Chapter 75: Chance to Change Fate.
Chapter 75: Chance to Change Fate.
Levi just exchanged some pleasantries after finding out that the people he saves inside the carriage are his students. He had signed an agreement that he would not reveal anything about Philip. His only guess is that his student is the son of someone important in the mage tower, whose identity must remain a secret.
He doesn’t care, but if it were true, the accident might have been caused by someone.
Time passed, and Levi continued to teach Philip. Levi found out his student learned fast. Too bad the blonde-haired man starts late; there is a way to improve faster by teaching him the Advance Magic Elements Manual. But he is not stupid to share the manual; from his experience, it’s better not to tell anyone about it.
He also becomes friends with several people in Aurora Gem's mage tower. One of them is the mage tower alchemist Vernon; he is a middle-aged man with sparse black hair.
Although Levi had bought the book about basic alchemy, he had failed many times and decided to find an expert to teach him.
According to human history, before the existence of human mages and shamans, Alchemists were the first to study mana and wild plants to create medicine and fight the enemy.
They are called the Battle Alchemists, and they used their potion to create elemental attacks like explosions and freezing. After long studies and sacrifice, the first image is born.
The battle alchemist once feared his battle prowess, seeing that the mage was much more powerful, and decided to focus on the creation of a potion. Over time, they find out that mages can create better and more effective potions than ordinary human alchemists.
Since then, alchemists have been separated from ordinary humans, and mage alchemists can create superior versions of potions that can heal serious injuries and so on.
Inside an alchemy room, there are many unprocessed herbs and various colors of liquid in a glass container.
Vernon is teaching Levi how to create a basic healing potion. Even though it’s a basic potion, it can sell a lot because it was created by an alchemy mage.
Levi needs to check the herb ratio and mana to make sure the fusion is complete.
Soon the murky liquid fuses and turns red.
"I succeeded." Levi holds the round glass bottle; inside is a red liquid.
"This is all I can teach you because of the regulations."
"It’s already enough, thank you. Here is my token of appreciation." Levi handed him a small pouch full of mana stones.
"You can come to me if you have any problems," Vernon said seriously while taking the pouch.
Levi doesn’t care about giving the small amount of mana stones because he still has a lot of unprocessed mana stones that he steals. There is even one the size of a ball; once cut down, it will turn into hundreds of small mana stones.
After that, Levi leaves the alchemy room and heads to the lift; coincidentally, the female mage that brought him here is also inside. Kelsey, in her thirtieth year, had brown hair and worked under the patriarch of Aurora Gem's mage tower.
Levi found out that even though she is a mage, she is more like a secretary and doesn’t receive any special treatment. Because of that, after some persuasion and the power of the mana stone, she agreed to help him. As long as it doesn’t involve the confidential secret of the Aurora Gem mage tower.
"How is the information that I asked you to gather?" Levi asked.
"I still haven’t found the person that you are looking for, or they are already being captured," Kelsey answered truthfully.
"It doesn’t matter even if they are dead; I just want to know their situation."
"Yes, I will inform you if I find anything."
"Here." Levi throws a pouch of mana stones.
Kelsey quickly catches it and hides it inside her robe. "Don’t worry, I will do my best." With this, she can finally break through to adept rank.
Without saying anything, Levi leaves the mage tower. Along the way, he meets familiar mages like the burly mage Adrian.
Outside the mage tower. "Mr. Levi, where do you want to go?" The driver opens the flying carriage door. After saving Philip's life. He let Levi use his flying carriage for free. It’s faster than walking or taking a vehicle.
"Martial arts shop." Although the warrior path is not popular in Manofrea, few shops in the city specialize in selling anything related to warriors. Since there is a mercenary guild in the city, there are many mercenaries that need the shop.
When the flying carriage landed, Levi ordered the driver to return to the mage tower. The martial arts shop is large because it's connected to the blacksmith and other facilities. Entering inside, he can see many warriors and mages looking around.
Levi came to find a new mana breathing technique for his body. Different from his mage path, his body is still using the Basic Body Strengthening Manual and is slower at absorbing mana.
"I want to see a man's breathing technique that is suitable for adept rank and above," Levi asked the male receptionist at the counter.
"We only have the mana breathing for adept rank; please wait a moment."
Levi sees many adept rank-mana breathing techniques. All of the techniques are not much different or weaker than those in the Basic Body Strengthening Manual. Levi doesn’t realize that all the adept rank mana breathing techniques are priceless treasures for the apprentice rank warrior.

Serena walks aimlessly on the pavement. She had been fired because of the boss's wife. She had done nothing wrong; that old pervert is the one who took advantage of her. Suddenly a wind blew her blonde hair, and she saw a man coming out of a flying carriage. She recognizes the brunette-haired man; he was her savior.
A few hours later, Serena is waiting for her savior to come out of the shop. Other than thanking him, she wants to ask if he is hiring any assistance. If she doesn’t find a job soon, she will be living on the street; this is her only chance.
The person that she is waiting for finally comes out of the shop.
"Mister wait!"
Levi turns around and sees a blonde-haired woman running toward him. Mage had a great memory, and he remembers her face during that accident.
"What do you want?"
First, I want to thank you for saving my life."
"You are welcome; do you have anything you want to say?"
"Do you need assistance?"
Levi is contemplating whether he needs someone to take care of the information gathering if he leaves the city later. He still doesn’t know how the situation is in Templeris Forest. Philip already doesn’t need anyone to teach him since what he needs most right now is time.
After thinking for a while, Levi agreed to hire her as an assistant.
"Thank you, thank you. I will work hard." Serena never thought he would agree. What she doesn’t realize is that this will change her fate.

On the outskirts, two figures are running away. Several mages are riding a flying carpet, and another flying vehicle is chasing them from behind.
"You can’t escape; surrender!" The middle-aged mage shouted. At the same time, his hand holding a wand creates a magic circle and is ready to launch a spell.
The only reason the middle-aged mage and others failed to capture them is because of the dense forest, and they couldn’t get too close because of the counterattack. The enemy is not weak; many people have gotten injured while trying to capture them.
"Do you think you can escape from The Infinite Tower? It's only a matter of time before we capture you!"
The Infinite Tower is a mage tower located in Vrila City. The two fleeing figures are Clara and Otis from their investigation. The Infinite Tower is the only mage tower that is still researching primitive mages.
However, when they thought they would succeed in getting the research, One of the captives managed to resist the poison and escape to the mage tower. Alerted, they began to send out their mages to hunt them.
"How about we split up?" Otis enquired.
"There are no regular adept mages," Clara answered.
"I know that's why we need to split up and need to find Levi."
"He might not help us." Clara knows that Levi is a cautious person when it comes to his safety. However, at the same time, he will help if it does not risk his life.
"It's fine; I am sure he is also looking for us."
Clara nodded her head and moved in a different direction.
Otis, seeing that, feels relieved. He notices that this time the mages that chase them are stronger. Even if both of them work together, their attack range is limited, not to mention that the mages must have a defensive magic device and spell.
After all, this is a mage nation.
"Where are they?" The middle-aged mage asked.
"Over there!" The mage on a flying carpet shouted while pointing his finger at the bald, skinny man that was running through the woods.
"Chase!"
