'Huff... I might be tired and my life is at the edge of death, but it's not meant that I will let myself die out of boredom.

Sae walk at the in the hallway with rather a slow pace. Making sure that she isn't overdoing her body's limit that it make her health decrease. If it's not because she tortured herself to take that bitter and scary medicine that being given to her for three times a day, her body might not as strong as today.

Thom Thom Thom sound as if someone running on wood floor could be heard.

'Hm?' Sae, who also heard sound of running making she halt her walk. She try to find the source of the sound is and while she turn her body to her back...

"Sae-nee!!!"

She being tackle at the stomach by a child that was younger than her. Even though that the child is loong small and harmless, because of how weak Sae is, the two falls on the wood floor.

If it could show how it was going and taking this scene in She's view, there is a high chance that we could see she is spitting a blood through her mouth or seeing a small soul come out from her mouth.

The system reminding Sae while she still groaning as her back had the sting sensenation because of the fall on the hard floor. Should be glad that it's wood floor rather than stone one.

"Ugh... who?" Sae lift her head and see a bright smile of rather young and cute girl. Showing a big smile that, expose some of her loosing baby teeth.

"Sae-nee! Let's play together!" the girl that still lay on top of Sae and hugging her tightly.

"Morry!" a shout of a boy could be heard by Sae and the girl that name Morry.

Thum Thum Thum a boy that seems like at the same age as Morry running toward at both of them.

"How many time I told you! You can't just greet people like that!

"Also, don't just suddenly tackle big sis Sae. She is still sick despite of her could get out from her room!" the boy nagging at Morry.

"Ah- ah- ah! O- ouwiie...." Morry say as her left ear being pinching by the boy and quickly get up from Sae, since the boy dragging her ear up slightly.

"Hehehe;;... No need to mad so much at your sister, Maru."

'Even though the damage that being taken is quite too much, but what can I do? I don't have a heart to being mad at young child that still don't know what good and bad is.

'Let just say that it is my fault since I let my guard down.'

Sae get up slowly with holding on window to lift herself up. The twin want to help her but she refuse to while saying that she could handle it herself.

She don't want to show her weak side, because it will make both of them feel guilty. If she show her how hurt she is and father know about this, there is a high chance that she will being held in her room again.

Maru is a boy with dark brown eyes short messy orange hair while Morry have a similar face at Maru but she have blond hair and bit shorter than her brother. Maru and Morry is a twin at the age of 5 and Maru born 5 minutes earlier than Morry. And both of them is a blood related child of Norren Demis.

After the moment of Sae recover herself and manage to get up steadily she down to the twin in front of her with smile.

"No need to being so mad to your sister, Maru. She is just excited and energetic like always.

"And, what are you both doing here? Aren't you two had class with sister?"

"Well, the class just finished and we both want to go to garden. Everyone already been there already." Maru say.

"Thanks to brother, we both already late." Morry say while pouting.

"Well, if it's not because you bothering you brother, we both wouldn't get punished to clean the library." Maru say while glaring toward his sister who is burying her face toward Sae's body as she just laugh at their sibling interaction while patting Morry's head.

"Now, now you two. Just end it and let's go to where everyone is." Sae say while continue to walk as Morry clingy holding her hand and Maru walking in front of them. The walk never silent as both Maru and Morry chatting, talk about their daily life while Sae wasn't with them and what they learn in class. Both of Maru and Morry matching Sae's steps because both of them know how their sister's health is.

Not long after, they finally arrived at back door where the garden is. As three of them arrived at there, everyone already been there. The 'everyone' in this is all kids just around in Maru and Morry's ages. All kids that actually living here.

Maple Orphanage is located at some end of small village in rural place. Very close toward nature and green lifes. The kids in here never that many, and most children being sent here to be caretaking or schooling. Only few that actually live in this orphanage.

"You two late!" One of the kids shouting toward the three of them.

"Sorry.., sister Alice give us much job to do than usual." Maru say while holding his head with two of his hands on his back head, walking calmly to them as if he didn't feel any guilt by making his friends waiting for them

There is eight children, start from the child on the right, who is shouting toward three of them, Arai, Yuita, Liya, Will, Jessica, Venn, Beatrice, and Xermin.

'Seems like the other isn't here?' Sae thought to herself.

"Where is the other?" Morry questioning to their friends. While Yuita, the shortest and the youngest child in group walking toward Sae. Hugging her.

"Task on duty." Venn say, jump off from three brench that aren't that high.

"Well, only us then?" Sae say, while patting Yuita on her head.

And so on, all of them decided just continue to play. As the thought to play chasing, that idea quickly demise since Sae is joining them.

"What do we play?"

"What about we play housing." Morry suggest.

"Housing? Ew, so girlish." Will say, mockingly.

"I am indeed a girl. Hpmh." Morry pouting. Some of them just laugh toward their interaction.

"What about hide and seek?" Sae, this time suggesting.

"Eh.., we already play that like, yesterday.." Venn say while some of the children nodding their head. Agreeing Venn's opinion.

"Hmph, just say that you guys afraid to losing." Maru say mockingly.

"What!?" Venn shouting.

"I just say that, you guys is noob in this game that's all." Maru start more fire.

"Well you just win yesterday just because you get teamed up with sister Sae!" Venn angrily stated.

"Now now you two, what about this, this time, what about all of you hide while I search for you guys." Sae say. The other kids quickly agreed to her just like she expect. All of them just don't quite to be the searching one.

Sae facing toward the big tree while both of her hands is around her head then counting to 20, while the kids start to search a place to hide.

"... 18 ... 19 ... 20! Ready or not, here I come!" Sae shout out, facing away from the tree, looking around and to see the children aren't there anymore. Sae smirking slightly before communicate with system in her head.

'Wish luck on your side, kids.' Sae evily smirking before walking slowly and in steady steps, toward where the map marking. Walking the closer to her first.

And in the end, it was Venn who being found first and long after it was Maru and Jessica, who hiding in garden store. Sae found Liya hiding in kitchen, in low cabinet where there is few items where there is enough space for her to hide. Arai and Will, hiding under the bed in their sharing room. Morry in bush. Xermin and Yuita, together hiding in some store that was far from garden. And...

"I found you, Beatrice." Sae say while she open the wooden case that supposedly where one of toy box to be keep.

"What? How!?"

"At least, you should hide those toy you throw away at better place. It was suspicious it to be left there, you know?" Sae chucking while Beatrice get out from the box, in embarrassed.

"Ah, there they are!" Maru say while pointing his finger as Sae and Beatrice walk to them.

"It's not even a minute..." Beatrice whining.

Sae just laugh slightly, not even feel bad to cheating with kids that younger than her. Does she? Who know.

"Sae-chan!" All of look where the source of voice is.

"Mother?" Matilda Demis, wife of Norren Demis and a blood related mother of Maru and Morry.

Sae smile toward the old lady who is standing in front the backdoor to the garden before bid her goodbye toward her little friends.

"Need something mother Ida?" Sae ask her as the lady patiently waiting for Sae walking to her.

"If I really need something, you're the last person I will ask for, Sae." Matilda chuckle slightly. Sae just feel a bit embarrassed.

"Actually, it was something else."

"Hm?"

Meanwhile, while Sae was walk away from a group of children, they just watch her walk to Matilda, or they always called her mother Ida.

"I wonder what mother want with big sis Sae." Maru say while Xermin walk to beside him.

"Who know." He say while Maru glancing toward him, realizing his presence.

"Tag!" Maru shout while he jump toward Xermin, slapping his hand to his shoulder then quickly running away. Shocking the child. The other, who saw this quickly also running away.

"Hey! It's not fair!" Xermin shout while running, chasing the closest friend that he could reach. They didn't realize that Matilda and Sae already gone inside the building.

After a while of them walking in hallway, they finally stop at in front of wooden door. Matilda reach her hand up and knocking a few time on the door.

"Enter." Matilda twisting the knob before slowly pushing the door. Leave a kreaking sound. Matilda then moving to the side so Sae could enter.

"Good afternoon, father Norren." Sae say as she walking into the room then standing in front of his office table.

"Good afternoon to you too, Sae. How are you?" The man ask her as he motion Sae to sit down on the sofa.

"Like usual. Nothing new." Sae say while she comfortable herself on the sofa. Matilda had gone.

"I see." Just what he say before leaving them with a silence.

Sae K had been fall a sick not long after Norren Demis taking her in. She had been fall in since her age of 4. Her illness had been worsening without any sign of recovery. Even his own best friend, Harron George, a doctor who work at near town say that Sae might not shown any sign to get any better. The only thing that could happening is for the sickness leading her to death.

Even so, miracle happening slowly when Sae start to show a sign of getting healtear around her age of seven. Even the doctor say that it was such magical thing. It might not much but it still showing a hope.

Now that Sae already at the age of ten, and even if she couldn't walk that far, she still able to walk around the orphanage or not, she might had to spending all her life in her room.

Norren was glab that Sae might able to spending her daily life as a normal healthy children around her age. But he can't get his hope high because fate is cruel sometimes and we don't know the future upon us. Anything could be happening. Just like when he was young.

"Father?"

"Ah, sorry. Did you say something?" Norren snapped out of his own thoughts when he heard Sae calling out of him.

"No. Just what do I called for?" Sae ask curiously.

Look down to one of his drawer, pull it then take a letter before push it back. Norren take a breath to calm himself before look back at Sae.

"It wasn't much actually. Sae, you know how you're here? How I meet you." He say while he get up from the office chair then go to sit on the sofa opposite Sae.

"No? I mean, not really. All I know that I was taken in when I was three years old." Then, the door being knock again and for Matilda to come in but brought something in her hand; a dark brown bamboo basket and a red cloth in it. She placed on the coffee table between Norren and Sae.

"That's right, it was seven years ago. It was at rainy night when I found you." Norren say while Matilda sit beside him.

"Here." Norren give Sae the letter that's on his hand, placing it on the table then showed it toward Sae.

"This, with this basket and cloth is what left with you when you being left here."

Sae just stare at the letter on the table first before reach her hand to take it. She study the out surface first, seeing a simple draw of a bird. Sae somewhat feel like she had seeing this draw before.

"I can ... take it?"

"Haha, what do you mean? It was yours to begin with." Norren say while a smile on his face.

"You can take your leave." He say again.

"Then, thank you, father, mother." Sae get up with the latter in her hand then take the basket with her. Walking slowly out from the door.

"Are you sure you don't tell her about that?" Matilda say after a while Sae leave the room. Looking at her husband who was in some thought.

"I am not sure if it's the right time for that. Even though she is such mature child, doesn't mean she is ready yet. After all, I don't set that plan, to take Sae as our adopted child." Norren say to his wife.

"I still can't forget what's happening the last time we get involved for something like that. All of us make promise not to get involved in that kinds of thing, remember?"

"Of course I do, dear." Matilda sighing slightly while she get closer to her husband and take one of his hand in her's, while her other hand resting on the back of his hand.

"You know that, nothing good will come from that." Norren say solemnly, glancing down to his wife who is resting her head on his shoulder.

"I know dear. I also there with you."

They stay like that for a long, the silence was nothing but a comfort for this old couple.

While in the comfort of his wife, Norren thought about something in his mind.

"I plan to let Sae being adopted." Norren suddenly say, get a shock reaction on his wife's face.

"I thought you planning to adopt her?"

"Yes, I do. But our circumstances right now seems not allowed for us to do that. And, our ages. Our times might come anytime soon." He say.

"I thought that if we do adopt her, she might doesn't get that much of freedom."

"But..,"

"Don't worry. I already thought of her as our own daughter. I will make sure she was in right hand." He reassure his wife, who just sighing at him.

"Do as you feel right then, Norren."

After a while of slow walk, Sae finally arrived in her room. She placing the basket on her bed.

'I must say that, the paper of the letter seems really well made.' Sae thought to herself. Staring at the draw back before something hit on her mind.

Sae tugging her shirt down to expose her left shoulder. To see a birthmark of her that somewhat look the same as the draw on the letter.

'Was it a coincidence?' Sae thought while corrected her clothes back.

Take the letter again, she open it to read the letter on it.

'Very dear to whoever found this letter,

 I might not give a information who I am, the one who writing this letter. All I could say that I am very need of your help, to taking care of my princess.

 Her first name is Sae and her family name is K. She is born at 16 April at the night of full blue moon.

 Because of some difficulty in our side's position, we need outsider's help. We never could repay you for this but I am sure this child surely will.'

That's what was written in it. The writing is so graceful and easy to understand. Sae not sure but she could tell that it was written by a woman. Even her herself couldn't write like this.

She told back the letter and put it beside the basket. She then reach to take out the red cloth that neatly being put in the basket.

Sae unfold the clot, let it fall till the floor. The cloth is big enough for her to make as a mini blanket, even touching it feel so soft an nice.

Then after that, Sae keep the cloth around her. Even at night, she make the cloth as her blanket. Her skill The Night Is Mine also level up and all her Health, and Stamina raise fifty. Making her level up to Level 3 at that night.

Of course Sae just know about that at the next morning. After that she always keep the blanket with her more often. All her stats and level slightly level up each day until she was at Level 8 before the stats can't be raise just having the cloth around her or doing some small activity. But she still keep the cloth with her all the time, especially when she was sleeping.

The basket? Well, she keep it in her closet.
