Chapter 8: Humanity of Lord God
I went to search for information about the conflict between the Human Race and the Mermaid Race.
I headed to a building called the Guild Adventures, where I found a flyer that said, "The Mermaid Race wants to go to war with the Human Race and has become a threat to the Human Race."
Back on the previous planet, I had used something foolish to resolve the war between the Insectonoid Race and the Human Race.
On this planet, I learned that the Overlord overseeing this place was Leviathan and the Ocean Dragonlord.
I went to a library near the city and looked for books about the Mermaid Race, and I found something strange.
The book was titled "Verzweiflung Die nichtmenschliche Rasse von Yugell" (In German, it means "Despair of the Non-Human Race of Yugell").
This book was about the battle between the Insectonoids and humans. It was very different from the actual events. Yes, I did kill all the Insectonoids, but their deaths came from the Aura of Draco Nava, based on my words. However, I revived them. Here, I could only use Fire and Wind Elements and had a Teleportation spell on my finger, along with a few small spells. These spells were very tiny, only 1 pixel in size, but they required a lot of power.
Energy is a type of force that must be paid to use Mana. Mana is the energy used to release Magic Elements from the Entity's Power. Creatures with mana will live, but once their mana runs out, they experience side effects, such as their bodies becoming weak and feeling immense pain.
I thought about why something so impossible had occurred. Yes, the planets of Arch God January and Arch God February were extremely far apart—about 300 light years. It seemed impossible for them to communicate with each other. Their technology couldn’t make it happen.
I walked to the library staff to ask about this.
Suddenly, I heard a beep and received a message from Haru. He said, "Lord God, I have prepared the Seven Paradise Crusader Forces and request permission to depart."
"Didn’t we just finish discussing that? Why are you already done?" I asked.
"Yes, I completed it within 5 hours after the meeting ended. When I went to approach Your Majesty, you closed your eyes, and your consciousness left your body. I saw that you had gone to the world of Arch God February. So, I used Telepathy," he replied.
I allowed them to leave. During this conversation, I realized that every second in Seven Paradise could feel very long here, but why didn’t the communication between Seven Paradise and this place seem affected by time? Perhaps the conversation was long, but why wasn’t time influencing it?
As the Lord God, I couldn’t understand it. I decided not to dwell on it and continued with what I wanted to do. A Humanoid Being from the Elf Race, who worked at the library, approached me.
"Greetings, I have a question for you," I said.
"Greetings as well. How may I assist you?" she replied.
"I would like to know where you got this book," I said, showing her the book Verzweiflung Die nichtmenschliche Rasse von Yugell.
She said it was a book written by a reincarnator named Avalon Eiragon. Before he died, he was the Head Knight of Queen Thania, who spoke with a Lord God named Yugell Ein Herrgott. In his testimony, he claimed that all the Insectonoids died just from his words. The Insectonoid Race no longer existed in the world and was moved to a place called Inferial, a realm for Humanoid Beings other than humans. "I know this isn't true, but I will pretend not to know for now. I will investigate it later and change my name. Yes, some people know me as Yugell," I thought at that moment.
"Thank you for the information. I learned something new today. I will leave now, so farewell," I said as I walked away.
"Power, authority, wealth, and anything I want can be mine with just a word. However, dignity, being humiliated, and being ostracized are things that make me furious. Those who live because of me but mock me by changing history... I will destroy them. Even if they are a Lord God with greater power than mine, I will find out who they are. Things can happen in the blink of an eye, but if something that didn’t happen is told as if it did, that is the act of a deceiver," I said to myself, filled with anger.
I erased the memories of those who knew my name and changed my name. However, when I met Iris Neptune, she begged and said she didn’t want to forget my original name. She had heard everything. The Mermaid Race wasn’t just good at swimming. Their instincts and hearing were also strong.
I took care of Iris Neptune until she could swim again, and I went to the sea with her. I had decided to part with her for a long time, but before I did, I looked up at the sky and saw a streak of light, like a comet, heading toward this planet. It was headed to a house 200 meters away from where I was, toward the sea.
I took a boat to the location, and Iris Neptune followed me from behind. She asked what was going on, and I replied that I had something I wanted to see.
The light pierced through the ocean, and I was about to dive in. Iris asked what my goal was. I pointed toward a house behind a heart-shaped coral reef. Iris said, "We shouldn't go there, it's..." I stopped her from speaking and said, "I know, but I want to go there."
Iris Neptune said, "I'm not ready for this yet," with an embarrassed expression. I was confused. Was there some secret behind this? I didn’t want to take risks or cause problems again, but I had an important goal—to protect the life of the beings I created.
I looked for information about the life of the Mermaid Race in the book The Basic Architectural Book of the Twelve Lives. The Mermaid Race and the Human Race shared one tradition—the marriage between two different races. If a Human and a Mermaid marry, they must choose which life they want to live. The Mermaid Marriage ceremony involves passing through a sacred place, a symbol of love. I saw statues of a pair of mermaids embracing and kissing. I looked up information about the statue and learned that it was called the Valentine Statue, symbolizing love between partners and one of the sacred places.
I didn’t find anything odd. Perhaps the Mermaid Race was in conflict with humans, which is why they couldn’t introduce their partners as humans. I said, "It’s okay, whatever the risk, I’ll take it."
With a happy, blushing face, Iris led me to the place I pointed to. But after we passed the heart-shaped coral reef, she stopped and said, "Now we’re married, so I’ll always follow you wherever you go."
I was shocked and accidentally swallowed a lot of water, then fainted. I woke up on the boat, and I was in her lap.
She apologized for being too excited, thinking I couldn’t handle being in the water. That was true, but I had a potion I bought from the pharmacy last night. It was a potion that allowed me to breathe underwater. I wanted to try it after parting with Iris Neptune, and I wanted to say that I was surprised we were married.
I wanted to confirm it first. "Did you just say we’re married?" I asked her. She answered, "Yes, we passed through The Truth Love Confession as a couple." I looked up The Truth Love Confession in The Basic Architectural Book of the Twelve Lives. It was a sacred place for confessing love, and anyone who passed through it would be considered a married couple.
I had made a huge mistake. "Forgive me, Arch God February," I said. "I didn’t know about this," and she responded, "You said, 'It’s okay, whatever the risk, I’ll take it. Now, we’re married.'"
She looked sad and disappointed. I said, "Sorry, I thought you might be attacked by another Mermaid because you were with me."
She became sad and dove to the bottom of the sea. I felt bad for her and pitied her, so I dived after her.
I saw a massive creature circling the sea. It looked like a dragon but wasn’t the Ocean Dragonlord. It looked more like a serpent with a body resembling horns. Yes, it was a Leviathan from Overlord, the second strongest race after the Dragon Lord, comparable to the Phoenix, a bird resembling an eagle with flames coming from its feathers.
I saw Iris Neptune on a cliff surrounded by coral reefs, and the Leviathan approached her.
The Leviathan spoke, "What is it, daughter of Neptune?" Iris replied, "I’ve had a broken heart." The Leviathan asked, "Who dared to harm my daughter?" Iris replied, "Euro Sevenstar, I am not your daughter."
