Chapter 88: Destroying You, What Does It Have to Do With You
I stopped worrying about what Princess Spiana was thinking in my arms and started looking up, carefully observing this construction site where Chippo was being held. Calling it a construction site was a stretch; it was more like a base for manufacturing weapons.
There were kingdom residents everywhere, conscripted and numbly repeating their work. The weapons here were plentiful—airplanes, cannons, tanks, all sorts of modern stuff, but with distinctive dog heads added to prove they weren't made by humans.
Seeing all these weapons in such numbers, I felt this urge to destroy the whole base. But Daburanda was smart about its importance; he'd not only beefed up the guards but also spaced out the weapons, manufacturing them at a distance to prevent anyone from wiping them all out in one go.
Damn, this villain's pretty cunning.
I gave up on the idea. This time, I was here to find someone, so better not start a fight. Plus, I had Princess Spiana as dead weight; fighting wouldn't be easy with her.
If something went wrong, and the giant statue couldn't be activated later, that'd be a disaster. Facing a bunch of cannons head-on, even Doraemon and I would have to run. Even if they were like pre-World War I weapons, with enough quantity, they'd be seriously dangerous!
Ants can bite an elephant to death, after all!
Like in Attack on Titan, where World War I-era weapons beat the crap out of those giants.
I couldn't take more than a few shots myself right now.
So, better play it safe, get the job done, and leave.
That's why I hugged Princess Spiana tight and used instant teleportation to dodge the dense guards.
Inside the factory, we hid behind machines, scanning the surroundings. But some spaces were too narrow, especially for two people to squeeze in.
Princess Spiana felt like she was completely draped over me, her soft body pressing tightly against mine. Her breasts squished against my chest, warm and yielding, and I could feel the heat from her thighs rubbing against my crotch as we shifted. It was making things... awkward down there, my dick starting to harden from the friction.
She didn't seem to mind, though, so I didn't say anything. After all, I wasn't the one at a disadvantage.
Her face was flushed red, her breath hot against my neck, and I could sense her nipples hardening through her clothes as she pressed closer, almost grinding subtly against me.
I figured this factory was so huge that finding someone would be tough, but soon enough, I spotted him. Because there were two familiar faces.
"You little brat, you think you can steal our stuff?" one said, whipping Chippo.
"Balderry, do you think we'll ever get back after Lord Saber sent us here?" the other asked.
"Bernard, you idiot! Don't you know how many soldiers died fighting the prince and his crew last time?"
"Guys like us, small-time soldiers, might just die if we run into some big shot, so we gotta be careful to survive in this world."
With that, Balderry knocked on Bernard's helmet.
"Besides, this is the rear, you know what that means?"
"What does it mean?" Bernard asked dumbly.
"Safety! Got it? Safety!"
"Once Lord Daburanda finishes fighting the prince and whoever wins, they'll need us. Then we pledge loyalty again, and it's back to business as usual."
Balderry grinned smugly.
"No wonder you're you, Balderry! You can spin bad into good!" Bernard praised naively.
In their excitement, they whipped Chippo twice more.
"Why are you hitting me when you're happy?" Chippo asked, confused.
"We feel like it, got a problem? You're a traitor's accomplice! Today, I'm teaching you a lesson on Lord Daburanda's behalf."
"Can't beat the prince and his gang? Well, I can sure beat you!"
With that, Bernard kicked Chippo hard in the ass, sending him stumbling to the ground.
"Get up, kid, no slacking!"
But suddenly, they noticed Chippo wasn't getting up.
"This kid's been beaten so much, and we haven't fed him. He couldn't be dead, right?" Balderry said suspiciously.
"If he's dead, he's dead! We can just grab another kid!"
"There are plenty of these brats in the villages outside the city," Bernard said indifferently.
"Yeah, but it's a shame to lose a punching bag like that," Balderry said regretfully.
Seeing Chippo on the ground, I quickly teleported over.
"Chippo, you okay? Chippo?" I called softly a few times.
No response!
"Who are you? Hey, someone—"
Bernard and Balderry started to shout, but I used telekinesis to shut them up, sealing their mouths.
Suddenly, they seemed to recognize me.
[Isn't that the enemy who fought Captain Saber to a draw? What's he doing here?]
[We're done for]
Seeing Chippo like this, I got angry. After all, the beautiful woman's request was a bust now.
I looked at the two in front of me—they were the ones who ruined my mission. And these guys were probably the type to bully; not good people.
You could tell from how they tormented a kid.
I just used telekinesis to crush their throats.
Just like that, Bernard and Balderry died. No grand spectacle, no heroic bravery, no fierce resistance.
Like they once said, small soldiers like them might just die one day running into a big shot.
"Nobita..." Princess Spiana, still buried in my arms, suddenly spoke.
"They were bad people, right?" she asked softly.
"Yeah," I said, feeling frustrated. This trip was a waste.
Princess Spiana didn't get it; she probably thought I was upset about killing them. She stroked my chest to comfort me. "They were all bad people; you did the right thing. Don't worry, I'm always by your side."
I was speechless—we weren't on the same wavelength!
"It's just a shame about this child, treated so cruelly by them!" Princess Spiana said, unable to bear looking at Chippo on the ground.
Sigh! What's the point now? I shook my head. Better head back.
After calming down, I figured even if the request failed, I should at least return the body.
So I used telekinesis to lift Chippo. Why not carry him by hand? Well, I still had Princess Spiana in my arms; she hadn't budged, so where would my hands go?
Telekinesis is handy, though—perfect for home use, killing, and looting.
I grabbed Chippo with telekinesis, held Princess Spiana, and teleported out of there.
...
Just as Nobita left, patrolling soldiers in the factory discovered the two bodies.
They quickly sounded the alarm.
The whole site erupted into chaos.
"Professer Kos, Professer Kos, big trouble!" A guard burst into the office, panicking.
"What happened? Something go wrong the moment Lord Daburanda leaves?" Professer Kos said angrily.
"Nothing major, just two guards found dead in the factory!" the guard said fearfully, seeing Professer Kos's anger.
"If nothing's wrong, that's good!" Professer Kos sighed in relief.
"Wait, is anything missing from the factory?" Professer Kos asked seriously.
"Nothing's missing! We checked everything," the guard replied earnestly.
"But the kid those two soldiers brought back is gone!" the guard added, suddenly remembering.
"So, they just came to rescue someone? Nothing else?" Professer Kos muttered to himself.
"Or maybe reconnaissance!" Professer Kos pondered.
He thought it over but had no clues.
Professer Kos could only order, "Pass the word: load all the weapons and equipment in the factory onto carts."
"Transport them all to Lord Daburanda!"
"Yes!" The guard turned and left to relay the command.
The office returned to quiet.
Only Professer Kos murmured to himself, "No matter what plot you're hatching, in the face of overwhelming firepower, it's all just paper."
