Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 441: You Are A Wolf

Ben held one of Ralph's arms close to the armpit while Zion held the other, Jocelyn stood by the side.

Ralph was currently half-naked, wearing nothing but blue boxer shorts. His expression was terrifyingly cold, like a caged beast looking for an opportunity to escape.

With his bare upper body exposed to the world, Ralph didn't seem perturbed or embarrassed. He had been kept like this for the past few days.

They had fed him and given him water, but he knew that was all just to keep him alive until the main hunter came around.

He knew it instinctively, those who had caught him, were following orders. All of them had the power to bring him down with their full force, but they didn't.

They pulled their punches repeatedly, seeking only to knock him out.

Although Ben's intention when he threw that truck at Ralph was highly questionable, he showed a lot of restraint after that.

Ralph knew that these 'friends' of his were not as simple as other werewolves he knew. And the way they spoke and acted indicated that they were not from anywhere he knew of.

Even their scents were vaguely familiar but also very unfamiliar.

The way Ben and Zion were holding Ralph was not needed as N'bayé had put some binding runes on his back, preventing him from taking some actions without feeling excruciating pain.

If he tried to transform into his werewolf form, the binding runes would sense the change and restrict him with overwhelming physical force.

Even with all the powerful entities around him, Ralph knew that none of them was the final boss.

Now that he was brought to the sitting room, a strange feeling came over Ralph. The strong desire to submit washed into his mind and his shoulders shivered.

He looked upon the two figures sitting on one of the luxurious couches with confusion and trepidation.

His heart raced and his breathing quickened.

This was the person who wanted him, this was his hunter.

One of them, the most attractive of the two, wore a simple black and white tight-fitting robe. His large body was sprawled on the couch, taking more than half of the sitting space with his shoulders alone.

His hair was golden blonde and combed to the sides with a parting in the middle. The color of his hair reminded Ralph of other blonde-haired people but it was more exquisite.

To Ralph, this man's presence was simply extraordinary. From his bulging muscular frame that could still be seen through his robes, to his handsome face that would be far beyond average for any human woman.

The way he sat there, gave Ralph the feeling that he was standing in front of the one true king of life and death.

Calm, peaceful, and unbothered by everything. This was a man who had everything under his control.

Was this even a man? Ralph wasn't sure.

Kael angled his head and focused his eyes to look at Ralph. The piercing golden eyes locked with Ralph's striking yellow eyes.

"Ah," Ralph groaned, unable to maintain his cold expression any longer. Tears welled up at the corner of his eyelids, he had made the mistake of looking Kael directly in the eyes.

He was used to maintaining eye contact with even the toughest people but one look at those golden eyes made Ralph buckle.

This wasn't a matter of skill, it was a matter of pure power.

Kael himself had done this intentionally to let Ralph know that he was in a serious mess.

"Your Majesty!" Jocelyn, Ben, and Zion greeted as they bowed at Kael.

They also intentionally used the language that Ralph was familiar with. This way, Ralph understood that this was someone whom even they had to be respectful to.

Your Majesty? Only kings and queens were greeted like that?

"You've done well," Kael said with a satisfied smile while waving his hand. As intimidating as he was, every gesture of his caught Ralph's attention.

"Sit him down," Priya said as she sat up on the couch.

Ben and Zion immediately pushed Ralph toward the white couch on the other side of the sitting area opposite Kael.

They pushed down on his shoulder and forced him to sit while they stood behind him.

A circular wooden table stood between Kael and Ralph.

Kael observed this young man who was apparently the Primordial Wolf.

"Do you know who I am?" Kael spoke using the language Ralph was familiar with, the same language that had been given to him by Priya.

Ralph blinked, struggling to maintain his cold expression but before Kael, he was not able to do so.

He looked very vulnerable right now.

"No," There was no need to be cocky with this alien overlord who could probably crush him if he wanted to. Ralph still valued his life.

Kael nodded with a smile, at least the Primordial Wolf was responsive and not troublesome.

"Do you know why you are here?" Kael asked.

"I'm not sure," Ralph said. He had always known that he was special even among werewolves, it was his uniqueness that made it hard for him to interact with them without one of them trying to fight him.

"You're not sure? Do you know who you are? Or better still, do you know what you are?" Kael tilted his head at the young man.

Ralph paused, "I'm not sure."

Kael chuckled, "That makes things a bit easier for us then," He said.

Ben and Zion who stood behind Ralph looked at each other from the corners of their eyes.

"Let's start with introductions," Kael said.

"I am King Kael Ol-mytee of the Ol-mytee Lion Clan. I'm also the reigning Primordial Lion of my civilization.

Your name is not that important but they call you Ralph, so will I.

Usually, I would be more forceful but I'll take another method. I'll ask you some questions and you must answer.

In return, feel free to ask as many questions as you want. I know my subordinates may not have been at their best behavior with you.

Don't worry, I'm here now,"

When Kael spoke, it seemed as if the air particles were getting heavier to Ralph. This was just a side effect of Kael becoming slightly more serious but Ralph was experiencing it differently.

This added to the false pressure from Kael's aura really put Ralph in a situation where he couldn't maintain composure.

"Were you always a werewolf?" Kael asked the first question.

Ralph shook his head, "No, but some of my family were werewolves."

"Hmm, where is your family now? When did you become a werewolf?" Kael asked.

"More than a year ago. I killed my family the day I transformed," Ralph said. His eyes were staring straight at the ground as memories flooded his vision.

"Why did you kill them?" Kael asked, gradually letting a bit of his spirit energy seep into Ralph. He knew that he might be asking an uncomfortable question so he was trying to make him more comfortable with talking.

"They tried to kill me. After I transformed, they tried to kill me.

Not just them, every werewolf I encounter will try to kill me whenever I transform." Ralph was indeed getting relaxed and was more open to Kael.

"Hmm, do you have a question?" Kael asked.

Ralph nodded, "Why were you hunting me? What do you want from me? And why aren't they trying to kill me despite being werewolves?

You said you were a lion? Where did you come from?"

Ralph stopped his questioning, feeling that Kael might not like it.

In this world, lions did not exist, they never existed here.

Kael looked thoughtful, "Ralph, the universe is vast. So vast that beings who possess power beyond anything you could comprehend cannot fully explore it.

This vast universe is also filled with many races and civilizations that have been existing for a long time.

I am a lion, one of the strongest races in the known universe.

You, Ralph, you are a wolf. Technically, you should be a wolf, not a human or werewolf."

"Wolf?" Ralph was confused.

"Yes," Kael nodded, "Not just any wolf, hit a special kind of wolf. A Primordial Wolf.

You are the only Primordial Wolf in the whole race of wolves, which makes you unique and somewhat special.

Don't let it get to your head though, it's a dangerous thing to be.

I am also a Primordial Lion.

We Primordials are special among the individuals of our races…."

"What are Primordials? And I asked why you were hunting me?" Ralph asked.

"I was just getting to that, don't interrupt me next time…okay?"

Ralph swallowed his saliva and shifted his gaze. He wondered how someone could pack so many threats in a single sentence.

"Okay," he said.

Kael smiled then sent a clump of information about Primordials through telepathy. Kael could have done this earlier but he was taking his time to let it all settle within Ralph's mind.

Ralph's eyes widened, then he frowned, then he widened his eyes again. He was surprised by both the telepathy and the content of the information Kael sent to him.

"So, the reason why I was hunting you was so that you and I could work together to protect ourselves. If I didn't come for you, someone else will.

Anti-Primordials are out there, seeking to eliminate us. The only way to survive is if we work together.

You think you have power? Wait until you sign my contract and I release you from this weak body…"
