Chapter 22: Fear against blood
"Just watch and learn!"
It was what Goddess Corona told the petite god who looked at her in a weird look as he asked her,
"Watch what? And learn what?"
And the half-elf who had seen her was reacted in the weird glance as well, which led the goddess cleared her throat, and she said,
"See. I will wash those materials for you. Anyone could cut the log apart of the brothers?"
"All of us could if it just for the cook." Arina, the half-elf who looked at him in a weird glance, replied to her in a weird tone.
"Easy! Use whatever you could do for that, and then."
The goddess walked towards the hole she had created earlier and asked if any elves could generate water magic to clean the dead body's remaining mud, and the half-elf looked at her replied.
"Throw some of the hazelnuts, and the remains of the zombie could be destroyed instantly. No water needed for that."
"Is that so?" Kuso questioned Arina to confirm over a thing that she was not sure, and Arina was moving towards the goddess to prove what she had said earlier was a real thing by throwing a pair of hazelnuts into the zombie stanched hole.
With the pair of hazelnuts being tossed to the pitch, an explosion caused by a screaming man being heard, which led the goddess responded.
"Ugh... I hate exorcism!"
"Oh? I thought the Technoknights are good on this thing?" Arina reacted to her statement, which led her to reply as she looked at the half-elf.
"You know, it is all about personal preference. So, you can't just be saying that everyone is the same."
Arina nodded in agreement to the goddess as she knew that logic as well. So she asked the goddess,
"I think lady Technoknight should not doing all of the boar cutting later on. How about you are the one who cut the vegetables, and I'm the one who will help you with dealing with the boars?"
The goddess looked at her again, and she replied to her.
"Sure. Besides, I don't think that I could stand blood."
"Oh? Really?" The half-elf reacted to Kuso, and it was being seen that her body was sweated to remind about that, which led the half-elf to question her again.
"Are you sure that you could proceed with the cooking team? I think you are better at carpenting rather than in cooking?"
"Well, Arina. I could cook many dishes in my life as I'm always living alone. But, I could not be able to stand the raw blood."
Arina silenced for a while as she was thinking about the fear of blood from the goddess. And she asked him for confirmation.
"So, you were spanking rather than killing. Is it because you are fear of blood?"
The goddess replied firmly to her that led her to answer,
"Well, It is not related to it. You know, Arina. I have a system embedded in my body that could give me the power to conquer my fear. But I prefer to work on my own sometimes, rather than using my system."
Then, the half-elf instructed the elves' gang to help with the washing and asked Corona to clean up the boars. All of them nodded to her that led themselves to leave the place. And the rest were leaving silently without leaving any trace of the voice. And then, she asked the goddess.
"You are the unique case of any Technoknights we are known. First, you are fear of the blood, second. You are not killing. While for all I know, Technoknight will always kill for their own pleasure, but you are not."
"I don't like to be generalized, to be honest," Kuso replied in a cold tone to Arina that led her to silenced as she could felt the anger beneath the tone of her. And she replied,
"Sorry... I should not say so."
"It's fine. Nothing scarier than looking at the cows being slain alive, though. So, you have nothing to be blamed for that."
"Cows being slain alive? How brutal?" The half-elf looked at her to ask that as she gulped hard in for being freaked out. Kuso replied to her.
"Their throats are being slit open and let the blood flows out by itself until the cows died. And it caused the deep mental scar on my own soul thanks to it."
"That is... Scary..." Arina responded to Kuso's statement with a scared look as sweats began to flow on her own body, and Kuso replied to her.
"It's normal, though. You have to respect someone's culture before they respecting on yours, and this is why you guys are being cast off thanks to that."
"You're right. Lady Technoknight, we are the castaways whom our parents had caused this all. Many of us are either died or survived on our own with only a few of the things we have. This is why the plains' family feeling is strong to the level that you could command them."
"I can fell in the way, anyways. Can we start cut the logs while the girls and Corona are doing their own cleaning job?" Kuso shifted the topic in order not to load some of the thoughts from herself to them. And she knew about that as well which led her to say,
"Sure."
And both of them are heading towards the black-colored wood to split the wood into a small chunk of logs.
Hours passed, and the members are gathered there with the goddess and the half-elf were the one who cooked the foods.
