Chapter 66: Carpentry
They immediately left the adventurer guild and didn't forget to take a glimpse of the receptionist girl's surprised face, knowing that they were stronger than she thought.
While walking outside, Albert asked, "By the way, is there a brothel here?"
"Hmm?" Yale furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm not very sure. Although I indeed visited this town a few times, I didn't visit that place or even search for it."
"I see." Albert nodded with a sad expression.
"I know that you want it to be that way, but let's not mess with the town system, shall we? I mean, we're going to stay here for a period of time, so it's best not to become a bad guy."
"I know that." Albert scratched the back of his head. "I just want to get stronger."
Bonk Gauge: 147 Bonk Bites
He took another look at his Bonk Gauge after bonking the C Rank Adventurer.
'Hmm? That's quite good.' Albert thought and recalled the missions he had.
Suddenly, Bonkey mentioned an interesting topic.
[There is a continuation for the Leader Mission. Do you want to see it?]
'Leader mission? Was that the mission about Yale?'
[Yes.]
'Show me then.'
Mission: Get a disciple or subordinate (1/5)
Reward: Bonk Commander
'Is this like an upgrade?'
[Yes.]
'Oh, I see. Will I get one for other jobs as well?'
[The possibility is high, depending on your course of action.]
'Okay, got it. For now, I don't think I can handle more than Yale. And I need to know them first before asking them to be my subordinates or disciple… I don't want a psychopath to join my group after all.'
"By the way, what is your plan for the future, Teacher?" Yale asked.
Albert glanced at him, fell silent for a moment, and answered, "I'm planning to learn something related to labor, maybe like a carpenter or something."
"Huh? That's a weird goal you have there."
"I am simply taking a course of action to wield the Bonk Bat more efficiently." Albert shook his head.
"Is there more abilities than its unbreakable property and the power related to horny people?"
"It's the latter, but another variation."
"I see. In that case, there is a workshop not far from here. We can go there for a while to see whether you can do it or not." He nodded.
"Thanks." Albert nodded with a smile while thinking, 'That's right. Do I get something useful other than the Horny Jail, Bonkey?'
[Yes. You can get a blueprint for your equipment and others. It's preferable if you learn everything from carpentry to tailoring. The Bonk will assist you with the skill as well.]
'Nice. That's a good thing, I think.'
While Albert was talking with Bonkey, Yale was able to think of something unique. "By the way, I have a suggestion, Teacher."
"What is it?"
"Why don't we get a slave? We can get a slave for cleaning our place or for fighting with us."
"Huh? Is there something like that?" Albert raised his head. He tried to consider the slave as an option. For him, there wasn't that much difference between the corporate slave or this type of slave as long as he treated them humanly, so he thought that would be a good choice.
However, he didn't know anything about the slave, so he hesitated.
After some consideration, he said, "We can wait for that. I mean, let's get stronger first before thinking about that. Besides, our money is limited."
"Indeed. If we don't have money, we can't buy slaves, including sex slaves." Yale nodded.
"Ho? That's an interesting thing you said there." Albert squinted his eyes.
"I considered it once, but I thought it wouldn't be that useful, considering we could only bonk them once. There's not much merit for it."
"We can just use the Bonk Bat as a qualification."
"What do you mean?"
"As long as a horny person touched it, they would be launched away. And more importantly, the Bonk didn't actually hurt them."
"Oh, I see. We can slightly tap them while lying to the slave traders. That can be done too, but we will be blacklisted as soon as they find the change."
"Yeah. That's why we put this on hold for the time being, same as the brothel."
"Understood."
They continued walking toward the carpentry in Yale's mind. It was a small building on the outskirts of the city, but he could see so many wooden blocks around the building, indicating that they were working on a project.
"This is the place. Teacher can try it, but I don't know if you're able to do something like that." Yale pointed at the hut.
"Still, I want to ask why Teacher wants to learn something like this… I mean, I can understand that you're only trying to use the power of the Bonk Bat, but this is just a short goal. What do you want for the long goal?"
"I don't have an answer yet." Albert scratched the back of his head. "To be honest, I just want to have fun until the day I die while bonking people. Maybe, the more, the merrier."
"!!!" Yale widened his eyes and looked at Albert. "Maybe a kingdom? Or an organization of some sort? And they all can use Bonk Bat…"
"Oh, a nice idea." Albert chuckled. "Well, no one knows where the journey will end, so I will just do what I can do in the present."
"I understand. I know that Teacher is not a great thinker, only someone sly enough." He chuckled.
"Well, whatever you say." Albert shrugged.
"Anyway, there will be an inn two blocks from here. I'm sure you can find it there." Yale pointed to the left. "I will be waiting for you inside the inn, so you just need to call my name from the outside. I should be able to hear it easily. I am a bit intrigued and want to test what I learned today after all."
"Okay, you do what you want to do." Albert nodded.
"Then…" Yale bowed to him and walked in the direction he pointed at earlier.
Meanwhile, Albert was walking toward the building while asking, 'By the way, I don't think there will be a book that explains how to do this, right? How do I learn their skill again?'
[You just need to have someone explain the process like the book.]
'Oh, by that time, will you convert it again?'
[Yes.]
'That's easy then.' Albert nodded with a serious expression and took a peek inside the building.
He soon found a few demons cutting a giant trunk inside the building.
One of them suddenly noticed him and turned around, alerting the others. They also glanced at the entrance and found Theo standing outside.
"What is this? Are you lost or something?" One of them shouted while furrowing his eyebrows.
"No." Albert checked their expressions first. If they were angry, he thought he would try again another time. However, they seemed to be curious about him, so he said, "I am someone who is trying to learn everything even just a little.
"So, is it possible if I watch you cutting this trunk?" Albert smiled, persuading them with a gentle tone.
They exchanged looks with confused expressions. After a moment, one of them said, "I don't mind if you watch me. I don't know about the others though."
"Yeah. As long as you don't touch anything or cause problems, we don't really mind." The group agreed easily.
It was rare to have someone interested in their line of work after all, especially with someone who brought his items together with him. This alone indicated him as a traveler, so they were curious what kind of traveler would go so far to learn from them.
"You can put down your bag there. No one will steal it inside this building." The demon pointed at the corner of the building.
Albert followed his instruction and carefully walked around to avoid touching anything. After putting his bag down, he noticed a demon waving his hand, asking him to go to him.
"Do you have any experience with this?"
"No. I am researching many small things," said Albert with a sigh.
"If that's the case, then the first thing you need to see is that." The demon pointed at the two demons that were holding a giant saw that needed two people to hold.
The one, who held the other end, shouted, "Alright. I'll go first!"
His partner nodded as they began pushing and pulling the saw back and forth, gradually cutting the trunk.
"This is the first step. After all, cutting down the tree means getting this kind of trunk raw. So, yeah, we need to cut it first."
"Then how do you determine the dimension? There is no way you're cutting it randomly, right?" Albert asked.
"Of course. We'll be listening to the request like what's the purpose of this block. If you want to use it as the main pillar, it's better to create a slightly bigger one and if possible, make it have the same length and width.
"We can even cut it circular." He pointed at another corner, specifically at the workbench. "See that long workbench over there? We usually use it to polish the woods, depending on their design before delivering it to others."
"I see." Albert nodded with a serious expression.
"Do you have any technique to cut this thing?"
"Not really. We just cut them down… More like experiences and craftsmanship. That's all." The demon shrugged.
"I see." Albert thought for a moment, wondering why the system had yet to give him the notification to learn the skill.
Suddenly, he remembered something. The only thing that could differentiate the carpenter of this world and his previous world.
Magic.
"By the way, can you use Magic to cut this thing down?" He asked.
"Obviously." The demon nodded and pointed at the two guys again. "Wait for a while and they will start moving faster."
Albert squinted his eyes, watching their movements.
Just like he said, the two demons suddenly covered their hands with their Magic Power.
Albert thought about this when he saw their levels.
For someone who reached level 20, he thought it was impossible for them not to have the ability to use Magic Power. He had learned that using them was easy after all.
In this instant, Albert thought of another question. "Why don't you just ask a swordsman to cut the tree? I mean, their sword is sharp and they can slash it with one swing."
"I suggest you not to ask something like that. If you cut it too fast, it's hard to do it in a straight line because of the restriction. That's why only a first-class swordsman can do it. But there's no way they will work as a carpenter, right?"
"That's true. Sorry, it's a foolish question of mine. I just think that since Magic Power is working, why don't we use something different like a swordsman or a magician? Maybe, there's a spell for that? Wood element spells?"
"There is a difference between a spell and this. Even if there's a wood bending spell, it's not useful for a carpenter because that's not the main point. We need to cut the trunk precisely, so we need something like a Saw to do this."
[Analysis Complete.]
Skill: Saw - 1 Bonk Bites
Effect: By channeling the Magic Power to the hand, the user can release sharp energy that can travel inside the lumber in a singular line to the other end.

'Eh? I can learn something like this too?' Albert widened his eyes and immediately used his Bonk Bites to learn it.
Skill: Cutting Tree - 1 Bonk Bites
