Chapter 1: 01: Lyon Stark
/Lyon, I hope you can take care of yourself in the future. Brother! I don't know if I can break through.../
Another morning.
Lyon woke up to the sound of a call beside his ear.
At this moment, golden sunlight poured all over his body, like a handsome knight in a dream being bathed in holy light.
His black hair was straight, his eyelashes trembled slightly, and suddenly opened. In his dark pupils, it seemed as if a brilliant light rose, dazzling like the sun.
"Tony!" Lyon instinctively shouted a name.
Tony Stark, the other son of his foster parents, his brother, had just called him in a tone of farewell, but there was no sign of Tony beside him.
He immediately realized: "Tony is in trouble! How could it be... wait, did he not take my advice and still go to Afghanistan... damn, this arrogant guy, I emphasized it to him so many times."
Lyon speechlessly reached out and lightly tapped on the electronic display screen beside him.
The intelligent system quickly responded.
With a click, the restraint belt around Lyon's waist was released, and the next moment he gently floated up, suspended in the air.
Not only him.
Around him, tissues, dinner plates, tape... various scattered items floated around him, drifting aimlessly like a group of plankton immersed in a pool, moving freely.
But this wasn't a pool.
It was the interior of a manned spacecraft.
The bed Lyon was sleeping on wasn't a bed but a titanium alloy plate fixed to the cabin.
Day and night, he was bound to this plate, constantly facing the scorching sun.
When he was hungry, he ate canned meat paste; when he was thirsty, he drank nutrient solution. When he needed to use the bathroom, he directly operated the artificial intelligence system to solve it. It could be said that he was almost fused with the titanium alloy plate.
This kind of life had lasted for a full six months.
"Although I haven't completed the planned two and a half years of sunbathing, even just six months of sun exposure is enough."
Lyon clenched his fist in the air, feeling an unprecedented fullness of strength in his body.
At this moment, every cell and every drop of blood in his body was brimming with power.
As the sunlight poured over his bare body, tracing along the perfect lines of his muscles across his chest and arms,
he seemed to hear his cells cheering, and his blood surging like thawing glaciers rushing into rivers.
"This is... the power of a Kryptonian!" Lyon muttered, looking at the enormous sun millions of kilometers away through the transparent spaceship window two meters in front of him.
He had been in this world for almost nineteen years, and he never thought he would so easily obtain enough power to overturn the world.
Gazing at the deep starry sky outside the window, Lyon couldn't help but recall his past.
...
Lyon Stark, a transmigrator.
In his previous life, he was named Sung Jin, just an ordinary office worker who thought he would live a dull and uneventful life.
He didn't expect that one day, while taking the subway home, he would die from being stabbed multiple times after a failed attempt to stop a mentally ill person from attacking others with a knife.
When he opened his eyes again, he had become an almost one-year-old baby.
He had transmigrated, or rather, reincarnated, and only awakened his previous life's memories when he was one year old.
As for the memories before he was one year old, due to incomplete brain development, he had almost none.
In this world, he was initially an abandoned baby, fortuitously adopted by Howard Stark.
The first thing he saw after awakening his memories was Tony Stark's crying face.
Poor Tony, with tear-streaked cheeks and frighteningly red eyes from crying, held him in his arms without saying a word.
Later he found out that on the day he awakened his memories, the Stark couple had died in a car accident, and he was the only survivor in the car.
At that time, he was tightly wrapped in a bundle of baby cloth, casually thrown on the roadside, with the cloth roughly wrapped around his neck twice. A few meters away were the flaming wreckage of the car after the explosion.
Doctors said it was a miracle he survived, the last miracle left to this world by the Stark couple.
Perhaps Tony also believed this. He treated Lyon as the continuation of their parents' lives and truly raised Lyon as if he were his own younger brother.
So, in fact, rather than Howard Stark being Lyon's foster father, it was Tony who played both the roles of father and mother.
...Even though he didn't do a very good job.
After all, what kind of good father would hang his two-year-old son around his neck, go to parties to pick up cover girls, and then return home at night to place his son on the sofa while he spent the long night with a busty beauty?
Fortunately, Tony later met Pepper Potts.
With Pepper's care, Lyon finally escaped the predicament of being unable to sleep every night due to moans.
During those sleepless nights, Lyon often kept a mental note against Tony, thinking, "Wait till you go to Afghanistan, let's see if you'll still date cover girls."
Lyon knew that according to the plot development, Tony would inevitably have to go to Afghanistan.
He had watched almost all the Marvel series movies in his previous life.
When he heard the names of his foster parents and brother, he knew what kind of world he had traversed into.
Honestly, the danger level of the Marvel universe is quite high.
Not to mention those supervillains who frequently show up, cause chaos, and result in massive civilian casualties before meeting their end.
If the timing of his traversal into the Marvel universe was off and the God Loki hadn't yet ascended the Time Throne, he might have been apprehended and erased by the fully armed Time Variance Authority agents before he could even cry out a few loud cries.
Fortunately, although he was anxious, Lyon managed to live smoothly until he was eighteen.
He speculated that the timelines of the multiverse might have already been disrupted, and the Sacred Timeline no longer existed.
This was indeed a good time to have traversed.
However, this did not change the fact that the Marvel universe is extremely dangerous.
—Especially given his close relationship with one of the main characters, Tony Stark.
In such a world where stepping out the door carries a risk of encountering villains, he waited eighteen years but never found his golden finger (cheat ability).
He had neither Tony's intelligence, nor Spider-Man's mutations, nor the standard system of a traverser.
He could only comfort himself, thinking that at least he got to live another life, so it wasn't a loss.
Moreover, this world he had traversed into wasn't as dark and sinister as "Lord of the Mysteries," "Dao Reincarnation," or "Perfect World," so he was secretly pleased.
Even though he was just an ordinary person, he still made use of his foreknowledge to make some changes within his capacity.
In 2006, at the age of sixteen, without waiting for the Time Variance Authority to come for him, Lyon chose to try and change the world.
Using his knowledge of the plot, he guided Tony to create advantages.
First, he led Tony to develop a series of consumer tech electronic products, such as smartphones and tablets, which were not supposed to appear until after 2007.
With the push of these high-tech products, Stark Industries was no longer just a weapons manufacturer.
The company's business scope greatly expanded.
It had undoubtedly become the world's number one company.
In addition, Lyon also tried to guide Tony in developing the arc reactor.
Unfortunately, Tony had never thought about researching this aspect, always dismissing it with "this kind of technology is still impossible to achieve."
In reality, it was just because this guy was unwilling to put in the effort to research it.
After all, in Tony's first half of life, which technological product didn't he come up with just by slapping his head?
Even the epoch-making product like the smartphone was developed by him after Lyon casually said, "Wouldn't it be great if phones could turn into a screen and be directly operated by touch?" After which, with a turn of his eyes, he developed it.
Tony was too lazy to research the arc reactor, and Lyon had no way to persuade him. After all, no one could make a stubborn mule turn around.
In two years, the changes brought by Lyon ended here.
He was like a diligent bee, searching everywhere for changes in fate.
He also tried to find Bucky's whereabouts to avenge the Stark couple.
Or to expose Obadiah Stan and send him to prison...
Unfortunately, in the end, none of these goals were achieved.
Obadiah hid very deeply and only showed some flaws a year ago, which Lyon caught and informed Tony about.
But Tony was too emotional; even though he had doubts, he was still willing to trust his uncle.
After just one deep conversation with Obadiah, Tony easily felt that everything was resolved.
Faced with this helpless situation, Lyon could only repeatedly emphasize to Tony that he should not let his guard down and should avoid going alone to war zones like Afghanistan.
As for finding Bucky, Lyon had even less means to bring it up openly.
The Hydra forces were deeply entrenched in this world.
As an ordinary person, conducting an investigation would only expose himself, leading to the same fate as Howard.
He couldn't even tell Tony.
On one hand, as a younger family member, he didn't have much say, and Tony might not believe him anyway (Tony was about twenty years older than Lyon).
On the other hand, even if he didn't mention the source of the information and just guided Tony to think about it.
With Tony's arrogant nature, he would undoubtedly have JARVIS invade various secret agencies the moment he started to suspect something.
By that time, it would only result in Tony and Lyon facing assassination attempts by a wary Hydra.
Maybe even Bucky himself would come to kill them?
Eventually earning himself the achievement of killing four Starks lol.
In Marvel, ordinary people were so powerless, even if Lyon was a Stark.
His position in this world was similar to Justin Hammer of Hammer Industries—rich, but that was all. At most, he just had a genius brother.
Fortunately, everything changed on his eighteenth birthday.
