all the while integrating them into the fight.

The odd combat with the Blood King made Feng feel off, and after a short battle, Feng eliminated it.

Even though his opponent was a Mythic monster, Feng was still capable of overwhelming it with attributes. After absorbing the Savitarian Carnation Bloodline and upgrading it, Feng's current Strength and Agility were only a bit less than that of a Superior Mythic monster's of the same level.

Hence, he could outclass the Blood King in both attributes and combat standards. Upon its death, the Mythic monster dropped an Epic item whose Level ranged between 50 and 100, along with a Blood Essence orb much larger and containing more Life Force than what the Blood Heroes had left behind upon death, counting as eight points of Blood Essence to Feng's Chestplate.

EXP was also very abundant from a Mythic monster and allowed Feng to bring Worldly Purification much closer to Tier 3.

As he continued deeper in, more Blood Kings appeared, beefing up Feng's stock of Epic items as each of the Mythic monsters dropped one or two of them, while quickly earning more Blood Essence and EXP along the way.

Though it did require a lot more effort on Feng's part to kill a Blood King, especially if two or more appeared at once since although his attributes were higher than theirs, it wasn't to the point that he could kill them with a few hits, not to mention that they could use Bronze Combat Techniques, and Feng needed to exert a certain amount of energy to defeat them.

He expended a considerable amount of Stamina and Concentration just fighting a few dozen Blood Kings and decided to consume a drop of Life Essence from the Blood Refining Stone, which had already formed several hundred drops by now.

With the kills though, he got much closer to upgrading the Blood Emperor's Armor to Legendary rank and managed to upgrade Worldly Purification to Tier 3 fairly quickly, even getting a few levels into Tier 3 as he traversed the Blood King region. Setting aside the difference in strength and difficulty and drops, the only difference that appeared at the section of Mythic Undead was that the corridor had gotten slightly wider, and now up to six monsters spawned at a time.

After Feng killed another group of six Blood Kings and proceeded forward, another change occurred as a singular zombie covered completely in flesh and armor appeared, the monster being a Superior Mythic ranked Undead.

It attacked Feng even more ferociously than any of the previous blood monsters, striking in tandem using one Bronze Combat Technique after another.

Feng showed not a smidget of his former brazen and reckless behavior which had been a plenty when he faced all of the other monsters in the Blood Refining Passage, instead cautiously parrying the Superior Mythic monster's attacks and neutralizing all of its efforts to kill him while landing strikes of his own on it.

Compared to the Blood Kings, this Blood Emperor[5] was many times stronger, with Feng's attributes being inferior to it. Without any of his skills, the most Feng could do was expertly defend against its attacks and slowly drain the Superior Mythic of its enormous HP.

Of course, he could use Advanced Bronze Combat Techniques, which greatly elevated his combat power above the Blood Emperor's along with his superior combat standards, to make up the difference, and he did occasionally strike the Superior Mythic Undead with a powerful attack using an Advanced Bronze Combat Technique and Wordly Purification when he saw an opening.

However, they consumed a lot of Stamina and Concentration, while Feng was fairly certain more Blood Emperors were afoot, so he didn't want to unnecessarily waste his energy on an opponent he could still easily beat without relying on Advanced Bronze Combat Techniques.

When Feng finally managed to take down the Blood Emperor over a dozen minutes later, it dropped a Fragmented Legendary piece of equipment and a giant blood-red orb that floated above its corpse, along with providing Feng with plenty of EXP.

Upon letting the Blood Emperor's Armor absorb the Blood Essence, it gained another twenty points from just one orb.

Killing these Superior Mythic Undead monsters was very profitable even if the effort needed was large and the fight quite time-consuming.

Each of the Blood Emperors Feng killed actually dropped a Fragmented Legendary item. Although not all of them were even average among Fragmented Legendary items, it was still astonishing. Normally, even if players killed five Superior Mythic monsters elsewhere, a Fragmented Legendary item wasn't guaranteed to drop.

This Blood Refining Passage was an absolute treasure trove for both items and training since the monsters here constantly increased in strength through a repetitive pattern and forced players to improve their combat standards in order to win. Though, it wasn't as easy to obtain spoils from it as Feng was making it out to be.

If players were asked to pick between large, powerful monsters with high attributes and HP, and a humanoid monster with weaker attributes and much less HP but higher combat standards, nearly every player would be the former without hesitation.

Even if a monster had a vast pool of HP and attributes outclassing their own, players could still fight against such monsters in one way or another by utilizing tactics and slowly draining their HP.

Against creatures like the Blood monsters in the Blood Refining Passage, however, players couldn't simply fight and outsmart their enemy, the monsters with small HP but high combat standards relying on their excellent techniques to fight being able to quickly kill them even with lesser attributes than their larger counterparts without players having a chance to properly combat them.

It was why NPCs were much stronger and more difficult to defeat than monsters. Players always preferred to fight dumber monsters that didn't have high combat standards.

Feng, however, was the exact opposite and would rather fight monsters like these than typical monsters that had too much HP to effectively drain. Fighting opponents who relied on combat standards and Combat Techniques, Feng could achieve victory much more easily thanks to his own combat standards far surpassing the monsters'.

Otherwise, if he were to be facing regular Superior Mythic monsters right now, Feng wouldn't stand a chance at killing them.

After all, even Tier 5 players couldn't easily kill Superior Mythic monsters under normal circumstances due to their high attributes and immense HP, let alone in a place like this where they could use neither their skills or Mana. If a regular Tier 5 player were to encounter a Superior Mythic monster of the same Level in such a situation, the player would be lucky to escape with their life.

Faced with these Superior Mythic monsters, though, as long as one's combat standards were high enough, one could still defeat them even with inferior attributes. Feng was doing just that, and was being rewarded for the incredible feat by each Blood Emperor dropping a Fragmented Legendary item, a thick Blood Essence, and lots of EXP.

However, even he was starting to struggle when faced with multiple Blood Emperors in this tight corridor. Their higher attributes put him in a dire predicament as Feng fought such opponents, while their combat standards and coordination with each other made the fight even more difficult.

The Undead monsters Feng had been killing employed loads of methods in order to defeat him, and all of them always used the walls of the Blood Refining Passage to run up them and surround Feng, attacking from all sides.

In a fight against multiple Superior Mythic monsters possessing higher attributes than himself, being capable of using Bronze Combat Techniques at a remarkable proficiency despite the techniques' oddity, and seamless coordination in their attempts to kill him, Feng was beginning to be pushed to his limits.

System: Blood Refining Crystal has detected an evolution material. Do you wish to allow the Blood Refining Crystal to absorb the Blood Essence?

System: Blood Emperor's Armor had detected an upgrade material – Blood Essence. Do you wish to allow Blood Emperor's Armor to absorb the Blood Essence?

As Feng fought a group of four Blood Emperors, he chipped away at their HP, mostly trying to focus on doing damage to them one at a time, but the Superior Mythic monsters were smart enough and didn't allow Feng's plans to succeed as they blocked him when one of their comrades got low, buying time for it to heal up.

After fighting for nearly twenty minutes Feng finally managed to take one of them down, the Blood Emperor turning into a corpse as it dropped a Fragmented Legendary item and a Blood Essence. Feng allowed the Blood Emperor's Armor subconsciously without paying much attention to the system notification as it popped up.

Out of nowhere, however, as it absorbed the Blood Essence, the Blood Emperor's Armor released a powerful pressure that caused the remaining three Superior Mythic monsters to distance themselves upon noticing the sudden development.

The Chestplate's red luster grew brighter and Feng could feel the terrifying aura radiating off it. Immediately, he knew that the Blood Emperor's Armor had finally reached Legendary rank. Though, this was very bad timing since, if he were to be unable to continue having the Blood Emperor's Armor equipped, Feng would be without a Chestplate.

He'd have to look through his bag for one and take it out before equipping it, but the three Blood Emperors surrounding him while looking for an opportunity to strike would naturally not give Feng the luxury to do so.

System: Blood Emperor's Armor has successfully been upgraded. Do you wish to establish a blood contract and contribute 100 Life Essences to the Blood Emperor's Armor?

Without thinking much about it, Feng retrieved the Blood Refining Crystal from his Space Ring and clicked "Agree", one hundred drops of Life Essence disappearing from the crystal.

A blood-red Magic Array appeared on the Blood Emperor's Armor that Feng was wearing, causing the Chestplate to turn even redder as its aura increased. However, it did not affect Feng in the slightest, and he actually felt as if the armor was an extension of his body.

Boundless power seemed to surge into Feng as his own aura spiked as well.

To Feng's surprise, no notification that the Blood Emperor's Armor has been unequipped reached his ears, the situation apparently not degenerating towards his doom.

Seeing that the Superior Mythic Undeads weren't rushing him, instead cautiously observing the human after the sudden change, Feng took the chance to check the Blood Emperor's Armor's Attribute Panel.

A Legendary armor forged using the Blood Emperor's remaining blood. Due to severe damage the armor received during a great war between Gods, most of the Blood Emperor's Armor's power had been drained, but by absorbing 1,000 drops of Blood Essence and entering a Blood Contract with Adevnturer Ye Feng, it had regained most of its power. All requirements for equipping the armor are reduced by 70% when equipped by the Blood Contractor, and Vitality is increased by an additional 100%.

The Blood Contract had really came by unexpectedly and was a massive lifesaver for Feng. If not for that contract and the perks that were added to the Blood Contractor with it, Feng would have been forced to unequip the Blood Emperor's Armor.

Thanks to the benefits of him being the Legendary Chestplate's contractor, as long as Feng was a Tier 1 creature, since Tier 0.9 doesn't exist, he's capable of equipping the Blood Emperor's Armor, and could continue fighting.

Additionally, the attributes of the armor were incredible and increased Feng's combat power by leaps and bounds, while the additional skills had received a great improvement. Although Legendary Accessories like Rings, Ornaments, Necklaces, and Capes were great, they couldn't quite give as big of a boost to a player's strength like Legendary equipment, and especially Weapons, could.

While Feng was distracted gazing at his new and improved Chestplate, one of the Blood Emperors lost its patience and took the chance to attack. Before its weapon could reach Feng, however, like a lightning bolt, Feng's Abyssal Blade collided with it, stopping the Superior Mythic's attack in its tracks.

Before the Blood Emperor could react, the Pandemonium Lashblade struck its chest and sent it flying several yards away as it crashed into the floor of the corridor. Feng didn't bother chasing after it despite having a great opportunity to inflict more damage on the Undead, simply remaining in his spot and stretching his arms; as if feeling the strength within them.

Seeing their comrade get hit and made defenseless, the other two Blood Emperors charged forward as well, one attacking from Feng's flank and the other running up the walls to the ceiling of the corridor before launching himself downwards at Feng, while the third one quickly recovered from Feng's slash and attacked as well.

Attacking simultaneously, all three of the Superior Mythic monsters used their ultimate move and executed an Advanced Bronze Combat Technique as they struck at Feng from all sides.

Feng didn't seem all that concerned about the pincer attack that would have left him in quite a tight spot previously, simply gripping both of his swords, while his lips curled up into a faint smile.

Silver Combat Technique, Sword's Orbit!

The three Blood Emperors had created a spectacle to behold with their attacks and created the image of having an assured victory, but before any of them could land a blow on Feng, a galaxy of stars appeared around him. All of their attacks were instantly repelled and neutralized, while the monsters themselves became covered in sword wounds as they got sent flying back in the direction they had come from.

Without giving them a chance to recover, Feng jumped up the wall and followed after the airborne one that had attacked him from above, reaching the Blood Emperor in the blink of an eye and stabbing the Pandemonium Lashblade through its chest.

Flipping over the Superior Mythic monster, Feng removed the sword from its body, grabbed its leg, and threw the Bood Emperor at the other Undead who had just gotten up, forcing that one to catch the flailing zombie.

Instantly switching targets, Feng maneuvered down the walls towards the third Blood Emperor, who entered a defensive stance the moment it noticed Feng's approach. However, it couldn't keep up with Feng, and he expertly moved in front of it by pushing himself off the wall as the Superior Mythic monster had been getting ready to strike up at him.

It tried to change its attack and defend against Feng, but his swords had already pierced through the Blood Emperor's armor and forearms, coming out on the other side and stopping the Undead from continuing its attack.

Hopping over the monster that was only a bit taller than him and landing behind it, Feng forced the Superior Mythic monster's back to bend all the way while positioning its impaled arms in a cross, before removing his blades and stepping on the part where the Blood Emperor's arms intertwined over each other, pushing them to the ground and preventing it from moving them.

With a flick of his wrist, Feng twisted his swords around in a reverse grip, holding them like daggers, and cutting into the Superior Mythic's neck from both sides. The swift action was done in one breath, resulting in the Blood Emperor's head getting severed before it could even react.

Its two companions rushed over to help, but the damage had already been done. Even if the decapitated Blood Emperor had some HP remaining, its combat power had practically dropped to zero, as humanoid creatures' strength is impacted a lot more depending on whether they have a head or not.

Feng greeted the two Undead monsters' approach by kicking their comrade's head towards them like a football, before charging at them as well. The three of them exchanged moves, and the two Superior Mythic monsters were forced to retreat, while Feng remained steady on his feet.

To a player's caliber, even a 10% increase to his main attributes like Strength and Agility would instantly elevate his combat power by a significant amount, gaining a huge boost to his combat power, not to mention an increase of over 100%.

Moreover, Feng's Physique had also greatly improved as well, allowing for more frequent and efficient use of powerful Combat Techniques at the Advanced Bronze and Silver ranks.

If these Blood Emperors had previously been a challenge, now they were a walk in the park to get rid of.

This group had already been beaten up pretty badly before his Chestplate was promoted to Legendary rank, so once the Blood Emperor's Armor was upgraded they quickly turned into corpses.

Aside from the Fragmented Legendary equipment they dropped, one of the Blood Emperors also left behind a Blood Essence, which Feng allowed the Blood Refining Crystal to absorb.

Unlike the Blood Emperor's Armor, the Blood Refining Crystal needed only 200 drops of Blood Essence to evolve, so Feng will be able to evolve it pretty quickly.

After clearing out another three groups consisting of four Blood Emperors and four groups consisting of five Blood Emperors, the Blood Refining Crystal had absorbed all the required Blood Essence and began its evolution.

The previous crystal ball grew in size and pressure, its red color turning brighter and shining elegantly. Feng then checked its description.

[Blood Refining Crystal] (Fragmented Legendary Rank Item)

Can absorb the Life Force of powerful monsters the wielder kills. After accumulating 100 points of Blood Energy, player can produce a drop of Life Essence or form one Blood Essence. After accumulating 100 drops of Blood Essence, player can produce a Life Crystal. Can accumulate a maximum of 10,000 drops of Life Essence and 100 Life Crystals. Each drop can increase a player's Stamina and Concentration recovery speed for two hours. Each crystal can exponentially increase a player's recovery speed, enhance Physique, and elevate Concentration rank by one (Up to a maximum of Tier 5 Basic rank), for five hours.

Current drops of Life Essences: 330/10,000

Current number of Life Crystals: 1/100

With the upgrade, the usefulness of the Blood Refining Crystal had increased greatly and could be of significant strategic value to Feng.

Feng then continued onward after storing the Blood Refining Crystal, killing more Blood Emperors for loot and Blood Essences so that he could form even more Life Crystals.

After traveling for around half an hour longer while killing groups of five and six Blood Emperors, enriching himself even more, Feng suddenly noticed something in the distance. The end of the Blood Refining Passage.

The corridor's end was now within sight, and from what Feng could make out at this distance, he saw a Magic Crystal Treasure Chest made entirely out of Magic Crystals with purple runes on it.

As he took a step forward to approach the Magic Crystal Treasure Chest and get a better look at what lay at the end of this passageway, however, the entire Blood Refinement Passage suddenly began to violently shake.

In the next moment, the walls around Feng broke apart into fragments and disintegrated in a circular pattern, revealing walls with even more complex runes on them that radiated Divine Might leagues above what the runes at the beginning of the corridor oozed off.

But it wasn't the change in the environment that attracted Feng's attention. Instead, it was the incomparable feeling of danger he suddenly sensed upon approaching the end of the passageway.

When the shaking of the corridor ended, a figure emerged from the ground, instantly becoming Feng's focus as the feeling of grave danger grew stronger.

Different from any of the Undead that had fought against Feng in the passage, the being standing in front of Feng at the moment didn't look like a skeleton or a zombie at all. Instead, the creature had pale-white skin, a pair of blood-red eyes that stared dead ahead, and short white hair.

It only wore a simple set of armor that gave off no special feeling, while its hands were empty, with no weapon in sight. Yet, Feng was instantly on guard the moment he made eye contact with the creature. He then activated the Eyes of Truth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. I can't remember, were Divine Dragons changed into Sacred Dragons at some point during the SS?

2. Thought of making it so that the God's Grave could actually be accessed through more than just the Purple Sun Mansion since it would be a bit weird if something like that could be found in only the basement of some random mansion in a random City of a random Kingdom.

3. It was never said that SF had reached the end of the Blood Refining Passage, and I thought it was weird for it to only contain up to a single Special Elite while the place was divided into sections.

4. From what I remember it was changed in the SS that this guy was a Primordial God, or it might have been due to the translation mistake, but I've decided it makes more sense for him to be an Ancient God.

5. Has nothing to do with the Blood Emperor whose armor Feng was wearing.
