Reincarnation: No Longer Your Love's Replacement

Chapter 7: Friends Unite to Avenge Nadi

Adi couldn't figure out the answer for the moment.

His assistant Ryan opened the car door for him, and he got in.

Sitting in the back seat, Adi closed his eyes to rest. He coldly ordered, "Post someone to keep watch. Under no circumstances should Nadi leave the cemetery."

Ryan: "Yes, Mr. Rahman!"

...

The whole night.

Nadi knelt throughout the rainy night.

When the eastern sky broke at dawn, Nadi could no longer hold on. Her body slumped, and she fainted.

"Nadi!" In her daze, Nadi heard someone calling her name.

She tried hard to open her eyes, but her eyelids were as heavy as lead weights. She was powerless and completely pulled into darkness.

"Adi, I've knelt for a whole night. Can I be released from prison now?"

"Mom, Mom! Mom, please don't have anything wrong with you!"

On the hospital bed, Nadi kept having nightmares and talking in her sleep.

Her long eyelashes kept trembling, and under her thin eyelids, her eyeballs kept moving. Suddenly, she grabbed the sheet under her and abruptly opened her eyes.

"Nadi!" Lilian Puspa, who had been guarding Nadi's bedside, quickly grabbed Nadi's hand, "It's me, Lili. I'm here, I'm here. Don't be afraid!"

Nadi's eyes were vacant, and her forehead was covered with cold sweat. Hearing Lili's voice, her eyes slowly focused.

She slowly moved her eyes and saw a familiar yet strange face. She tentatively asked, "Lili?"

"Mm, it's me." Seeing Nadi like this, Lili couldn't help but feel heartbroken.

Lili was Nadi's bestie. The two had grown up together since childhood. Though not biological sisters, they were closer than sisters.

The closer Lili and Nadi's relationship was, the more she detested Adi. If she had a chance, she would completely destroy Adi. That despicable man doesn't deserve to exist!

"Sorry, Nadi. In the past two years, I've tried every possible way but failed to exonerate you. Adi's power is just too strong. I couldn't even visit you in prison." Lili looked very guilty and heartbroken.

"Don't say that," Nadi reached out and touched Lili's lips, "You've done enough."

She gave a bitter smile, "How can we possibly stand up to Adi?"

At the mention of Adi, the ward fell silent for a few seconds.

"By the way, Lili," Nadi held Lili's hand tightly and asked anxiously, "Where is my mom? Where is she now?"

Lili answered, "Don't worry. I've arranged for a caregiver to look after your mother. She's fine and will probably wake up soon."

Nadi's heart finally settled a bit. She pursed her lips and continued to ask, "Lili, do you know what happened to my family in these two years? Yesterday, my mom said that my dad cheated more than twenty years ago, and colluded with his mistress to replace Aisha as my mom's biological daughter."

Lili frowned, knowing she couldn't hide this from Nadi, so she told her the truth, "Yes, Aisha is your half-sister. Your full-blooded sister or brother has been missing and their life or death is unknown."

"After you were imprisoned, this matter was exposed. At that time, your mom suffered a great shock. It's not an exaggeration to say that she aged more than ten years in one night. For a moment, I was afraid that your mom wouldn't make it. But in the end, your mom stood up again for you."

"She sought justice for you everywhere," Lili lowered her voice here, and the atmosphere in the ward became very oppressive, "But relying solely on me and your mom's strength, it was extremely difficult to get you out of prison. Moreover, the Safiya family didn't allow your mom to save you anymore. Your mom refused to comply, and in the end, your father, that despicable man, directly took his mistress back. How could your mom bear this? So she moved out of the Safiya family and lived alone."

Lili sighed, "Your mom is too strong-willed. She refused to let me help her and made a living by selling pancakes on the street. In fact, if your mom just signed the divorce agreement, she would get enough money to live comfortably in her old age, but she refused. She said she could divorce, but the condition was... to let Rina go to Adi and let Adi release you."

By the time Lili finished telling everything, Nadi had already been weeping bitterly.

Lili didn't say anything else, just silently patted Nadi's back to comfort her.

After a long while, Lili asked, "I know about your deal with Adi. You're free now. What are you going to do next?"

Nadi wiped away her tears and said firmly, "Set things right and divorce Adi."

Lili snapped her fingers loudly. With a raised corner of her mouth, she was about to speak when she saw Nadi frowning tightly all of a sudden. She pressed her stomach, bent over, and looked very painful.

"What's wrong with your stomach?"
